Dipper's POV

I bolted from my bed nearly falling off as well. The memories of yesterday flooded my brain and suddenly I was very confused to how I had ended up in the Mystery Shack.

Did Grunkle Ford find me? Or was it all a dream?

I looked out the window. No chaos, no fire, everything seemed normal. I even thought I could hear the familiar oinks of Waddles outside.

"I have to tell Grunkle Ford," I whispered, hopping from my bed.

Grabbing some clothes I quickly put them on not bothering to check if they were clean. Though they probably weren't. Popping into the bathroom I looked in the mirror. No bruises, no cuts, everything seemed normal. Not even a hair on my head seemed out of place. It was too normal.

Running out of the bathroom, I ran down the stairs nearly slipping on one step. The smell of pancakes met my nose and I sighed happily.

It had all been a dream! Or rather a nightmare... but it wasn't real! Oh thank–

My thoughts stopped, as I saw an unfamiliar figure standing by the stove in the kitchen.

Did Mabel get another boyfriend???

But then they turned around and I bolted for the door. That smile. That horrible, wicked smile. And that eye! That evil glow it held could kill you if you looked too long. So I ran, but the door was locked. I pulled and I pulled but it wouldn't budge.

Then I ran to the window, and I tried to pry one open, but that was no use either. I was trapped.

"Like a bird," Bill chuckled.

"Grunkle Ford! Grunkle Stan!" I yelled, backing up against the family room wall, as Bill drew closer.

"They can't hear you!~" Bill sang, drawing closer still," so whaddya say Pine Tree? Want to have a little fun?"

"Where are they?!" I yelled. "What did you do with them?"

"I didn't do anything," Bill laughed, "do you really still think you're at home? I'm surprised Pine Tree, you didn't even see through my tricks."

"Wh-what do you–"

Suddenly the world outside began dissolving into something else. The blue sky was fading away into darkness.

I ran to the door again, pulling it roughly. This time it opened, but beyond it was more darkness.

I stared into the darkness wondering whether I should jump into the unknown or go back to where Bill was. Before I could decide I was thrust from inside with one swift kick and into the darkness I fell.

Mabel's POV

"Hey Grunkle Ford?" I called out, stepping into his lab.

"Yes, Mabel?"

"I haven't seen Dipper since early this morning and I'm getting worried."

"Oh Mabel, your brother is fine. He's completely capable of handling himself." Ford said, walking over to me. "Tell you what, if he's not back by dinner we'll go look for him, okay?"

"Okay," I sighed.

Dipper's POV

The sound of dropping water filled my ears, as the smell of mildew and blood filled my nose. All around me was darkness, and it terrified me completely. The fact that Bill could be watching me right now sent shivers down my spine.

"Oh I am," he chuckled.

I froze again, though I realized I was not bound in any way. I was free to walk, but would the darkness permit?

"I'll tell you what Pine Tree! If you can find your way out of here by yourself I'll leave you alone."

I slowly stood from the floor, shoving my hands in my pockets, not prepared to shake for it.

"No need for making deals. Either you get out or you don't."

"What's the catch?" I asked fiercely.

"No catch. You only have to survive."

There it was. He expected me to survive which meant he'd done something. He'd boobytrapped the place.

"Right you are Pine Tree. But would you rather see your family again or starve to death?"

Ignoring his voice I put out my hands and began feeling around me. After a few moments I found a wall, but that was just my first mistake. Something shot out at me, striking me in the eye. I screamed in pain, and felt the blood trickling down my face. I tried touching my eye, but I only found a bloody socket.

"My eye! Where's my eye!?" I cried into the darkness. "Bill what did you–"

"Oh Pine Tree don't be so dramatic. Having one eye is much better than two. Trust me!"

"I'd never trust you Bill! Give me back my eye!"

"No can do Pine Tree! See you at the exit!~"

Pulling my knees to my chest I closed my eyes... my eye and tried not to cry.

Shhh Dipper you're fine. Don't cry. Don't cry. You're fine. You can do this! You just have to find the exit...

Standing up again, I slowly felt around me, backing away from any walls when I felt them and trying not to trip over rocks. Instead I stepped on them, but that was my second mistake. Something flew towards me before striking me in my hip, causing me to fall forward onto the dirty cave floor.

Reaching towards my hip I felt the hilt of a dagger. It was lunged deep into my hip and moving made it shift deeper.

If I pull it out I could bleed to death but if I leave it in I might never walk right again...

If one thing was for certain it was that I wasn't getting out of this place alive.

Heyyyyy! I hope you liked the chapter! I'm already working on the next one so it should be out soon!

See you again soon!~
