Hey everyone, I'm back! I wanted to apologize for the lack of updates on this story recently. I've been so focused on my other story that I'd forgotten about this one. Managing two stories isn't the easiest, but I'm going to try my best! Now here is a very long awaited chapter...

Dipper's POV

I slept soundly last night. No nightmares and definitely no Bill. I felt like a new person. I wasn't tired and my body didn't ache. My bruises had even started to heal.

"Can I have another pancake?" I asked Grunkle Stan, who was hoarding the large plate piled with pancakes.

"Sure thing kiddo," he replied, tossing a pancake onto my plate.

Looking out the window to the tree-line, I saw no Bill. I sighed happily at the thought of Bill being gone. No more nights full of nightmares and no more paranoia.

"What are you so happy about Dipper?" Grunkle Ford asked.

I sighed again and simply shrugged my shoulders.

"Oooh Dipper's in love!!" Mabel squealed.

"I am not in love! Where did you even get that idea??"

"Dipper, it's alright. If there is someone on your mind you can tell us."

"He's right. Stan, Mabel and I will always be there to listen. Young love is a fragile thing."

"I'll say," Mabel laughed.

"I AM NOT IN LOVE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!"

"Dipper's in denial!" Mabel squealed.

I covered my ears in attempt to get away from their stupid love talk, but even with my hands pressed tightly over my ears I could hear them guessing different girls from around town. Finally, I had enough.

"I'M NOT IN LOVE FOR THE LAST TIME! I'M JUST HAPPY BECAUSE I VANQUISHED BILL CIPHER!"

The three stopped suddenly, and turned towards me now listening intently. Grunkle Ford's face was both perplexed and almost understanding. For the first time in a while I felt the heat rise in my cheeks.

"So he is back. Or was at least. How did you vanquish him."

"Well early this summer I found a statue of Bill that must have been left over from.. Weirdmageddon. I accidentally touched his hand and then he started showing up everywhere, taunting me and..." I trailed off unable to finish the rest.

"So one day I had enough. I destroyed his statue. It was what was keeping him here, so it had to be destroyed."

"Dipper I'm proud of you for handling it so well, but you should have told us."

"I know," I sighed.

"But there is still a girl, right?" Mabel asked hopefully.

"No Mabel. There is no girl."

Mabel fell back in her chair, almost looking guilty for taunting me so much. I laughed at her stubbornness, and finished eating my pancakes.

Mabel's POV

I had to admit I was a little disappointed that Dipper wasn't in love, but I'm more relieved he finally told us what was wrong with him.

"So Dipper, I think it's time we get back to the good old Mystery Twins."

Dipper nodded, a much needed smile appearing on his face. Finally we would have a better summer! And it would, thankfully, be Bill Cipher free!

"I'll clear your plates, you two go and have fun."

Dipper and I leapt from the table, excited to go back into the forest to find new mysteries, if there were any. Dipper grabbed the third journal before following me outside.

"Mabel wait!" Grunkle Stan called, "Your friends are on the phone."

I looked toward Dipper sympathetically.

"I'll be quick. Go ahead and I'll catch up!"

Dipper's POV

Clutching the journal tightly, I made my way into the forest. A soft breeze blew my hair around revealing my embarrassing birthmark. I pulled my hat down further, trying to hide it. I'd always hated my birthmark even though it got me the name Dipper.

I walked for a while, hoping Mabel would catch up, but maybe she was still on the phone with her friends. I remember one night Mabel was on the phone for three long hours talking to them.

After walking for another few minutes I came upon a tiny little lopsided shed. It looked quite suspicious so I took a step inside. There was strange writing all over the wall, but I was sure it was just graffiti.

"What a nice surprise!"

I froze. My feet became glued to the floor, and I couldn't even turn my head, though I didn't need to look to know who was standing behind me.

"Bill," I breathed out.

"The one and only!"

"B-But how did you..."

"Did you really think that destroying the statue would get rid of me? Besides it won't work if you don't destroy the whole thing."

My eyes widened as Bill walked around to face me, holding a little stone top hat in his hands.

I was sure I had destroyed it! Or had I only kicked it off?? But that means that there is still one arm left too.. Unless he fixed the whole thing!?

"So Pine Tree, why don't we start where we left off?"

I tried to make a run for the door, but it slammed in front of me. The familiar cold touch of chains wrapped around my wrists and I was pulled into Bill's menacing grasp.

"Welcome to my torture shack, Pine Tree~"

"P-Please stop!" I gasped.

"Oh Pine Tree, don't you understand? I will torture you until you beg for death. I will ruin your sanity until your only thought is death. But I will leave you to decide whether or not death awaits you. Do you understand?"

I looked away, not wanting to stare into his yellow cat like eye any longer. Bill Grabbed my chin tightly, forcing me to look at him.

"Do you understand?" He growled.

No.

Throwing my head back, I head butted him in the nose sending him spiraling back towards the wall. I made a break for the door, throwing it open, and running for my life.

"MABEL! GRUNKLE FORD! GRUNKLE STAN! SOMEONE HELP!"

Turning around for a brief second I saw Bill looming in the doorway with a wide smirk on his face.

Why is he smili-

"AHHH!"

Not realizing where I was going, I fell down, down, down and down further. Bill knew there was a small cliff there, and he let me fall.

It must have been only 20 feet, but it was steep and full of jagged rocks that pierced my already bruised skin.

I rolled once before landing harshly on my back, knocking the air from my lungs. I was winded terribly, and I couldn't breathe. Gasping for air, I felt some finally reach my lungs, but then it was gone again.

Everything around me was swirling, the trees, the sky, everything was one big blur, but I could still make out his one terrible, menacing, yellow eye.

"Night, night Pine Tree~"
