Today, Esther is going to be answering the most asked questions she gets a lot on her Instagram so her fans and Pentatonix fans know more about her, her husband and her children!

Esther is going to be filming herself answering the questions one by one as well!

• Who are the two other children that have been in your Instagram pictures recently? I never seen them before!
They are our two foster teens that we will be adopting sometime this year! ☺️ They came into our home on December 27th, during an emergency foster care placement and they have been doing so well with us, even though it's only been just a few weeks! Their names are Shepherd and Shiloh! Shepherd is thirteen and Shiloh is twelve and they are full siblings. They both feel at home at our house, something they never felt in any other foster care home they have been in the past.

Everything has happened just so fast. We actually weren't expecting to foster anymore children right now, but everything happens for a reason and we believe these two are definitely meant for our family!

Shepherd and Shiloh have been in and out of foster care their whole lives, so to finally have a stable household and a family that loves them no matter what makes them feel so special and happy ❤️

• What are the bedroom arrangements at your home?
Zachary and Ev have their own bedrooms! Zachary is almost sixteen and we feel he deserves to have his own bedroom after never having his own room his whole life. Ev also has their own bedroom because they were our eldest child for many years and it is unfair to make them share a bedroom with a younger sibling now.

Shepherd and Shiloh share a bedroom because they chose to share one. We have room in our house for both of them to have their own bedroom but they like to share a bedroom!

Gabriel and Noah share a bedroom, Sadie and Hana share a bedroom, Asher and Annabelle share a bedroom and Rose and Judah share a bedroom!

• Out of your adopted children, are any of them siblings?
Yes! A few of them are siblings actually! ❤️

Ev and Hana are half siblings
Sadie and Asher are full siblings
Shepherd and Shiloh are full siblings

Darien and I always want to keep siblings together if we can. The foster care system can tear families apart due many reasons, so it is the least we can do is adopt siblings together if possible! Avi and Kate are the same way!

• Do you and Darien want to have anymore biological children?
We haven't really talked about this topic actually! We are both very happy with how our lives right now!

For those who are new to our family, Darien and I have four biological children together - twins Gabriel and Noah who are six years old and twins Rose and Judah who are nine months old! Yes, two sets of twins! We were shocked about that too 😂

Darien and I struggled with infertility at the beginning of our marriage, so we started the adoption process and we adopted Ev when they were three years old! Then we got pregnant with Gabriel and Noah! After that we adopted Hana, Annabelle, Sadie and Asher before having Rose and Judah! And finally we adopted Zachary and have two foster teens in our home.

Gabriel, Noah, Rose and Judah are all miracles to us! For us never thinking we could possibly have kids, to have two sets of twins is just incredible. However, their pregnancies were both extremely hard on me and my body (twin pregnancies are usually high risk) I gave birth to Rose and Judah at thirty four weeks due to going into early labor, so if I got pregnant again I would be at high risk for that again.

So, Darien and I are very happy with the biological children we have, plus the ones we adopted. We are very blessed ❤️

• What is the order the kids came into yours lives and how old were they?
I really love this question actually! I don't think anybody has asked this before!

Ev - When they were three years old!
Gabriel & Noah - I gave birth to them at 37 weeks
Hana - As a newborn in the NICU
Annabelle - As a newborn. We met her at a week old!
Sadie - When she was four years old!
Asher - When he was two years old!
Rose & Judah - I gave birth to them at 34 weeks
Zachary - When he was fifteen years old
Shepherd & Shiloh - When they were thirteen and twelve years old!

• Who has special needs? You don't have to answer if it's too personal.
No, it isn't too personal! I love to spread awareness when I can about disabilities. A lot of people sadly do not want to adopt children with disabilities. All children are worthy of a loving family and home. 

Ev has high functioning autism which was known as Asperger's until recently. Ev also has Generalized Anxiety Disorder and PTSD.  Asher has epilepsy, Annabelle has cerebral palsy and possibly fetal alcohol syndrome. We need to do more testing on Annabelle to find out for sure.

Sadie has hearing loss and also a learning disability. We are still trying to figure out what her learning disability exactly is. We are thinking Sadie had a brain injury as a baby and that's why she has a harder time in school. We are still looking for her medical records to figure things out.

Zachary, Shepherd and Shiloh all have PTSD from traumas they have been through as children.

• Do you and Darien want to adopt anymore children?
We are currently in the process to adopt both Shepherd and Shiloh! Their case status officially changed from foster care to adoption a few days ago and they are so happy about that 😭 Shepherd and Shiloh have only been in our home for only a few weeks, so this adoption process is going be very fast! Shepherd and Shiloh have been in and out of foster care their whole lives, so for it to finally be over makes them very happy as well as the court system.

The court system wants Shepherd and Shiloh to have a stable home with lots of love and lots of nurture which they will get with us and the court system sees that. Shepherd and Shiloh have been through a lot with their biological family and many foster homes so they court system is happy they finally found Shepherd and Shiloh a forever family in us! We are hoping the whole adoption process will be done by June!

After that, we truly don't know. According to the state of California, our house is "too full" for anymore foster children but since the foster care system is so full, they still allow us to take children in. There isn't a enough foster parents in the state sadly.

We have a house that fits the needs of our children and more children if need be, so that's good! I think that's why California still let us foster too! However, our home will always be open to children who need a home. We are very passionate to help children in the foster care system.

Aww! This is so so sweet to say! Thank you so much for saying this 🥰 I didn't realize the need of teenage adoptions until Zachary was put into our lives!

There are currently about 60,000 children in foster care in California and six percent of all children in the U.S. will find themselves in the foster care system before they turn eighteen. When kids turn eighteen in foster care, they are just pushed into the real world with absolutely nothing and that is simply just not fair.

Zachary was our first teen we fostered to adopt and now we are fostering to adopt Shepherd and Shiloh! We would love to help more teenagers in the future if we are chosen to help! ❤️

• What are the kids full names?
For Shepherd and Shiloh, I can't legally say their full names because they aren't legally ours yet. Whenever I can tell you guys their middle names I'll let you guys know! And don't worry, I'm not getting in trouble saying their first names! But here are the other kids full names!
