Zachary: "Hi, my name is Zach and I am sixteen years old. I was adopted by my incredible parents Esther and Darien when I was fifteen. You may recognize my mom, she is Avi from Pentatonix's big sister! I was in and out of foster care my whole entire life because my biological parents were addicted to drugs and extremely abusive. They just couldn't get it together."

Zachary: "I was told by a lot of people I would be unadoptable because of my older age. Nobody really wants to adopt teens due to wanting a baby, or a younger child and not wanting a child with trauma and behavior problems. I have PTSD due to my earlier childhood years. However, my parents have a mission to adopt children whatever their situation may be and they adopted me."

Zachary: "We met at school in a photography class. We instantly became best friends and connected with each other. We are now dating. I never felt like this for anyone before and I love it. Ronan is seventeen and I'm sixteen and we will both be seniors next school year! I am graduating a year early because I really hate school minus meeting friends and sports."

Before his junior year, he got top surgery and he has began testosterone! He is so amazing and I love him so much."

I am really scared to tell my parents because I don't want to ruin everything. I never had a "normal" family unit so to finally have one now makes me super scared to lose it. I don't want them to think I'm weird for dating a trans man. I don't know what I identify as, I just love people for them. I love Ronan for them."

Zachary: "Ronan is actually transgender, which is in the genderfluid umbrella I think. Ronan was assigned female at birth. They take testosterone and had top surgery, but they don't want bottom surgery because they want kids some day."

Darien: "Oh, okay! I was wondering why he didn't go to school at the beginning of the year. Makes sense!"

Esther: "You don't need bottom surgery to be valid. Whatever if in your pants doesn't friend your gender and gender identity. That's awesome Ronan wants to give birth some day! And what are Ronan's pronouns? I want to respect him!"

Zachary: "Yeah, it took a few weeks to heal from his top surgery. And his pronouns are he/him and they/them!"

Darien: "Great! We will remember those!"

Esther: "Mhm! Respecting pronouns is very important!"

Zachary: "And Ronan and I aren't just friends....."

Esther: "Hmm?"

Esther: "I am your Mom and I love you no matter what, okay? Don't be scared of me or dad. You can trust us and tell us anything, no matter what. I know you couldn't do that in your past but you can talk to us about anything you need to talk about. We will always going to be here for you, okay?"

Zachary: "Mhm."

Darien: "We love you, Z. We love you so much."

Darien hugs and kisses Zachary before Esther holds Zachary in her arms.

Zachary: "I don't know what 'label' I am. I guess I'm pansexual? Or omnisexual? I haven't figured it out."

Darien: "You don't need a label, Z. We love you for you."
