Prologue

Pulverised

"and then we were broken"

0.0 Prologue

She wore her wedding gown with her back against the crowd

she turned to the side and faintly smiled at her children of three

her oldest son sat delicately, his bow tie sitting straight, his suit

new and crisp. A ghost of a smile radiating his lips.

Her daughter, the youngest of her children sat in the middle, her

dress adorned in lace, a lily in her hair whilst she held hands with

her two brothers. Her other son sat on the right, fidgeting with the

bow tie strapped to his neck. He caught his mother's eye for a split

second, and removed his hand sending her a cheeky smile and

bowing his head.

She turned back to her husband to be and watched him as he

intwined their hands together and grinned before their audience

the vicar started his speech, the quiet murmurs within the crowd

dying down.

She listened to the quiet of the room, his breath fanning her face

as he spoke his vows loud and clear.

"And now you, Olivia"

She couldn't help notice her hands quiver in his as she thought

about why she was doing this. She looked out across the room

of all the guests she and her sister had picked out.

Family members sat in their seats, looking ahead at the couple

stood before them. She could see her mother in the front row

along with her sister and she stared at them swallowing the

lump in her throat.

"Olivia?"

She jumped slightly and blushed noticing how everyone stared

back at her nervously asking the silent question would she go

through with it?

She looked back over to her children, taking in their happy and

carefree expressions as they took in the scene before them

how she remembered saying to them a few months ago

that once the wedding was over they could go back to being a

happy family.

She took a deep breath and smiled at them before turning to

the vicar and nodding her head.

And then they were one. A married couple walking side by side

their children in front as their guests threw colourful paper

over their heads.

Outside in the street, she couldn't help but wonder if this

would be how it would always be. Her hand in his, their

children glowing. Their love flowing and oozing from the

seems.

And as they stood outside taking photos, taking in the

happy atmosphere she knew that deep down being

happy together would come naturally after all.

_______________________________

hello, all. i've been working on this for quite some time now and this book means a lot to me, more than all my other pieces combined do. This book is a collection of memories and if you know me well I don't exactly remember many things. This book will be retold through somebody who was always very special to me, and that is my mother. I do not talk about her much, and if you always wanted to know more about her, then this is the place to stay. I hope you enjoy reading through these as much as I've enjoyed putting this together. It's been a blast through the past.

However this story will have some depressing themes within it, such as abuse, neglect, self harm and death. If you think it will be triggering for you, then I suggest you do not read it. Thank you
