WELCOME TO THE PUB-VERSE

I hope everyone has had an amazing summer!! I realize that it is coming to an end and kids, (young and old) are getting ready to head back to school, but I wanted to bring one of our collections to your attention for any of you that do not know about it.

We have a Summer Memories Collection and I thought it would be a good time to send a submission if any of you are interested.  This week's Featured poem and Poetic History will give you a taste of what this lovely collection has contained within.

As mentioned above this week's Featured Poem comes from our "Summer Memories Collection".  This is a this beautiful and heartfelt poem, paints a beautiful picture of summer love, I hope you enjoy it!

Summer Songs

Oh how those summer storms soothed our worried minds
When the winter chill made us feel so left behind
Those diamonds falling from cotton clouds
Dispersing stormy thoughts from their dim crowd
That pitter patter soothed my darling and her weary eyes
With that summer storm we can make it to the sunrise

Oh how those flowers flourished and beckoned
My eyes in each warm, friendly second
As summer so held us in its amiable heat
Giving us peaceful meadows to claim a seat
And painting that smile across my love's face
We stopped the clocks, and made our own pace

Oh how those summer days ran so long
Oh how i will miss those summer songs
That light breeze soothing my weary heart
When my love and i are held apart
I can close my eyes in this manic monsoon
For there will be another summer, so soon

I miss you the way you heat my skin
With your kisses and caresses
I feel my face flush
the sweat slowly slide down the length of me
In the cold, of the chill of a long winter's night
Summer where have gone?

For anyone going back to school (student or teacher) we want to wish you well and hope that you have a fantastic school year!! Knowledge is the key to critical thinking and good decision making; the more we know the better our decisions will be.  I hope everyone has a fantastic week!!
