I stared up at the blue sky and truly knew what it was like to just be lost in paradise with the one you loved. Sadly we would be leaving paradise within the next 24 hours to go back to our regular lives of travelling around the world. I mean we had one of the best jobs in the world, tiring, but still the best. However, it was nice to just spend a week away without thinking about having to catch a flight, meetings or appearances.

There was nothing like just spending endless days in bed with my wolf and just enjoying each other. It felt like I was purely consumed by my big bad wolf and I honestly wouldn't want it any other way. Waking up to the beautiful sounds of the ocean outside our room and feeling him kissing all over my skin, it was truly heaven on earth.

"I don't want to fucking leave" Baron's frustrated groaning filled my ears and caused my eyes to leave the blue sky. I knew how he felt as we had practically just gotten here, been greeted by locals and lei'd.

"Neither do I" I mumbled into his chest as we were currently on a surfboard in the middle of the ocean.

The sun was being a bitch but I didn't want to leave, go back to our rooms and have to begin the journey of packing all of our things up. His fingers traced over my back and I wrapped my arms around my wolf.

That was the side effect of doing what we did but a week in Hawaii was better than nothing. One day we would be able to come back, maybe we could even just retire and just live by the beach.

"So I have a confession" I whispered since we would be returning to work for the Hell in a Cell PPV where he would be going up against AJ Styles and Tye Dillinger for the US Championship.

"About?"

I sighed as I didn't really want to bring it up but it was the only thing left weighing heavily over my conscience. I loved being honest with Baron because I realized that it helped make him feel more secure in our relationship.

"Well turns out Joe interfered with your title shot against Jon at Mania. They were leaning towards you stealing a victory but he strongly suggested against it. I'm sorry I didn't tell you when I found out, I just.. We were so up and down and I honestly didn't want to give you a reason to either attack him or maybe be resentful towards me for it"

He stared at me trying to process my rambling I guess before he shrugged, "I don't care Renee, I told you on our wedding night. You're all that matters to me, and that night it wasn't about the title it was about being a winner in your eyes and I realized I always am. Whether I'm screwing up opportunities, being sabotaged. Its all up to them, they control it all and it doesn't matter how much work I put in if they don't feel it, its not happening. They control Baron Corbin and they get to do with him what they want. So I have learnt, especially in the last couple of months, to be happy if shit goes my way and if it doesn't. Cause you're mine and that's all that matters."

I couldn't help the small smile that spread across my face whenever he said sweet little things. He said them more often than he used to and I loved it because to me it wasn't just him being sweet. I saw it as him being vulnerable enough to show his softer side and I loved my soft wolf a lot too. "I know. I'm just afraid that something will go wrong tomorrow when I know you're looking forward to walking out with that title."

"It is what it is, honey" He leaned forward and spoke into my forehead and I closed my eyes savouring it.

"Who would have thought I would have you so whipped" I teased and he moved back his eyes gazing over my body. He had decided to take a stroll on the beach by himself and when I walked down to join him in my red bikini let's just say we almost didn't make it out to sea.

"I ain't fucking whipped" he chuckled before licking over his lips and pulling my legs over his. "You're the one who likes to be spanked"

"Shut up!" I laughed out but briefly kissed him. Or that's what I intended but he trapped me with his tongue and lengthened it. His fingers dug into my thighs before moving to my behind and squeezing it. He slowly broke the kiss and kissed my shoulder, "Come on, get us back to shore"

"You're turned on, aren't you?" He smirked almost too proudly.

I rolled my eyes but couldn't deny that fact, "I'm always turned on by you, just needed to give you time to recuperate"

He laughed out, "Me? I'm always ready, little wolf"

"You're lucky I have my cheerleader here otherwise I wouldn't be so civil" Baron commented and I rolled my eyes as I was seated in the corner of the room going over some things for the kickoff. We had headed to the arena as soon as we landed and with some time to kill.

Baron or should I say Off With Your Head was currently engaged in battle for an episode of UpUpdwndwn something he had gotten dragged into recently. I was always amused by it when he got into his zone but I was happy he was just allowing himself to let go more and more at work, even if it was just with a few guys.

"Oh don't be an angel on my account. Howl those profanities like the wolf that you are" I screamed out which caused Tyler to chuckle.

"Its not like I haven't heard it being screamed out before. You know I never got a thank you for not telling anyone you were sleeping together" He shook his head while I glared his way.

"Shut up." Baron sighed. "Honestly you were the biggest annoyance whenever we stayed in hotels"

"What? He miss you so much he kept knocking down your door?" Xavier questioned my wolf who was focused on the screen.

"No, he kept stealing my handcuffs that I needed for my costume or tapings" Tyler spoke before Baron could.

I giggled which caused Baron to laugh, "I honestly keep telling him we need to return it whenever I see it hanging on our bed post"

"No thanks, I no longer want it" He shivered but then smiled.

"Okay I'm going to leave you guys before I get blamed for my husband losing another game."

"You are my biggest distraction, honey" he shrugged briefly looking at me and I placed a kiss on his cheek.

"But your biggest good luck charm in the ring right?"

"Of course, Blondie" he called out as I left. I smiled to myself as I honestly hoped nothing would take us from the newly wed high because I was floating on air.

"Hey married woman! I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the wedding. I mean if I had known it was I would have tried harder to get there" AJ smiled as he pulled me in for a hug.

"Ah I'm glowing, aren't I? Its alright, we missed half of our own party to be honest. We actually just got back from our honeymoon a couple hours ago." I couldn't help ridiculously gushing about it but when you were happily married to the man who made you smile, what could you do.

"The life we live huh. But I'm happy to see you so happy and actually happy." He smiled.

"What can I say? Life is pretty perfect. We have an amazing house with two dogs and I am a Mrs. Adding onto the list a title would be great" I hinted to hear how he would react to that.

"If you're trying to find out if your man gets my title you know I'm sworn to secrecy"

"I do." I sighed but I had a good feeling because Baron usually let me know when he was going to be losing. And he hadn't done so at all but either way I would be greeting him with a big hug and kiss afterwards.

I scrolled through my feed as I had a half hour to go for my match and finding Renee would be a hassle. PPVs were the worst, she could literally be doing anything around here. Before the show it would be the kick-off and after she would be doing random things. I guess it was good because it helped me be professional at work and get into the head space for my match.

It was an important match tonight, I would be getting a title opportunity against AJ Styles. He was an okay guy, liked to fuck with me about Renee and not in a bad way. He just liked teasing me about her or whenever she was around.

I frowned as I saw Renee had posted on Instagram about me.

"Say hello to Mrs Pestock. Goodluck to my husband tonight! @baroncorbinwwe"

I was so used to being tagged in posts I hadn't bothered checking my notifications. I smiled like an idiot as she had finally shared it to the world and it made me hope even more that tonight was the night I would become champion.

My phone lighting up caused me to stop thinking about the outcomes. I mean I sort of knew but Vince was a bipolar man so I wasn't going to be fixing my mind on anything.

"Hey married man!" I heard Jon and rolled my eyes as I had made the mistake of giving my number to him in case of an emergency.

"What do you want?" I groaned as this wasn't the first phone call since we had been on honeymoon.

"Is that how you treat the guy who is spending his off days at your house to look after your two dogs" he screamed into my ear.

"In my defense I didn't ask you to house sit, my wife did" I narrowed my eyes even though the lunatic couldn't see. "If there isn't a good reason for this phone call I will be hanging up"

"Hey just thought I'd send some luck your way"

"Thanks" I sighed and heard Nikki's voice in the background doing the same.

"You guys are weird. I have to go" I hung up, not really interested in speaking to them more than I needed to.

I made my way to gorilla throwing punches in the air to warm up some more and as I approached I smiled as I saw Renee skipping her way towards me having spotted me first.

Her arms wrapped around me and I wrapped my arm over her shoulders while she stared up at me. "I've been waiting here for like ten minutes. I wasn't sure where you were so I figured waiting here was my safest bet"

"I came to terms with the fact that I wouldn't be seeing you before I went out there"

"I'm a married woman. I need to see my wolf off" She glared before smiling.

"Before you do. Just know you owe me a good night either way cause I had to deal with phone calls from your friends" I complained.

"Its okay to admit they're yours too, wolf" She smirked and pushed her body against mine.

I rolled my eyes, "that will never happen."

"Oh whatever. Anyway, lift me up so we can make out real quick"

I chuckled but lift her up against me anyway and she didn't kiss me immediately but neatened my stubble I guess. I frowned as I took in the look in her eyes, "are you nervous for me?"

"I'm always nervous when you go out there. And in no way because I doubt your ability to kick ass, Corbin."

I smiled a bit as I knew how much she enjoyed watching me do so, "I know. I get nervous too."

"Mmm you do?"

"Wanna make sure I turn my wife on, get my little wolf excited" I smirked but glanced away as her eyes briefly met mine.

"Your wife huh?" She whispered against my cheek and I groaned. "You can't go exploding now, wolf"

I chuckled but gave her a quick kiss knowing I couldn't stay longer even though I wanted to, "I have to go, Renee"

She smiled before kissing me again and wiping my mouth afterwards, "I love you."

"Love you too, honey" I ruffled her hair before moving on.

"You're going to pay for that later!" I heard her but didn't bother glancing back or I wouldn't make it to my match.

"Looking forward to it, Blondie!"

I stood in the ring as they announced my name and could care less that there were overwhelming boos for me while Tye and AJ got a good crowd. Yes I was trying to be a better person but the masses didn't matter to me, as long as the woman standing backstage was on my side I was happy being the lone wolf and being hated by them.

As soon as the bell rang and I got ready to fight the two idiots turned their attention onto me so I rolled out instead. But they followed so I went back into the ring and of course they double teamed me before tossing me out. I heard Corey arguing on commentary on how unfair it was and chuckled to myself before getting up to join in on the match again.

I was currently in the lead and it felt good being the one in control as I had tossed each of them into their own corner. I ran back and forth to deliver closelines to the two, however that was shortlived as well. The rest of the match was pretty back and forth but of course I found myself back outside the ring looking at the two of them going at it again.

I watched and waited to see where things would go since there was no point in signing myself up voluntarily to be double teamed. AJ delivered the Phenomenal Forearm and went for the cover but as soon as he did I slid in and kicked him out of the ring.

1...2...3...

I rolled out and held the championship up high before slowly making my way to back and felt the pain in my ribs courtesy of all the beatings.

"Congratulations on your first title, Corbin" Shane smiled as I walked backstage and I shook his hand but couldn't wait to get to my little wolf.

I stepped off gorilla and before I could even glance up from my title her body was on mine and I laughed but pulled her closer. "You're always complaining about my sweat and now look at you"

"My wolf is champion!" She squealed shaking my shoulders before wrapping her arms around me again and I smiled.

"My first lady" I smirked.

She giggled and kissed me a few times before staring into my eyes and I had never seen anyone more proud of me, "Your first lady"

I just wanted to squeeze in his first title victory but after this comes the EPILOGUE and THANK CHAPTER then we will officially be seeing the end of Baron Corbin and Renee's love story 😭😭
