"Jaeminnie hyung!" Jeno beams brightly while running towards him, he was alone and that made Jaemin raise a brow. The younger hugs him before kissing his cheek, like always.

Jaemin hums at him and lets the younger link their arms before they started walking off. "Why were you alone?" He couldn't help but ask.

Jeno looks at him and shrugged, "I wanted to see if you were already waiting for me." He said.

His answer made them halt on their walk, he turns to Jaemin who was glaring at him. "And what if I wasn't?" He asked with a cold tone.

The younger tilts his head, "hyung, what a–" he tries to ask the elder on what he was talking about, but sadly got interrupted by the vampire boy.

"Jeno. Do you realize something could've happened if I wasn't there yet?" Jaemin said with a strict look, "stay with your friends until I'm there." He adds.

Jeno pouts and stuffs his face against the elder's chest, "I'm sorry, hyung! I won't do it again." He easily submits with his voice being muffled.

Rolling his eyes, Jaemin scoffs and pushes his face away a little. "Just– listen to me." He said.

He doesn't even know why he cares so much. Especially now. Previously, he'd usually tell Jeno to go home already, with or without someone with him.

Yet, now that Jeno just stood outside already waiting for him first– alone, made him grit his teeth while he clenches his hands in his pockets for a second.

"But you didn't tell me anything about what you want me to do, hyung." Jeno said matter-of-a-factly.

Touché.

Pursing his lips, Jaemin doesn't know why but he suddenly blurts out. "Then I'll tell you from now on, pup."

Jaemin had his eyes wide open and swallowed dryly, he was expecting for Jeno to squeal loudly or have that usual reaction when Jaemin did something that made him feel giddy.

"What was that hyung?" Was Jeno's reply instead.

The elder blinked and realized that a loud truck just drove passed them, resulting for Jeno to not hear anything from him.

He doesn't know what to feel– I mean, what?

"Nothing." He muttered before tugging the younger with him by their linked arms to continue on their walk.

Jeno being Jeno, again, started whining at him. "Wait nooo~ hyung what did you say? I didn't hear you because of that truck, I'm sorry!" He pries.

Jaemin huffs and grumbles, "nothing, now behave yourself." He dismisses while looking straight ahead to bite his lip and hoping that Jeno doesn't realize his pale cheeks now slightly in a shade of pink.

"Bongsik~ my lil angel." Jeno runs towards the said cat and picks her up in his arms, pecking her multiple times on the head as she lets out satisfied purrs from being so spoiled by the human.

Ever since that day– which wasn't too long ago, Jaemin couldn't see Bongsik as the same as he met her before. It felt like she was a different Bongsik now.

It's funny because the cat literally just communicated with him– and still is, secretly. Unbeknownst to the happy-go-lucky boy with them.

But he couldn't help it, he felt a little intimidated by a talking cat. Maybe it's the way she's sort of like him– an immortal, or maybe it's how she says things to him about Jeno, that always made him gulp a bit.

He gets she's protecting the boy, still– can the cold and scary threats go away? Bongsik literally tells him warnings or threats before laughing it off like it was funny.

"She's crazy." He had thought a few times now.

Lmao, look who the fuck is talking–

"Hyung, is everything alright? You've been spacing out now for a few minutes." Jeno interrupts him from his thoughts.

He then gasps a little, "are you hungry? When was the last time you fed yourself– HYUNG!" He suddenly scolds.

Jaemin knitted his eyebrows in confusion. He isn't doing anything but standing there, why did Jeno raise his voice at him? Also how dare he raise his voice at him. Jaemin wants to teach him a le–

"Hyung! Why didn't you– urgh!" Jeno lets Bongsik jump off from his arms as he began to rub his temples.

"Didn't do what?" Jaemin was genuinely dumbfounded right now. What did he fucking do?

Jeno looks up at him, trying to look angry but failed. Wait a minute– is he squinting his eyes to try glaring at him?

"Stop doing that." Jaemin groans at him, looking away for a moment to click his tongue.

The younger huffs back, "I don't know what you're talking about again but don't try to deflect!" He stomps over to him.

"What did I even–"

"Why didn't you feed yourself from me?" Jeno scolds, but it sounded more like a whine for the elder.

The vampire boy rolled his eyes, "why would I?" He said boldly.

"We made a deal, I don't want you to suffer–"

"I only said that so you could shut up." Jaemin scowls at him. He didn't realize but Jeno's angry act changed for a second before he continued to pout.

He earned a low meow nearby, he turns to Bongsik who was lowly howling at him with her pupils turned into slits.

He looks back to Jeno who sighed softly, "... Well just remember the deal always stands and you can ask me anytime." He mumbled.

He then chewed on his lip, "I'll... I'll go change for a moment." He excuses himself and lazily drags his feet on the ground as he headed off to his room.

"Wow. You really said that to him, huh." Bongsik sarcastically comments. "Can't say I'm surprised, your highness." She drawls.

Jaemin hisses at her with his fangs out, "I told you to shut up about that." He grits and only earned a meow from the familiar.

"Now stop talking to me while Jeno's here, he'll find out." He coldly said.

The cat huffs and licks her paws calmly, "you make it sound like you're cheating on him."

"What did you say?!" Jaemin hisses at her again, eyes red, irritated at the talking cat.

Bongsik hums and stretches one of her hind legs to clean it, "I'll shut up about it if you apologize to Jeno. Then in return I'll reveal my true self and his parents' history to you both."

Jaemin blinks and licks his fangs as he pondered in thought. Why was he even struggling?

"Jaemin." Bongsik calls him again, voice gentle yet her eyes were stern. "You know Jeno deserves both of those."

He only responds with a sigh.

"My dear soulmate, I'm sorry to annoy you..."

"Pup, I can't believe I'm agreeing with your damn cat right now."
