Corn Maze

October poetry camp poem number two! I hope you enjoy... bon appetite?

Everyone grab your flags,
On great big rods,
They're made of rags,
Remember to travel in pods.

Past the scarecrows,
With their hair of hay,
And their pumpkin nose,
Off into the maze, hip hip hooray!

After a few turns left,
And a couple rights,
One of your pals has become a corn theft
But you're lost now, with no flashlights.

Lost in the maze,
You decide to just wait
For a group who'll go out of their ways
To lead you to the exit gate.

For what seems like hours you sit,
Terribly hungry and cold.
Your friends are about to have a fit,
This is really getting old.

Then through the corn,
Comes a member of the staff,
Your family won't have to mourn
Your death, instead they'll all laugh.

A story to chuckle at,
This will be,
About how you sat,
Lost in a corn maze, you see.
