chapter 8 : Hanna
The next two weeks flew by. Every day I was getting more and more excited to see Draco. We still had our little meetings right after dinner. He was beginning to grow on me. After each time that we met, I had even more hope that it would grow to something more. We still had our little arrangement. I asked one question, and he asked one question.
So, far he’s asked me what house I was in, if I had any siblings, when my birthday was. He even had to gull to ask if I was a virgin. I answered yes, of course. He wasn’t shocked one bit. I asked him the same question just to get back at him. He was silent at first, but then he shook his head. He was not a virgin. I desperately wanted to ask him who he had lost it to, but I had used up my question.
I planned on asking him that night though. The night that we had been seeing each other for two weeks.
It was the middle of September. The leaves on the trees were starting to turn a golden color, and the sun was starting to set a little bit earlier. I pulled on my jacket and scarf before hightailing it down to the entrance, where Draco was waiting on me.
He smiled at me. “Hello there.”
“Hi,” I smiled back.
He led the way outside into the somewhat chilly air. When we arrived at the bottom of the steps, he turned to me with a smirk on his face. I smiled back and put my hands on my hips. What did he have up his sleeve this time?”
“You’re it!” he shouted before tapping my arm and running away.
I giggled. “Well, if that’s the way you want to play it!”
I chased him down to the shore of the lake. I was already out of breath and stopped to catch it. It was so easy to lose your breath around him. It was something that naturally happened. No matter what he did, he took my breath away. I started running again and tripped over some tree roots.
“Hanna!” Draco yelled before coming over to help me up.
I just smirked at him when he reached me, and before he could touch me, I slapped his leg. “You’re it,” I replied, standing.
“That’s not fair,” he pouted, crossing his arms, “you cheated!”
I giggled. “All is fair in love and war.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” he asked.
“This means war,” I said, blowing on his face before turning and sprinting back down to the shore of the lake.
He chased after me. I wasn’t a match for him for he caught up with me right away and tackled me before we could even reach the shore. We rolled on the grass and landed with him on top of me. My breath caught in my throat and the butterflies in my stomach began to flutter as his grey eyes penetrated mine.
“Sorry,” he smirked, “I tripped.”
“No problem,” I said breathlessly.
“What to do now?”
I bit my lip. “You could get off of me,” I suggested.
“I could.”
“Now,” I pushed up on his chest and he reluctantly got off me.
We both just sat there for a few moments before anything was said. I kept stealing glances at him, but he wasn’t being coy about trying to look at me because he was staring. I bit my lip again before looking at him once more.
“You ask first this time,” he said, giving me the go.
I cleared my throat, preparing myself. “Who did you lose your virginity to?”
He looked away from me and lost his smile. “I dunno if I want to answer that.”
“Really? Why not?” I pressed, desperately wanting to know this tad bit of information that any normal girl would not want to know.
“Because of whom it was with. You might judge me for it because she’s kind of a whore,” he shrugged.
I shrugged as well. “I could never judge you on who you were before you ever even met me, Draco. I can only judge you on the time I’ve spent with you and anything that happens within that time frame.”
He nodded. “Plus,” he weakly smirked, “its part of our rules. We have to answer no matter what the question is.”
“Are you sure you’re not making that one up because I don’t remember that one,” I tilted my head at him.
“Okay,” he sighed, “maybe you didn’t declare it as an official rule, but I think it should be a rule. What do you think?”
“Just get on with it!” I said, slightly pushing his arm with my finger tips.
“Alright,” he said, stroking his chin dramatically, “Where to begin?”
I laughed at him.
He looked back at me. “I love your laugh.”
I narrowed my eyes at him. “Stop stalling and just get on with it already!”
“Well, it was last year. I was really beginning to fall for a fellow Slytherin. I thought that she was the one for me. Sometimes I wish that I had never even started things with her,” he got serious pretty fast, “because she’ll take what she wants and just leave before deciding to come back. She thrives on the gossip and drama that it creates. It’s a vicious cycle that repeats. Right now, that relationship is on hiatas because she’s gone off telling everyone that I hit her the other night.”
“Did you?” I couldn’t help but ask.
“No, I didn’t.”
“Well, who is she?”
He swallowed hard. “Pansy Parkinson.”
“There has been loads of gossip about the two of you over the past year come to think of it. I just never chose to listen to any of it,” I said, looking him straight in the eye, “and I never judge anyone unless it comes straight from their lips.”
He smiled. “That’s good to know.”
“What was it like?” I asked, wanting to know.
“What was what like?”
“You know,” my cheeks flushed, “sex.”
“I wouldn’t know what it’s like for the girl, but for a guy it’s always enjoyable, unless we can come,” he said.
Mu mouth fell open. “Have you had sex more than just the one time then?”
He nodded. “Loads of time. I’m what you would call experienced.”
I rolled my eyes, done with the topic of virginity and sex. “You have a question before we go up to the castle, you know that?” I said, playfully poking him in the arm.
“I do, don’t I?” he smirked.
“And be quick about it,” I said, pulling up my sleeve to check my watch, “because all we have is five minutes.”
He sighed. “Do you think you’ll ever fall for me, Hanna Honeyyeager?”
“For you?” I asked, being as difficult as I could.
He nodded.
“Well, I don’t know, I’ll have to think about it…” I said, tapping my chin dramatically.
“Seriously,” he pushed, poking my knee slightly.
I looked straight into his eyes, “Falling for you would be like falling into a frozen lake.”
He looked at me funny, and I just had to laugh.
“But I’m willing to take that chance,” I smirked before running up to the castle before him.
