Landing
Space. I guess they aren't a bad friend. I've been broken for so long I don't actually remember what I look like. I've just been floating through space, waiting for inevitable impact with something or someone. The stars glitter in the endless void and I could see Mars now.
Hyperion City glittered on the surface of Mars, near Opportunity Bay. They did name the bay after the Mars rover the humans sent up that died on Mars. It was kinda sweet of them. I would love to visit Opportunity Bay. It's a landing and departing dock for ships that travel between planets and I hear it has top of the line food served there.
I could see the Moon, or Luna as the rest of space calls her. She was a beautiful and pale little protector of her Earth. She has "the Slums" on her, a little refugee camp with a big business of fixing ships on her.
I was suddenly very aware of how fast I had begun to move and I became very very hot.
I started praying to Space Themself for a safe landing that wouldn't absolutely destroy me.
I landed on something soft and I heard a noise of pain.
"Ouch. Who threw this?!" The voice shouted before going silent. "Oh dear...where did you come from?"
I wished I could answer as a large red scaly hand picked me up. I could see a dragon face with little gold glasses perched on its nose and black scales in concentrated spots like freckles.
"Huh. I think I can fix you. It shouldn't be too hard."
