Alex and Jake are going out on a much needed date night tonight!

Alex and Jake's best friend and all of the kids' godmother Jess is back in Cali for a few weeks this summer! She absolutely cannot wait to hang out with Alex, Jake and the kids and have lots of fun with them!

So tonight, Jess is at the Kirk house, keeping Scarlett, Aurora, Levi, Avery, Swifty the cat and Gaga the cat all occupied and very well taken care of while Alex and Jake have a very special and much needed date night together!

Alex and Jake haven't had a special date night in a while now. Ever since Alex has gotten his brand new job at Netflix, he has been working long days and has been busy! Jake is also being very busy as a stay at home dad to the Kirk kids - Scarlett, Aurora, Levi and Avery!

Also, Jake is currently pregnant with Baby Kirk #5 and he has felt sick for the few months but he is now finally feeling a lot better and back to happy and spunky self! 

Alex and Jake just left Jess, Scarlett, Aurora, Levi and Avery and they are currently in Alex's car.

Alex and Jake just got into Alex's car and they are getting ready to head out to their fun date night!

Alex hasn't told Jake where they are going just yet and Jake is starting to get impatient about it. Jake loves surprises but he also doesn't like not know what is going on. Jake is very much a planner so surprises sometimes make his planning side of him panic.

"Allie! Where are we going, babe? Please tell me! Pleaseeeeee! Pleaseeeeee! You know that I hate not knowing what is going on." Jake says playfully to Alex as he softly kisses Alex's cheek.

"You will see very soon, babe! I know you will absolutely love it. And plus, if I tell you where we are going, it won't be a fun surprise anymore." Alex says tenderly to Jake as he kisses Jake's hand that he had in his grip on gently.

Jake playfully frowns at Alex and then giggles at him making Alex smile and chuckle.

Jake absolutely loves it when Alex surprises him and that Alex spoils him rotten. Jake feels so lucky to have Alex as a husband and as a partner in life.

"You are making Ruby very excited in my belly, babe. She is kicking a lot in there right now." Jake says as he rubs his baby bump with his other hand.

Alex chuckles loudly and smiles ear to ear at Jake.

"She should be excited and so should you, babe. You are going to really love this, baby. I just know it. You might even cry, babe." Alex says with a playful wink at Jake and Jake blushes at Alex.

"Oh lord, Alexander! You know I cry on a drop of a dime since I am pregnant. I am an emotional pregnant man 24/7. I absolutely love it when you surprise me, though. You spoil me so much." Jake says as he smiles at Alex.

"I love to spoil you, baby. You deserve to be spoiled always." Alex says, making Jake's cheeks blush again.

Alex then softly kisses Jake's hand again and then rubs Jake's small but growing baby bump.

"Baby girl is moving a lot in there! Ruby is so active!" Alex says as he smiles at Jake.

"I know! Ruby is very active and I love to feel her kick but she keeps me up all night!" Jake says as Alex chuckles loudly.

"It make sense that every time I wake up, you are always out of bed and walking around." Alex says to Jake.

"Yeah, she kicks me hard when I sit and it kinda hurts so walking around helps." Jake explains to Alex.

"Ruby Raine Kirk, please stop hurting Daddy with your karate kicks. Daddy really needs his rest for when you come, princess." Alex says to Jake's baby bump.

"Awww, she loves her Papa's voice." Jake says to Alex happily.

Alex and Jake then listen to Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood during their car ride to the secret location!

"Okay, babe! Cover your eyes for just a moment, love." Alex says as they get close to their destination.

Jake reluctantly covers his eyes and continues to giggle and smile at Alex.

"I am really nervous about this, Allie!" Jake says playfully to Alex.

"Don't be nervous, babe!" Alex says as he parks and jumps out of the car, hurrying over to Jake's side of the car and helps him out of the car slowly.

"Okay, keep your eyes shut now babe." Alex says to Jake as he helps walk.

"Don't let me fall, babe! I am with child right now." Jake says playfully to Alex as he holds onto him as they walk.

Alex laughs and smiles as he and Jake both walk over to the arrangement he had set up after work.

"Okay, babe! You can now look and see where we are at." Alex says to Jake happily.

Jake opens his eyes and he gasps loudly at the sight he sees in front of him.

"ALEXANDER! Oh my gosh! This is sooooo freaking cute!" Jake says as he tries to not cry and get too emotional.

Alex smiles ear to ear and rubs circles into Jake's back.

"Do you like it, baby?" Alex asks Jake softly.

"I fucking love it, Allie! Thank you! Thank you!Thank you!" Jake says as he hugs Alex tightly and kisses him several times.

Alex smiles ear to ear at Jake.

"Nessa from work helped me make some of this food I packed in my basket because I can't cook all that well and I really wanted this to be really special. Let's sit down and relax, babe." Alex says, leading Jake to the blankets and helps him to sit down.

"I was wondering why Nessa accidentally called me today! It all makes sense now! And I hope I can get back up! I am already struggling with that already!" Jake says as he laughs and smiles at Alex.

"We have a few pillows here for you too. Do you want one, love?" Alex asks, sitting beside Jake, motioning to the big fluffy pillows he brought.

"Yes, please! Thank you so much, Allie. This is so freaking perfect. I am seriously about to burst into tears." Jake says as he tears up and smiles at Alex.

Alex smiles as he helps Jake get comfortable, offering him pillows as needed.

"Don't cry, baby. I was only joking. I hate seeing you or our babies cry." Alex says as he tenderly kisses Jake's cheek.

"These are happy tears, Allie! Don't worry! You aren't making me sad at all. I am so lucky to have you as my husband. I love you so much." Jake says as he sniffles and kisses Alex.

"I love you too Jakey! I am so lucky to have you as my husband as well." Alex says as he kisses Jake again.

"Mmm, all of this food looks soo good, Allie!" Jake says to Alex.

"Let's eat!" Alex says to Jake and Jake smiles.

Alex digs into the basket that he brought, and he pulls out two glasses for drinks and two little plates.

Alex then helps Jake get the things he wanted from their selection before getting his own.

"Mmm, Nessa is a really good cook! She has to come over to our house sometime! Make us some food before baby Ruby comes!" Jake says as he begins to eat.

Alex laughs at Jake and begins to eat as well.

"Nessa actually does want to come over! She and her husband have four kids as well! She wants to have a playdate!" Alex says to Jake.

"Ooo! That sounds perfect and really fun! Let's do that soon!" Jake says to Alex.

"I'll definitely tell her when I go back to work Monday!" Alex says as he kisses Jake.

"Thank you for all of this, Allie. This is so precious and something we really needed." Jake says to Alex with a big grin.

Jake then tenderly kisses Alex's left cheek.

"I definitely agree, baby. I am so glad we did this. And I am glad you're happy with it and are relaxing." Alex says softly to Jake.

"I am very very happy! You make me so happy, Allie." Jake says with a cheeky grin to Alex.

"And you make me very happy, Jakey." Alex says to Jake.

After Alex and Jake finish eating their dinner, Alex and Jake both lay down in the tent and they begin to watch the stars!

"The stars look so beautiful tonight." Jake says softly to Alex as he lays his head on Alex's shoulder.

"They do look beautiful, Jakey. Just like you." Alex says softly to Jake.

"Aww, stop it." Jake says as he giggles and blushes at Alex.

"I never realized how many stars there are in the sky at night!" Alex says to Jake.

"I know! I didn't know there were so many stars in the sky either. It's so beautiful and very peaceful." Jake says to Alex as he hugs Alex and kisses him.

"I love you, Jakey." Alex says to Jake softly.

"I love you too, Allie." Jake says with a big cheeky smile.

Jake and Alex watch the stars together and they kiss each other for a little bit. Alex and Jake are just relaxing in the peace and quiet and feeling the cool summer air.

"Hey, Jakey?" Alex says to Jake softly, as he rubs Jake's chin.

"Yeah, Allie?" Jake says to Alex as he looks at him, making Alex smile.

"Do you wanna get some ice cream before we head back home?" Alex asks Jake causing Jake's face to light up with a big smile.

"How did you know I wanted an ice cream come?" Jake says to Alex with a cheeky grin. 

"Because I am a mind reader, that's why." Alex says playfully to Jake making Jake giggle.

Alex and Jake get up off of the ground and they put away the tent and decorations before loading up in the car.

"Can we get a soft serve ice cream cone, Allie?" Jake asks Alex softly with a little pout.

"Whatever you want to get I'll get you, love." Alex says making Jake excited and smile.

"You are the best." Jake says as he kisses Alex.

Jake and Alex both get a vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream cone before they head back home. 

Jake and Alex had a wonderful date night together! :)
