(Readers POV)

My eyes slowly started to open. I tried to look around, but it's dark. I made my eyes able to see in the dark. I'm in some sort of dungeon. I tried to move, but I'm chained to a wall.

(Y/N): Where am I?

I saw a door open, letting light flood into the room, and a man with brown hair and a scorpion tail walked in.

Tyrian: Look who finally woke up from their nap.

I looked at myself and my skin and hair are back to normal.

(Y/N): Where am I?!

Tyrian: Oh, no need to be feisty. I'm here to take you to someone special.

He said in some weird poetic voice. I tried to get out of my chains. The man got in front of me. He put a blade that's on his arm up to my neck and smiled like an insane person.

Tyrian: I said no need to be feisty, or do you not want to see tomorrow? It's in your best interest to comply.

(Y/N): Who are you?

Tyrian: Who I am doesn't matter. Our Goddess wants a word with you.

He grabbed the chains and yanked the chains off the wall.

Tyrian: Let's get going.

He started to walk away, while holding the chains. I got forced to follow him. We walked out of the dungeon and entered in a big hallway. I looked around. This place looks like a castle.

Tyrian: I think we should know each other a bit better. My name is Tyrian.

(Y/N): ...

Tyrian: Don't be rude, I'm trying to become friends.

(Y/N): Yeah, you're leading me to someone while I'm in chains. Total besties right now.

I thought about what to do. Tyrian has his back towards me. I smiled to myself, getting ready to sneak attack him. Tyrian's scorpion tail moved up to my neck, causing me to stop. He looked back at me.

Tyrian: Hahaha. Trying to be a sneaky snake, are you? Don't try it!

This dude is starting to scare me. I just nod my head. We continued to walk and we went through a pair of double doors, revealing a huge room with a lot of windows. There's a huge table made out of some kind of purple crystal. There's a woman sitting on a throne from across the table. It's the same woman that came out of Emerald. I started to sense energy from her. It's like Ozpin's, but slightly different.

Salem: Tyrian. I see you brought our guest. You may leave us.

Tyrian: Yes, my Goddess.

Tyrian let go of my chains and walked out the room, closing the doors behind him.

Salem: You may come closer.

This is weird. Who is this woman? I slowly walked towards her. After getting about a yard away from her, she put her hand up. I stopped in my tracks. Her red and black eyes staring into mine. Her eyes slightly widened.

Salem: I heard some... Interesting things about you.

(Y/N): You have? I hope the things were flattering.

Salem: What's your name?

(Y/N): It's (Y/N).

Salem: (Y/N)? What a fine name. My name is Salem.

Salem? Salem?! After hearing that name, I remembered Ozpin's words all the way back from Beacon.

Ozpin: Because Salem is the reason your family went missing.

I felt my blood start to boil. I gritted my teeth in anger and I broke the chains on me.

(Y/N): You... It's because of you! I lost my family because of you!

Salem just looked at me, not saying anything. Her face is expressionless, showing no sense of remorse for her actions. It pisses me off!

(Y/N): I'm glad your friend brought me here, because now I get to make you suffer!

I reeled my fist back. I tried to punch at Salem, but something grabbed my arm. I looked back and saw a really weird looking Grimm. It's a weird floating orb with tendrils coming from it. I tried to get the tendrils off my arm, but not succeeding.

Salem: I took away your family? What did Ozpin tell you?

(Y/N): He said that you're the reason I'm not with my family now!

Salem: I should've known Ozpin would do something like this, he has done this to you before.

Wait, what does that mean?

(Y/N): What do you mean he's done that to me before?

Salem: Right. You don't remember. Let me show you.

Salem raised her hand and an orb appeared from it. She reached over to me and put the orb into my head. I felt my mind go blank and my eyes closed.

(Y/N): What?

I felt my mind coming back to me. I felt pain all over my body. I slowly opened my eyes and I'm in the middle of a ruined castle. Fire is burning everywhere. I tried to move my body to get up, but I couldn't. I looked down and saw my arms and legs are gone and that my body is younger. What happened to me?

(Y/N): Hel...Help...

I started to hear a woman crying. I looked over and saw a white skinned woman wearing a black dress. Is that Salem? She's kneeling next to a charred body.

(Y/N): ...Salem...?

She managed to hear my quiet call. She turned around and tears are streaming down her face.

Salem: My sweet baby boy. Are you actually alive?

(Y/N): W-What...?

Salem: It's me. Mommy, remember?

Mommy?! I have to be dreaming. But all this pain, it feels too real. Salem gently picked me up and held me close.

Salem: Please don't leave me too.

She said between broken sobs. I felt my arms and legs slowly grow back by themselves. I felt my eyes close by themselves again. I opened them again and I'm standing a few feet away from Salem.

Salem: Ozma! How could you do this?! He's our son!

I turned around and saw a man I don't recognize.

Ozma: (Y/N). Kill her.

I felt my body jump at Salem. Salem put her hands up and some weird orb came out of her hands, going through my body. My eyes closed again.

Ozma: (Y/N)!

I opened my eyes and I saw different man across from me. I looked down at my body and my skin is white and my veins are a dark purple color.

Ozma: Please! Listen to me!

Salem: Son, end this man.

My body made an extra pair of arms. I ran at the man and grabbed him, slamming him into the ground.

Salem: I think that's enough.

I blinked and I'm back in the big room with Salem sitting next to me. The floating orb still has a hold of me.

(Y/N): What was all that?

Salem: It's what Ozpin didn't tell you. I used some magic to unlock some dormant memories deep from your subconscious. More of those memories should come back to you later on.

(Y/N): Wait, so you're my mom?

Salem: I am.

(Y/N): Why should I believe you?!

Salem: You've got a taste of it. The power of the Grimm at Haven. A power you've inherited from me. Is that enough evidence for you?

I felt my body start to shake. This can't be it. There's no way the woman I've wanted to kill is my mother.

Salem: I'm sure this is confusing for you. To be honest, it's still confusing for me.

Salem grabbed my hand gently. She gave me a genuine smile.

Salem: I'm just glad you're back here with me.

Memories started to fill my head. It's when I was a young child. I was running at Salem. I jumped at her and she caught me, giving me a tight, loving hug.

(Y/N): I need to lay down.

Salem: Of course.

She stood up from her throne.

Salem: Follow me. I'll show you to your room.
