Third Person POV

'Oh no, I forgot I had to tutor someone after school' (F/N) thought as she ran down the hallway. 'Why did sensei have to ask me?! Now the manger is going to kill me.' She slides open the door, slamming it and shouts "I'm so sorry I'm late,*pants* I forgot about the tutoring *pants*" while bowing her head.

"it's fine, I just got here myself" a soft male voice said. He had dye blond hair with black roots growing out, cat-like eyes an a gym bag with him. He was seated in the second row by the window.

(F/N) does a nervous laugh and walks over to where the blond is seated. "I'm (L/N) (F/N) from class 1, it's nice to meet you" she said with a sweet smile .

"I know, sensei told me"

"Ummm would you mind telling me your name, sensei didn't tell me anything other than to meet you here for tutoring"

"Kozume Kenma" the blond answered.

"Well Kozume-san, what do you need help with?" (F/N) asked.

"English and math." Kenma grabs his English and math notes/homework and put them on the desk. (F/N) pulls a chair from another desk and seats across from Kenma.

"Which one do you want to work one first?"

"Can we do English? I don't really understand anything"

"Sure! I love English"

Your POV

I help Kozume-san with his reading (translation) and writing. He's not really much of a talker but his hand writing is nice, his fingers are really long and slim too, I wonder if he plays piano? "Ummm, (L/N)-san, can you stop staring, it's weird and making me uncomfortable"

"Oh! I'm sorry Kozume-san" I look out the window to my right, the light of the sun setting is a really pretty orange, but I have to say sunsets look better in the country side, like Miyagi. I wonder when we'll go back and visit-

"(L/N)-san" Kozume-san said, pulling me out from my thoughts

"Oh I'm sorry, I guess I zoned out there for a moment" I did a nervous laugh, "what do you need?" I asked politely

"Umm this one here" he points to the one he's stuck on. I then explained it and he seem to understood really fast. I lean back in my chair and look up and the ceiling, my eyes then trailed down and over to the window again. I sigh 'Captain's girlfriend/our manger is going to kill me' I sit normally again but caused my eraser to fall to the ground. I quickly lean over to grab it, it landed near Kozume-san's gym bag and it was open. I don't know why but my eyes looked inside.

I see tennis shoes (Quick Question what do you guys call sport shoes? I just call them tennis shoes. But I feel like in this story I should call them volleyball shoes cause they're used for volleyball what do you think?) in the bag along with a sports uniform. I also see a PSP? It looks like mine but blue. I wonder is he games as much as I do... haha doubt it, I'll ask what kind of games he likes. (I just realized how creep reader-chan looks when she's snooping in Kenma's gym bag. Like honestly WHO LOOKS IN TO SOMEONE ELSES BAG LIKE THAT?!? Thats weird 😐😐)

After I get my eraser, I sit up straight and see what else Kozume-san needs help with.

Kenma's POV

I want to finish up and leave, I told Sensei I didn't need a tutor but she just had to give me one. I'm not good with people, besides the team, and I don't even talk to half of them.

I finally finish English, that didn't take very long, volleyball is still going on. Kuroo's going to be pissed if I miss the whole day. "Ummm (L/N)-san, can we finish up tomorrow or some other time?" This is the most talking I've ever done to a complete stranger.

"That's fine, let's exchange numbers/emails, you can contact me if you have and questions" I nod my head. I don't have a lot of people's contact, only the Volleyball team and my family's. We switched phones and entered our number/email. I expect her to leave right after but she stayed. She just looks at me as I pack up my stuff. 'This girl is weird, first she stares at my hands as I wrote now she's just watching me pack' I want to say something but she beats me to it "Umm d-do you play video games, Kozume-san?"

Ok so this is before Kenma meets Hinata and the rest of Karasuno, before the training camp and the first match they have together. Like I said in the description I'm trying to follow the Haikyuu anime timeline, with some of my stuff thrown in.
