Chapter 3 ~ I Don't Even Know Why

____________________

His intimidating aura never let up,as he looked your way. On the inside, his heart slightly jumped and he was questioned your reasoning for attempting to converse with a tired soul like him. Although, he wasn't sure if it was the magnificent (e/c) of her eyes or the fact that she actually extended a branch out to him,but he started to feel something strange stir up inside of him. He wasn't quite sure if he liked it or not either.

Your mind swarmed with question. You had to admit, this man was rather handsome. That was a simple fact. The way the pale moon highlighted his strong features, made you very attracted to him. Not to mention the quality punk garbed body of his, was kinda adorably....short.

You figured nothing bad could come from it, so you made possibly the worst decision of your life, you walked closer to him.

"Hi, I'm (Y/n)."

Levi looked on in slight admiration,as he saw your icy breath move in tiny clouds of your essence around. He honestly hung on your every syllable.

"Tch. Levi."

At this, you quirked up a defined eyebrow.

"Well, arn't you quite the talker?"

His heart felt a small jab at the sarcastic comment. His mind irrationally told him this was already speeding downwards.

"I don't say much."

The (h/c)ed beauty just slightly shook her head.

"Your not a man of little words, just a man of the right ones."

Levi looked on in slight shock. This lovely soul surly didn't know what trap she was setting up for herself.

Oh, she didn't know at all. But ignorance is bliss. Maybe she could pry darkness's grip off of the poor man.

"You don't know me."

His pissy tone matched his features. He wasn't wanting to be that way,but his default response was to be offended or angry. Sometimes both.

You were irked on the inside, but concealing emotions was just routine for you.

"Maybe not,but that doesn't mean I don't know what kind of person you are."

At this, Levi let out a quite noticeable scuff.

"You're an asshole,"

You laughter pierced the chilly air with daggers of warm breath.

"So I've been told."

He was starting to become very skeptic. He wasn't quite sure if he liked her or not anymore. She did have this thing about her that could make anyone swoon. Then again there was also this thing about (Y/n) that made him want to turn and never look back. But what he wasn't aware of, is that the world has a funny way of doing things, and that's just not how it goes.

"I can't imagine why."

You surly knew how to get under people's skin, and Levi's comment just showcased that talent.

You were now kind of worried about the situation. You now became very interested in his reasons for being outside in this time of relentless night.

"So, what brings you here."

Levi was quick to look into your eyes and look agitated.

"I could say the same for you."

You thought quickly. You didn't want to seem defenseless. Then again, you guessed that ship has sailed.

"Going home from work. And you?"

The pale man let out yet another scuff. You determined this man just was very unimpressed with everything. What a pity.

"Where in the hell do you work? A for a damn slave owner? Your hours sound ludicrous!"

You just lightly chuckled at the bold statement.

"While my hours are quite insane, you never explained yourself, Mr. Levi."

Levi's gray eyes fixed themselves on the ground as he walked adjacent to your own being. He was trying to think of a way not to scare you off. This was the longest he had conversed with another in a while. Usually, days consisted of him having conversations with himself. He figured no one knew him better than himself.

"Just wanted to go out for a walk. I guess to clear my head."

You nodded in understanding, but the police part of you couldn't help but think there was more to it than that. Something wasn't right, but you guessed that was just you being paranoid.

Suddenly, Levi stopped walking.

You immediately stopped and got ready to retract your weapon. Then it dawned on you, you left it in your desk.

'Shit.'

"Hey, (Y/n), are you headed off to anywhere?"

You shrugged. You didn't really know if you liked where this was going, but you decided that you never do anything other than work. It was true. You were a beautiful, young lady, but you worked so much. I mean, your last date was with this nice boy, Eren, in high school.

"No, I suppose not."

Levi almost let a smirk creep up on his lips. Almost.

"Do you wanna go for a walk in the park?"

You really thought about this. Well, if anything went wrong, you guess you could take him.

"Sure."
