Ronin's Campus
A screeching sound of a sword colliding on the ground was heard when a certain swordswoman had entered campus. She wasn’t informed that she had to change into her school uniform in order to attend classes; good thing a certain uncool of a sensei had kidnapped—not literally—but he did throw a short commotion upon yelling that the Ronin was just a cosplayer and dragged her elsewhere so no one could see and suspect that she was the famous delinquent of Miyagi.
“Umm… sensei, why did you take me here?” asked the stupor gal while mindlessly rotated her head from left to right; examining the room they were in. I suppose Gina already informed him of my real name.
They were in the faculty room; a few teachers were still around even though classes had started in Karasuno.
The reason why Shina was stuck with Takeda is because the reminder Gina had given him the night before the swordswoman had gone to school. That day when the two fought, Shina left the house without telling neither where she went nor when she’ll come back. She did go home just a few minutes before midnight. No one ever knew her travels. And never knew the reason behind her considering going to school.
The only thing she said as a confirmation regarding to her studies. All she did was to place her school bag and school uniform on the table and ordered Kohaku to ready it for her and even wash her clothing.
Everyone was speechless at her decisions and once again concluded that she is one unreadable being.
Although Shina was harmless at the moment, Takeda couldn’t help but fret because the hazardous background he knows about the swordswoman. But he told himself it isn’t right to judge, so he wants to know more about this student that was entrusted to him by Gina.
“Go-Good morning Shina-san! I’m Takeda Ittetsu-sensei! You-You can call me sensei! I’ll be your teacher starting from today!” Takeda’s quaking voice made him look like a terrified baby crow in front of a wild female beast.
Shina placed her long-length sword on her shoulders, just behind her neck that freaked out Takeda who imagine her slicing her own head of her body and begged of her to put it back into its sheath. It made him confused on how he can easily make her listen to him without getting threatened or even get beaten up.
“Sorry for dragging it like that to school. I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed…” murmured Shina with a slight bow.
“I-It’s okay Shina-san! You don’t need to apologize! I understand if you’re all jumpy today” Takeda reassured kindly and showed her a friendly smile.
“Well probably that’s because I have my period today…” Shina randomly admitted, telling Takeda as if he wasn’t a guy. Little by little, you can see the man’s face heat up, and show embarrassment upon knowing such information that only women tell among themselves.
Takeda scratched the back of his head sheepishly; didn’t know what to reply. “You-You don’t have trouble telling hygienic stuff to guys, do you, Shina-san?” Shina nodded her head as a response to Takeda’s shy question. “Are all the ones you’re with at home are guys?” and with another nod, it was confirmed.
Shina lived with gangsters in the house. And never had she any feminine friend of hers.
The swordswoman remained silent, just showing those cold crimson eyes staring at Takeda as he took out Shina’s schedule that was personally handed to him by the Dean. The head trusted him in taking care of the Ronin while she roams around the grounds of Karasuno. They were to depend on a simple timid teacher like Takeda who tries his best not shiver while talking to his own student.
“Um, so you’re class is 1-3. You’re classmates with Kageyama-kun” Takeda read to Shina as they walked through the hallways after they left the faculty room.
“Kageyama?” Shina was unfamiliar of nasty looking always with a frown setter of the volleyball club. Takeda described his features to her which she immediately recalled because of how significant they are in recognizing the first year. “Oh him… my comrades doesn’t like his attitude. Actually, they don’t like him at all” mentioned the swordswoman making her teacher froze in fear for the indecent looking Kageyama whose impressions of his aren’t the best.
“We-Well they don’t personally know Kageyama-kun after all. But once you get to know him, I’m sure you’ll get along with him Shina-san” and with that statement, they reached the door of Shina’s classroom where a certain raven haired guy appeared as he opened the sliding door to be greeted by the crimson haired girl’s blank stare.
“Huh?” as usual, he always gives people frowns that he never seems to get off his face.
Shina found his expression irking that hit a nerve on her forehead. Ironically, what Takeda said a while ago is the total opposite of how the Ronin thinks of Kageyama.
I get a feeling we’ll always end up fighting whatever we do.
“Ah, Kageyama-kun! You may know her already but let me introduce you formally to Shina Tomoe-san, also known as Ronin” Takeda introduced the new transferee to Kageyama who bobbed his head as a greeting that didn’t really leave good impression. “Shina-san, this is Kageyama Tobio-kun. You’ll be classmates with him starting today!”
Shina shifted her head to the side and clicked her tongue silently. Of all people. She obviously didn’t show any likeness towards the setter.
“Your homeroom adviser is Fujita Ami-sensei. She’ll make you introduce herself before you start your class” Takeda’s reminder made Shina fidget uncomfortably.
“Is that really necessary?” she murmured quietly.
“Huh? Of course it is. You’re a new student. At least tell your classmates your name” Takeda smiled giving her schedule.
“But whatever name I give, they’ll always remember one name they think of me…” the swordswoman looked down, referring to her title as the Red Ronin. Takeda patted her shoulder reassuringly and gave an ‘ok’ sign.
“That’s why you’re studying here to make a new title for yourself. Prove yourself worthy of remembering your real name. And the real you. Just be yourself! I’m sure you’re not what they think you are”
With those inspiring words, Takeda pushed Shina inside the classroom with her adding weight to herself in order to stay outside. She looked like a preschooler attending her first day of school.
“Please take care of her” was the adviser’s one last reminder to his setter who exhaled a deep breath as a reply. He shut the door behind him and face front to see Shina already introducing herself…
…in an opposite way of Takeda’s reminder.
“I’m Ronin. You all know who am I or what I’m capable of doing” Red Ronin draw her sword once more as a threat to all of her classmates. “So, the biggest mistake you’ll do is to mess with me” Shina smirked after seeing the frightened faces of the students of 1-3. “Let’s get along this year”
…
“Whaa?! Noya-san’s goddess is your classmate?!” exclaimed Hinata, pairing up with a jaw drop and widened shocked eyes that Kageyama found irritating enough to shove his hand at the ginger’s face.
“Idiot, you don’t need to shout it out!”
Hinata managed to escape Kageyama’s block and stepped away but continued to blabber. “But does Noya-san know already?”
“Who the hell cares?”
…
“Huwah! Goddess!” after Shina heard a loud voice calling out her name, she quickly recognize the voice that almost irked her eardrums. It’s the loud shortie. The swordswoman continued walking through the hallways as lunch hour progressed. She didn’t want to spend her hour with a noisy guy like Nishinoya. “I-I mean Ronin-san!” the libero ran after the Ronin as she turned to a corner with a hopes of losing him as he shouted her name.
She felt another presence aside Nishinoya’s and decided to walk faster. Who’s following us? The swordswoman thought to herself and glance over her shoulder. She saw a silhouette of a girl, hiding behind the corner of the wall, holding a pen and a pad in her hands.
“This girl…” Shina cussed and quickly grabbed Nishinoya with her, dragging him inside the supply closet letting the stranger pass by the location, revealing the identity of their stalker.
“Chiasa?” Nishinoya blurt out a name that caught Shina’s attention. He later noticed the narrow space he was in with his so called goddess. As usual, he blushed to death like a girl and hid his face from his crush. Go-Goddess is here with me inside a supply closet! She’s… she’s…
“Hey, do you know that person?” Shina calmly asked Nishinoya, peeking outside through the lines spaces on the closet door. “She’s been following me since the start of lunch hour”
“Chiasa? She’s my classmate” Nishinoya answered looking outside with Shina. They faces were so close just at the side that Shina decided to exit the short spaced room as she felt suffocated just by staying there with him. “Wa-Wait! Ronin-san! Do-Don’t mind Chiasa! She’s just weird!” Nishinoya had to chase after her again and explained how her classmate can be weird sometimes.
“She’s annoying as hell” commented Ronin about the second year.
“Do-Don’t be like that! She’s actually pretty nice. The only reason she’s following you is probably because she wants to know you better” Nishinoya pointed out. He then noticed the gym bag Shina was carrying the whole time he saw her walk alone. “Are you going to have gym class after?” he asked.
Shina looked at her bag then back at him. “Isn’t it obvious?” with that remark, Nishinoya’s shoulders rose of uneasiness again and blushed in embarrassment. “Takeda-sensei brought this to me just as lunch began. He puts too much effort in helping me…”
Take-chan is helping out the goddess! I should do the same!
“I-I’ll walk you to the gym since you’re new here...!” offered the short player and even took Shina’s gym bag for her. “I’ll carry this for you too!”
“Hey…” even before Shina could protest, Nishinoya already ran away, leaving her behind when he just told her that he’ll show where the gym is. Good thing a certain brunette passed by that seemed to recognize her and asked if she got lost in the school again. “I’m new here” rolled Shina’s eyes, stating the obvious.
“I supposed you’re going to temporarily take me as a hostage to show you your destination” assumed the Pink Megane that Shina always call her.
“The shrimp left me again, and even took my gym bag with him” the Ronin shrugged casually as the two made their way to the gym. Shina took her bag from Nishinoya before going to the locker rooms to change which was shown by her classmate.
Nishinoya stayed to watch for a while together with Pink Megane.
Their sport for the semester was volleyball that boiled up Kageyama’s blood. Their PE teacher had assigned groups for them for game exercises.
Oddly, Shina was thrown in the last group since she was a transferee. And it happened to be Kageyama’s team that she was put in. He frowned upon knowing that he’ll have to deal and work with the swordswoman who threatened their life once, and obviously, through the whole first set, didn’t gave her the chance to play in the game.
Their sensei did, however, noticed this and told Kageyama to let Shina at least learn the basics of the sport. Shina knew nothing of it, and she mentally cursed her teacher of coming up with the idea that she wants to learn damn volleyball.
She did play, though, it was clear to them that she was messing up on purpose.
Maybe she did that so that Kageyama and their teacher would sub her out? Kageyama wanted to but their teacher told her to play serious or he’ll fail her.
Of course she didn’t give a damn about her grade, she did remember the promise she told her mother the morning she left her house. I’ll try to live for you.
Shina was moved to the front gear, where she was sided with Kageyama. The raven haired boy didn’t like the idea of their positions right now. It was volleyball for Pete’s sake, even it’s just a simple game exercise in their physical education class, it was still the sport he loved and won’t let amateurs such as his classmate beat him to it.
“Hey, try tossing it to me…” requested the Ronin out of the blue. Kageyama had that ‘Are-you-kidding-me?’ look that didn’t seem to affect Shina’s mental calmness. The opponent’s side served as the ball was saved by one of their teammates.
Shina nodded at Kageyama’s direction. He had no choice but to toss to Shina since the player to his right sucked big time.
As those crimson eyes stayed glued at the ball, the swordswoman’s arm swung up and the collision of her palm with the ball made a loud thud of impact when the ball was smashed on the ground.
Both dark eyes of Kageyama’s widened and even Nishinoya’s amber ones; both of their mouths were gaped. The brunette, who was with Shina a while ago, had her eyes almost balling out as well.
And that’s when they realized, how accurate Shina’s strength is when it comes to smashing.
Alooooo :D Another update here >w< Yay Shina finally decided what's best for her! :) But how will it turn out though? Hehe, you'll know in the future~ Let's read this for now~ Tell me what you think below!
