Pentatonix (Also known as PTX) is an American a cappella group from Arlington, Texas, consisting of vocalists Scott Hoying (baritone), Mitch Grassi (tenor), Kirstin Maldonado (mezzo-soprano), Kevin Olusola (vocal percussion), and Matt Sallee (bass) and formally Avi Kaplan (bass)

Pentatonix formed in 2011 with Scott, Mitch, Kirstie and then adding Avi and Kevin before starting the Sing-Off! Pentatonix subsequently won the third season of NBC's The Sing-Off and won a prize of $200,000 and a recording contract with Sony Music. When Sony's Epic Records dropped the group after The Sing-Off, the group formed it's YouTube channel before being signed with Sony Pictures-owned label Madison Gate Records!

The name Pentatonix, as suggested by Scott Hoying, is named after the pentatonic scale, a musical scale or mode with five notes per octave, representing the five members of the group. They replaced the last letter with an "X" to make it more appealing.

Pentatonix has won three Grammy awards, one Streamy award, two YouTube Music Awards and one Shorty Award!

Pentatonix has released seven albums with one more coming out this upcoming February (The Lucky Ones). Pentatonix has also been on over ten tours, many of them being sold out!

Between the five current members - Mitch Grassi-Hoying, Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado-Rogers Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee and the one former member Avi Kaplan, they have FORTY healthy and happy children that have mostly been out of the lime light and living private lives.

All of the families post videos and pictures of their families online so the fans can see what their children are up too!

Now let's meet the Pentatonix kids and learn more about them!

- Mitch and Scott's children -

Mitch and Scott met at around eight years old at a local community center where they did plays and musicals together! Mitch and Scott then went to high school together and formed a band with their best friend Kirstie! After high school, Mitch, Scott and Kirstie formed Pentatonix with Avi and Kevin! Mitch and Scott got married right after Peantonix won the Sing-Off and started their own family a few years later. Mitch and Scott are the only members of Pentatonix that are together and married.

Mitch and Scott have eight children together - four boys and four girls, ranging in age from fourteen and a half to three months old.

• Liam Richard Grassi-Hoying, age 14
Born on April 14th, Liam is the first son and oldest child of Mitch and Scott's, as well as the oldest of the Pentatonix children.

Liam went on three tours with Pentaonix and watched his Dad and Papa perform on stage in front of millions of people! Liam often made many appearances onstage as well, dancing and singing with his parents. Out of all of the Pentatonix children, Liam is the least interested in singing, however he does make appearances in Pentatonix Kid's sing alongs as well as Pentatonix and Superfruit family vlogs.

Liam is currently a freshman in high school and he thinks he will join the Navy like many members of Papa's side of the family. Liam really loves to play and watch many sports. He plays for his high school's JV soccer, JV lacrosse and varsity flag football teams! Liam also has a girlfriend named Willow, who he has been with since preschool.

• Hudson Michael Grassi-Hoying, 11
Born June 7th, Hudson is the second oldest and second son of Mitch and Scott's children. Hudson is three years younger than Liam.

Hudson went on two tours with Pentatonix and was spoiled rotten by fans when he made his public debut at just a month old. Hudson was a baby on both tours, so he didn't go onstage as much as his older brother Liam did. Hudson absolutely loves to perform! Hudson is often shown in Pentatonix Kids videos, singing songs, talking and also Pentatonix and Superfruit family vlogs.

Hudson is currently a sixth grader and he wants to become an activist when he grows up. Hudson is a cheerleader often cheering on the middle school teams! Hudson is also a theater kid just like his parents were at his age. Hudson came out as gay a few years ago with much ease. He has a boyfriend named Addison who he has been with since third grade.

• Sophia Noelle Grassi-Hoying, 9
Born December 12th, Sophia is the third child and first daughter of Mitch and Scott's children. Sophia is two years younger than Hudson.

Sophia was born two months after another Pentatonix tour and born a few weeks before Christmas. After Sophia, none of the Grassi-Hoying children have went touring due to the dates interfering with school. Mitch and Scott had their family Christmas pictures that year taken when Sophia was just three days old because they wanted her included in them. Sophia loves to appear on camera and is often shown in Pentatonix Kids videos as well as Pentaonix and Superfruit vlogs!

Sophia is currently a fourth grader and she wants to become either a performer, a photographer or an announcer for gymnastics when she grows up! However, she said that could be changed! Sophia loves ballet, gymnastics as well as theater! Sophia has played several top roles in a few of her elementary school plays. Sophia has a boyfriend named Beckett and they have started to date this school year.

• Isabella Hope Grassi-Hoying, 7
Born July 25th, Isabella is the fourth child and second daughter of Mitch and Scott's children. Isabella is nineteen months younger than Sophia.

Isabella was born a day after Mitch's birthday. Originally, Mitch wanted to share his birthday with his second daughter, but his birthday was booked full so he chose the next day. So every year, Mitch and Isabella celebrate their birthdays together since they are twenty four hours apart.

Isabella is currently a second grader and she wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up! Isabella did do ballet for a few years before turning to gymnastics and swimming. Isabella also loves to play the guitar! Isabella came out as gay when she was four years old and she has a best friend named Rosalina.

• Sawyer Coby Grassi-Hoying, 6
Born October 2nd, Sawyer is the fifth child and third son of Mitch and Scott's children. Sawyer is two years younger than Isabella.

Mitch didn't even know he was pregnant with Sawyer until he was thirteen weeks along! Sawyer was a surprise alongside his three younger siblings - Amelia, Joel and Gabriella.

Sawyer is currently a first grader and he wants to be a race car driver. Sawyer loves riding his bike, playing with his cars, making a mess and playing t-ball and soccer! Sawyer can't wait to play baseball when he gets old enough. Sawyer also says he wants a girlfriend but Mitch and Scott told him not yet.

• Amelia Faith Grassi-Hoying, 4
Born February 14th, Amelia is the sixth child and third daughter of Mitch and Scott's children. Amelia is sixteen months younger than Sawyer.

Born on Valentine's Day, Amelia was born three weeks early but she was born healthy and happy!

Amelia so currently a pre-kindergartner and she wants to be a princess when she grows up! Amelia also wants to be a singer like her a Daddy and Papa!

• Joel Anthony Grassi-Hoying, 16 months
Born August 16th, Joel is the seventh child and fourth son of Mitch and Scott's children. Joel is three years younger than Amelia.

Joel was born a month early due to Mitch having cholestasis of pregnancy. Luckily, Joel was born healthy and happy and Mitch quickly recovered.

Joel is currently a busy toddler, loving playing with his toys and spending time with his Daddy, Papa, pets and siblings!

• Gabriella Rose Grassi-Hoying, 3 months
Born September 17th, Gabriella is the eighth and final child as well as the fourth daughter of Mitch and Scott's children. Gabriella is thirteen months younger than Joel.

Gabriella shares her birthday with Scott, a surprise Mitch gave to him on Father's Day.

Gabriella mostly spends her days eating, sleeping, cuddling with Mitch or Scott, doing tummy time or playing with small toys!

- Kirstie's children -

Kirstie and Jeremy met right after Pentatonix won the Sing-Off and started their family! They had three biological children - two daughters and a son as well as adopting twin boys.

Kirstie and Jeremy divorced after seven years of marriage. A year later, Kristie met Blaine Rogers at the park and the rest of history! Kirstie and Blaine married a year later and recently had a son! Blaine has a daughter from his previous marriage. Kirstie and Blaine are also currently fostering Madison's younger half brother Everest.

Kirstie and Blaine have eight children together in their blended family - four boys and four girls, ranging in age from nine and a half to seven months old.

• Jude Taylor Lewis, 9
Born January 7th, Jude is the first son and oldest child of Kirstie and Jeremy's children. Jude is Jett's fraternal twin and is older by two minutes. Jude and Jett were adopted by Kirstie and Jeremy when they were six and a half years old. They were in foster care for three years. Jude has PTSD from trauma he experienced prior to being adopted as well as ADHD.

Jude and Jett alongside their two younger siblings at the time Reed and Harper went to a few tour stops to see their mom perform! Jude thinks it is really cool that his mom is in a famous band!

Jude is currently a fourth grader and he wants to be a pro athlete someday! Jude loves and is obsessed with playing baseball! Jude also loves riding his BMX bike in races! Jude has a girlfriend named Sailor and they have been besties since first grade! Jude hates that they aren't in the same class together but they talk a lot on the phone!

• Jett Michael Lewis, 9
Born January 7th, Jett is the second son and second eldest child of Kirstie and Jeremy's children. Jett is Jude's fraternal twin and is younger by two minutes. Jett and Jude were adopted by Kirstie and Jeremy when they were six and a half years old. They were in foster care for three years. Jett was born nearly deaf and got cochlear implants when he was almost two years old. Jett also has a small lisp and speech delay due to his near deafness.

Jett and Jude alongside their two younger siblings at the time Reed and Harper went to a few tour stops to see their mom perform! Jett loves to watch kirstie perform and he loves that everybody knows his mom is "the girls singer" in Pentatonix.

Jett is currently a fourth grader and he wants to be a scientist! Jett loves baseball as well as soccer! Jett also has a girlfriend named Cora! They have been best friends since second grade! Jett hates that they aren't in the same class but they talk a lot during recess and through online games!

• Madison Raine Rogers, 8
Born July 6th, Madison is the third child and the eldest girl in the Lewis-Rogers line up! Madison is Blaine's daughter from his previous marriage with ex wife Elise.

Madison has watched Kirstie perform a few times and she thinks Kirstie is the best singer ever (Don't tell her Pentatonix uncles that). Madison doesn't call Kirstie her stepmom but she calls her either "Mom Two" or "Ms Kirstie"

Madison is currently a third grader and she wants to become a teacher, preferably a preschool teacher when she grows up!

• Reed Matthew Lewis, 6
Born September 16th, Reed is the first born child and third son of Kirstie and Jeremy's children.

Reed went on one tour with Kirstie as a baby! Reed loves to dance to Kirstie's voice and still does to this day!

Reed is currently a first grader and he wants to be gamer or a sports announcer when he grows up! Reed loves playing baseball with his older big brothers as well as playing piano!

• Harper Elena Lewis, 4
Born March 4th, Harper is the second born child and first daughter of Kirstie and Jeremy's children. Harper is eighteen months younger than Reed.

Harper is currently a pre-kindergartner and she wants to be a ballet dancer when she grows up! Harper loves to dance and she also loves dressing up like a princess!

• Piper Celeste Lewis, 3
Born June 9th, Piper is the third born child and second daughter of Kirstie and Jeremy's children. Piper was almost a year old when her parents separated and divorced. Piper is fifteen months younger than Harper.

Piper is currently in preschool and she wants to be a superstar when she grows up! Piper loves to perform just about anything! Piper also loves to dance and play dress up just like her big sister Harper!

• Everest Kayden Wilks Rogers, 2
Born July 3rd, Everett is Elise's second and youngest child with her boyfriend who passed away when Everest was a year old. Everett and Madison are half siblings, having the same mother. Madison and Everest are six years apart in age.

Kirstie and Blaine are in the process to get permanent custody of Everest and have his last name changed. Everest's mom is still unable to take care of him for the time being, but she will still have her rights and will still be able to see him!

Everett wants to be a firefighter when he grows up because he wants to help people!

• Rhett James Rogers, 7 months
Born May 24th, Rhett is Kirstie's sixth child, fourth born child, Blaine's second child and the first child in Kirstie and Blaine's marriage. Rhett is two and a half years younger than Piper.

Rhett was a honeymoon baby which surprised Kirstie and Blaine because they didn't plan on having a baby so soon but they are very happy
to have Rhett!

Rhett has been busy being an active baby, eating baby foods, crawling around, playing, being a fun baby brother, an animal lover, being Kirstie's sidekick while making albums with Pentatonix and also being Blaine's assistant at work!

- Kevin's children -

Kevin and Tara met at a nightclub while Kevin was off tour and they instantly connected! Kevin and Tara married three years later!

Kevin and Tara have six children together - three biological and three adopted! Kevin and Tara have three sons and three girls, ranging in age from eleven and a half to seven months old.

• Hayden John Olusola, age 11
Born February 28th, Hayden is the first son and oldest child of Kevin and Tara. Hayden is Tara's son from a previous relationship. Kevin has raised Hayden since he was a baby and officially adopted Hayden when Hayden was four years old.

Hayden went on many tours and tour stops while he was younger with his mom to watch Kevin, his Pentatonix Uncles and Aunt perform! Hayden thinks having a famous parent is really interesting and

Hayden is currently a sixth grader and he wants to be in a band or work in the IT field. Hayden loves playing the piano and the cello! Hayden is in the middle school band and he also plays hockey!Hayden has a girlfriend named Esha and they have been dating since the end of fifth grade!

• Kaden Lewis Olusola, age 10
Born November 4th, Kaden is the second son and second oldest child of Kevin and Tara. Kaden was recently adopted when he was nine years old after being in foster care for five and a half years.

Kaden hasn't seen Kevin perform on stage live just yet due to the pandemic, however he has watched many performances online! Kaden can't wait to see Kevin, his Pentatonix aunt and uncles perform!

Kaden is currently a fifth grader and he wants to be a social worker when he grows up. Kaden loves to play sports! Kaden plays football, hockey and lacrosse. Kaden recently just started dating a girl named Daisy that he met this school year!

• Laila Michele Olusola, age 6
Born April 12th, Laila is the second born child and first daughter of Kevin and Tara's children.

Laila is a Daddy's girl and she absolutely loves and adores watching Kevin perform!

Laila is currently a first grader and she wants to be a gymnast just like her idol Simone Biles! Laila loves gymnastics, ballet and she is learning how to play soccer!

• Henry Kevin Olusola, age 4
Born December 16th, Henry is the third born child and third son of Kevin and Tara.

Henry was an unexpected surprise to Kevin and Tara! Tara did not know she was pregnant with Henry until he was born! However, Henry was born healthy and a happy baby!

Henry is currently a pre-kindergartner and he wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up!

• Mallory Teagan Olusola, age 3
Born September 14th, Mallory is the fifth child and second daughter of Kevin and Tara. Mallory was adopted at birth by Kevin and Tara! Mallory, Kevin and Tara are also close with Mallory's birth mom!

Mallory was born a few weeks early but luckily in the end she has turned into a healthy girl! Mallory loves anything girly and she loves music just like her Daddy!

Mallory is currently a preschooler and she wants to be a princess when she grows up!

• Kensley Alice Olusola, 7 months
Born May 21st, Kensley is the sixth child and third daughter of Kevin and Tara. Kensley was adopted at birth by Kevin and Tara and they are all close with her birth mom!

Kensley is a busy baby girl! Kensley is busy crawling around, eating baby foods, babbling, playing, being a baby sister, being Tara's buddy and being Kevin's assistant while he works!
