Right now, Esther and Darien are both getting ready to film a life update video for their YouTube channel!

A lot of fans have been asking for a family update, so Esther and Darien have both decided to film a video to explain everything that has been going on in the Koop family.

Ev, Gabriel, Noah, Sadie and Hana are all in school for the day while Annabelle and Asher are both upstairs watching a movie with Sebastian the dog!

Esther and Darien both sit down on the couch together and then smile at each other.

"Are you ready to film this video, Es?" Darien asks Esther as he smiles at her.

"Yes, I am ready, Dar! Even though it feels like I have to pee every twenty seconds due to the twins kicking my bladder!" Esther says, making Darien giggle and smile.

"Aww, they are getting so big in there!" Darien says as he happily rubs Esther's baby bump.

"They sure are!" Esther says as she softly kisses Darien and then Darien kisses Esther's baby bump.

Esther then begins to turn on the vlogging camera and she and Darien both happily wave at the camera!

"Hey, Koop Troop! Welcome to today's video!" Esther says as she and Darien both smile at the camera.

"Hey, guys! Today, Esther and I are going to make a family update video because a lot of things have happened in our family lately that we want to tell  you about!" Darien says to the camera.

"Well the first update, many of you know about it! As many of you know, Darien and I have adopted two children in the past few months! Our family because a family of nine from a family of seven! We first adopted a girl named Sadie Bethany and a few months later we adopted a boy named Asher Benjamin! Sadie is almost five years is old and Asher is two and a half years old." Esther says proudly to the vlogging camera.

"Sadie and Asher are actually biological siblings, so having them both together again is wonderful for them. Sadie and Asher were separated by the foster care system and were separated for a year. Esther and I always want to adopt siblings together because most siblings in foster care get separated forever." Darien says to the camera.

"When we adopted Sadie, we knew she had a younger brother but we thought he was going to be adopted by another family but thankfully, we were able to adopt him and have him join our family! So Sadie and Asher are officially Koops! Now we have seven children! Evalina, Gabriel, Noah, Sadie, Hana, Asher and Annabelle!" Esther says proudly to the vlogging camera.

"But our family is going to change in a few months! This summer actually." Darien says as he smiles at Esther and rubs her baby bump.

"The second family announcement is that we are expecting twins!" Esther says as she stands up happily and shows off her baby bump.

"Both of the babies are very healthy and happy! We want to find out the gender or genders of our twins when they are born!" Darien says to the camera as he and Esther both smile.

"I found out I was pregnant right before we brought Asher home. This pregnancy was not planned at all, but it is a blessing!" Esther says with a cheeky grin.

"I guess all I make is twins, because this is the second set of twins we will have!" Darien says jokingly making Esther chuckle loudly.

"This will be my last pregnancy so I will be getting my tube tied when they are born. And after the twins are born, we will not add anymore children into our family through adoption either. I know a lot of you know that we will never say no to a child that is in need, so if that situation happens, of course we will take the child in. However we will not seek to adopt any more children." Esther says to the camera.

"Es and I never thought we would be blessed with nine children in our family but we are and it is amazing how incredible God is." Darien says to the camera.

"We have nine children, four biological children and five adopted children. It is such a gift to have all of them." Esther says with a big smile.

"So this last family update is probably the most asked about on all social media platforms and the most anticipated one out of all of the updates we just shared to all of you in this video today." Darien says as Esther nods in agreement.

"Darien and I have seen all of your comments on social media about this topic and no, we didn't ignore them. Trust me, Darien and I have read all of them and even blocked some of the people who wrote very nasty comments. We just weren't ready to talk about it publicly just yet and some of you didn't respect those boundaries. We wanted to tell our family and friends first and to get other things in order before we told all of you this. It wasn't because we were ashamed or anything like that, it was that we wanted other people to know and to adjust first before announcing it to you." Esther says to the camera.

"We love you guys and we love all of the love and support for our family that you guys give to us. But sometimes we have to tell others the news first and then let you guys in on something later. It is nothing you guys did, it is just how things are sometimes." Darien says to the camera.

"So the last family update we want to share with all of you is that Evalina has came out to us as non-binary a few months ago. Evalina now wants to be called Ev and they now use they/them pronouns to describe themselves and not she/her pronouns anymore. I know a lot of you were very confused when Darien he I started writing Evalina's name as Ev on Instagram and using different pronouns. This has been an adjustment to our family and now we are ready to talk about it and to educate all of you about non binary people, because they are truly amazing." Esther says happily to the camera.

"Ev is an amazing little almost adult and we are just so proud to be their parents." Darien says to the camera with a cheeky smile.

"So, Ev came to Darien and I one night a few months ago and they were extremely upset. It was like they wanted to talk about something but just wouldn't say it. Darien and I had no idea what was wrong but we have both noticed that Ev was just acting different and not themselves. Ev just seemed off and seemed off for a while, like they were hiding something." Esther says as she rubs her baby bump. 

"Ev isn't the type of child that talks about their feelings openly. Due to the abuse they have lived through prior to their adoption almost seven years ago, they still struggle with coming to people and talk about their feelings. We have to talk with them and tell them that it's okay to talk about their feelings open and it's okay to feel certain things. Ev struggles with realizing that feelings are perfectly normal." Darien explains to the camera.

"I asked Ev what was wrong and they said  "Mom, dad, is it bad that I don't feel like a girl but I was born a girl?" And I said no, it is not bad at all. After I said that, Ev felt very relieved and got more comfortable with us. And then I straight up ask them, I said, "Do you feel like a boy?" because I thought, maybe Ev was transgender and didn't know what the word was to come out to us." Esther says to the camera.

"A lot of Ev's aunts, uncles and other people we know are gender fluid or on the LGBT spectrum, so they know about things like that and Esther and I are very open about being LGBT or gender fluid is normal and perfectly okay. We told them that God makes people all kinds of ways for a reason and God loves everyone. So when Ev came to us and said they didn't feel like a girl, we just assumed that they wanted to come out as transgender." Darien says to the camera as he rubs Esther's back.

"After I asked Ev that, they said "No, mom and dad I don't feel like a boy either. Is that bad that I don't feel like a boy or a girl?" And I said of course not. I said that they were special just the way they are and that God made them special. Ev felt happy about that and hugged both Darien and I." Esther says as she wipes away a few tears and Darien rubs her back.

"So after that, we asked Ev if they wanted to be called by a different name or if Evalina was still fine, and they said that either Evalina or Ev was fine, but that they preferred to be called Ev more. So of course, Esther and I began to respect their wishes. We then talked to Ev about pronouns and Ev started that they didn't like girl pronouns or boy pronouns so we decided to use they/them pronouns with them. We also talked with some of our LGBT friends about Ev and they all said that Ev fits with being a non binary person, which means that Ev does not identify as either a male or a female." Darien says as he looks at Esther.

"However, Ev now doesn't mind she/her pronouns too. We always ask them which pronouns every day or so! Ev really understands that some non binary people want to be strictly be called they/them pronouns but Ev is also comfortable with she/her if the person she is talking to doesn't understand what being non binary means. Some people just don't get people who are non binary and Ev understands that. And we do too." Esther says to the vlogging camera.

"Ev doesn't really like to wear feminine clothing like dresses or rompers anymore. However, they still love to wear feminine shirts, necklaces, jewelry and nail polish. Ev is more into masculine clothing now a days, so all of those pictures of Esther and I taking Ev clothes shopping should make more sense now." Darien says to the vlogging camera.

"I felt like a freaking horrible parent making Ev wear a dress for holidays, knowing deep down they really hated dresses. However, Ev told me that they weren't mad at me, they just wanted me and Darien happy and that's why they wore the dresses. And I told Ev that they need to make themselves happy with the clothes they wear, not Darien and I. So Ev knows now that if she doesn't like a piece of clothing that someone buys for them, it's okay to say something, nobody will be upset or mad. Ev is also old enough to pick out their own clothes and outfits. They are almost ten now which I can't believe we almost have a preteen! However, I do make sure it matches and looks nice which Ev appreciates." Esther says as she and Darien both giggle.

"Ev also wanted to cut their hair, so now Ev has short hair and they are very obsessed with it, which makes Esther and I very happy." Darien says to the camera.

"Ev actually got to donate their hair which they loved to do that. Ev was very happy to help other children in need." Esther says to the camera.

"This hasn't been a big adjustment to us honestly! The pronouns were a little bit hard but we are well adjusted to it now. All of our family and friends have been very supportive of Ev's choice to be non binary. Everyone is very loving and supportive!" Darien says with a smile.

"To us, Ev is our child and we will be our child. Ev is perfect just the way they are and we love them very much." Esther says with a big smile.

"Well, that is all of the family updates for the day! We appreciate all of the love and support from all of you and thank you for being there for us!" Darien says to the vlogging camera.
