chapter 22 : Pansy

I still couldn’t believe that I was letting Robbie put his arm around me, but I’d do anything to get my Draco back. I smirked at how Draco couldn’t stop glancing over at us like it was something that was so unexpected, but we also needed to get a certain tramp’s attention. Hanna Honeyyeager needed to put in her place. She just couldn’t swoop in and steal my man away from me. I know I’ve gotten to her a little. Our tutoring sessions have still been going on. That’s when I get to her all about when Draco was with me. She tenses all over as if they haven’t done it yet. I bet she’s too nervous to do anything about that part of the relationship.

“It’s working,” Robbie whispered in my ear.

I smiled and turned to look at him. “Of course it is. I’m a friggin’ genius, Rob. You should know that.”

He nodded and smiled at me, his green eyes brightening. “Do we really have to spend the whole time together? I was hoping to go odd with Gregory, Ben, and Heath for a little while. You know, do some guy things.” He shrugged.

“You’ll have a little bit of time for that. Just walk me there and meet me at the three broomsticks within an hour. Does that work for you?” I smirked.

He nodded. “Of course it does,” he paused and noticed that Gregory was looking down the table at him and Pansy, “Babe.” He grinned a lopsided grin that kind of made him look rather… I dunnno… cute?

OH MY GOSH! Did I just think that he looked a little cute? That was it. After this date, it’s over. It’s totally over. I can’t even believe that I was even thinking that at all. I. Was. Going. Nuts.

“Let’s just go,” I rolled my eyes at him and stood.

We started walking towards the exit, and Robbie did something that was totally unexpected: he grabbed my hand. Not only did he grab my hand, he intertwined his fingers with mine, just like you see on all those muggle movies. Aww, man. I just admitted that I watch muggle movies. WOW. Just so you know, I only watch the romance ones. They’re so cute!

Anyway…

It just seemed so weird to me that he would hold my hand like that. Draco had never done it. He never showed me any affection at all in public. Perhaps he would put his arm around me after a while, but other than that nothing, especially holding my hand. He had never done it. I kind of liked it. It felt really nice, like he wanted to show the whole world that we were together, but I knew better. He was just laying it on thick. A little too thick if you asked me.

“What?” he asked, noticing that I looked oddly at how our hands were fitting together so…perfectly.

I shrugged. “Nothing.” I looked away, but there was definitely something going on. Something that never happened to me.

“Is that…” Robbie asked as a huge smile spread across his face. “Are you blushing?”

I shook my head. “Of course not. What makes you think that?”

“Um, other than the fact that you’re whole face is turning red, nothing.”

“Let’s just go,” I murmured, pulling him faster along.

I spent the whole first hour just shopping with Millicent. It was a rather boring first hour. I kept thinking about Robbie and how he held my hand tenderly. Then I would wake myself up and think about Draco, but it would just go straight back to Robbie. This wasn’t good and I could tell.

“Hey,” Robbie said, smiling as he spotted me sitting alone at the Three Broomsticks. “How’s it hanging?”

I couldn’t help but smile back. “Nothing much, handsome. How about yoursfelf?”

“Well,” he smirked. “It’s hanging pretty good.”

And I laughed.

I couldn’t help it. I thought it was funny, even though it was not that funny and a tad inappropriate, but it was funny. To me. I slapped him playfully on the arm. Hey, we were pretty good at acting. People looked at us as if we were an actual couple. I have to admit that I liked it. Flirting in public was kind of fun, and I liked how people smiled sweetly at us. People didn’t smile like that when Draco and I were together. This was…different, something that I wasn’t used to.

Maybe the small things did matter in a relationship and not just the shagging. Perhaps all the little things are the big things that make life worth living. Shaggin was definitely not the top of my list when it came to relationships, never was, but I always thought that it had to be like that. That sex was the first thing that should come in a relationship. It sure did seem important to Draco.

“So, tell me,” Robbie said, stroking my hand with his thumb, which was totally cute and giving me tingles. “what’s on your mind? You seem to be thinking pretty hard there, champ.”

Seriously? He was asking me what I was thinking? Draco never did that. Nor did he look me straight in the eyes as he waited for me to tell him. So, of course, I had to tell him. How could I not when he’s staring me down like that? His eyes also didn’t wonder away from my face while I talked. Draco’s always wondered when he got the tiniest bored with what I was talking about. Mainly down to my chest, and then he would start making love to me.

“I believe that you need to show the girl that you care for her other than just shagging her. You know what I mean? There’s other, simple ways to complete that task. It’s the only way that Hanna would take us seriously, trust me.”

“Do you think they’ve done it yet?” I found myself spilling out the question without even thinking.

“Who? Hanna and Draco?” He shook his head. “Of course not. Hanna is very strict when it comes to sex. Trust me. She never let me near her even if she could sense that I was thinking about shagging her.”

“Why are they together then?”

He shrugged. “How would I know? I’m surprised myself. Aren’t all Slytherins prejudiced against Gryffindors and Muggleborns?”

My eyes widened. “Hanna’s a mudblood?!”

He nodded. “Yes, she is. Why are you so surprised? I thought everyone knew.”

“Not me, which means that Draco, most likely, doesn’t know that either or he would’ve dropped her so fast.”

“What do you mean he would’ve dropped her? Is he honestly one of those people who are disgusted by mudbloods? He must not know that…” He had trailed off.

I shrugged. “If they haven’t done it yet, he doesn’t know.” I then spotted Hanna and her little friend that I had seen with Blaise earlier. “Come one. There they go!” I said standing and grabbing his hand as I pulled him along behind me.

We followed them until they were on the path between Hogsmaede and Hogwarts. They were laughing and giggling and gossiping. I rolled my eyes, unable to take the sight any longer. I took the situation into my hands and announced our presence.

“I had a lot of fun, Rob. Thank you so much for taking me!” I said rather loudly as they turned to look at me. “What are you looking at, Honeyyeager and what’s her face.”

The girl just rolled her dark eyes and flung her dark hair. “My name is Bella, bitch. You better watch it. What’s your deal anyway? No offense or anything, but we know that Rob here would never go for you unless you made some kind of deal with him to try to get Hanna and Draco jealous. Well, guess what?”

“It didn’t work!” Hanna said, finally blowing her top. I was hoping I would get to see her get angry. “I know that you want Draco back, but you can’t have him. I’m with him now, so get used to it.”

“How dare you say that? You know that Draco isn’t right for you. Besides, I wouldn’t play Robbie like that. I actually have feelings you know?” I lied with a smirk. “So, you bitches better believe it.”

“Prove it,” Bella challenged. “Kiss him right here, right now. A nice big juicy kiss right on the lips. Go on, Pansy. Pull up you’re big girl panties and show us what you’ve got.”

I rolled my eyes, but on the inside, my heart was a flutter. Kiss him? But I can’t do that. I just can’t. It’s not what I’m here to do. I’m here to get Draco back, not make out with Robbie, but I did say that I would do anything to get Draco back. I guess you can count this as anything.

“We don’t have anything to prove to you-“

“It’s okay, Rob. If they want to see a kiss, they’ll see a kiss,” I smirked, turning to him. “Now, just come over here and kiss me,” I swallowed hard. “Baby.”

He took those steps but it seemed like it took him forever. He took me in his arms gently and pierced my brown eyes with his green. I gulped before putting my arms around his neck. His breathing had become ragged and his face went pale. I hoped that I didn’t have that same panic stricken look on my face. So, without another thought, I pulled him down to me for a kiss. Our lips touched, and I instantly saw fireworks.
