Hey everyone! I think I'm going to be writing in first person POVs from now on. It's easier for me to do, so I hope that's okay with you guys.
"Dipper it's been two days I think you've laid in bed enough," Mabel groaned.
"Are you bored now that your friends can't hang out?" I chuckled.
"Yes," she groaned again, "please hang with me!"
"Alright," I sighed.
Taking the blanket off of myself, I stood up. Mabel's eyes widened slightly. I couldn't blame he though. I looked awful. My bruises looked worse than before, I had bags under my eyes, and my head was still wrapped up.
"On second thought.. maybe you should stay in bed."
"Mabel I want to hang out with you. I'll be fine." I replied putting on my vest.
"Are you sure?" She asked looking me in the eyes.
"Yes Mabel," I sighed.
Truthfully, I wasn't fine. Every time I tried to sleep I was plagued with nightmares, but when I woke I had no memory of them, and each time more bruises littered my body.
Something was wrong with me, but I didn't know what. Maybe when Grunkle Ford came back I could ask him about it, but he wouldn't be back for two more days, so hopefully I can survive until then.
All of a sudden my vision went black and I fell to the floor. My vision cleared but instead of seeing the floor beneath me I saw myself crouching on the ground with Mabel next to me.
"Oh no," I cried out, "no no no no! What happened?! Why am I not in my body?"
My body stood from the floor, and looked towards me. I had a smirk plastered on my face.
Those eyes! I know those eyes!
"Bill?" I called out.
Whoever was controlling my body chuckled and nodded.
"Dipper are you okay?" Mabel asked, not me, but the imposter in my body.
"I'm fine sister. I just tripped."
"Mabel don't listen he's lying! Mabel I'm right here!" I yelled uselessly.
I tried yelling again, even though I knew it was useless.
"Alright meet me downstairs in five minutes," Mabel said before rushing out of the attic happily.
"Bill what did you do?!" I yelled towards the demon possessing my body.
"Oh Pine Tree I'm just having a little fun!"
"Get out of my body!" I growled, "we defeated you!"
"You thought you did," he chuckled, "I can never be truly destroyed."
"B-but how?" I choked out unable to fathom the events playing before me.
"I know things Pine Tree. For example, how your Grunkle's came home early and are nearly here."
My eyes widened.
I have to tell them! I have to tell them Bill is back!
"You aren't going to tell them anything Pine Tree or else you'll have to face consequences."
"Like what?" I spat.
"Let's just say every Shooting Star falls eventually," he said grinning madly.
He was talking about Mabel. Could he really hurt her? Did he really have that much power?
"I have more power than you can imagine, and I will kill your sister if you step out of line. Got it?"
"Yes," I said immediately.
There was no way I'd let him hurt Mabel. I'd rather him hurt me than her.
"Oh really? In that case..."
Bill reached into my pocket and took out my pocket knife. Opening it, he drew it across my leg, drawing blood over myself and the floor.
"Bill stop!" I screamed, "I'll do anything! Just stop!"
"Alright, let's make a deal."
"A d-deal?" I choked out.
"You heard me Pine Tree. I won't hurt your family in exchange for the journals."
"Fine. Anything else?" I growled.
"You can't tell your family I'm back," he chuckled.
"Okay," I whispered.
Raising his hand, well my hand, it lit on fire and I shook it. After a few seconds everything went black, and once again I was in my body.
"Just as underwhelming as I remember," I groaned.
The cut on my leg was gone, along with my pocket knife. Putting on my hat, I finally walked downstairs.
"Dipper Grunkle Stan and Ford are back!" Mabel yelled running up to me.
"Really?" I asked pretending to be surprised.
Though I was partially surprised, I was also half worried they would know something was wrong.
I quickly pulled up my socks hoping to hide some of the bruises. The bandage on my head was covered by my hat, so the only bruises left were on my arms.
I ran outside after Mabel. Both of my Grunkles stood with open arms. I ran to Grunkle Ford first while Mabel ran to Stan. After hugging Ford, Mabel and I switched.
"I missed you two so much," Grunkle Stan said squeezing me.
"We missed you too!" Mabel yelled excitedly.
"You came back early!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah we finished out research early, so we thought we'd surprise you!" Grunkle Ford replied happily.
"I have tons of knew creatures and anomalies to show you Dipper!"
I smiled slightly. This reminded me of when Mabel and I used to go Mystery hunting. Those were the good old days. Though they weren't even that long ago.
"How's the shack holding up?" Grunkle Stan asked.
"Great!" Mabel yelled jumping around.
Just then Soos and Wendy came outside. Both ran over, ecstatic that Grunkle Ford and Grunkle Stan had returned.
I myself was beyond excited, but hiding the fact that Bill was alive from them was going to be really hard. Especially hiding it from Ford. He's a genius!
"What do ya say we start making dinner and then we can talk about our trip."
"Sounds awesome," I replied half heartedly.
Truthfully I wanted nothing more than to be excited, but something told me Bill was up to no good, and just sitting around pretending he wasn't alive wasn't going to help. I needed to do something. Something to stop him from wreaking havoc on the entire town. But what?
