Jake's mom Tanya and stepdad Rick are flying in to visit Jake, Alex and the kids for two weeks!

Alex and Jake are very excited to have Tanya and Rick visiting them and spend much needed time with them. Jake is very close with his mom, so he loves to see his mom as much as he can!

Also, this is the very first time that Tanya and Rick will see their new home! The kids are so excited to spend time with Tanya and Rick too!

Currently, Scarlett, Aurora and Levi are helping Jake put a load of dirty clothes into the washer to get washed. Scarlett and Aurora really love to help out Jake and Alex whenever they can!

Scarlett and Aurora are only five and four years old, so they can only do basic things! Jake and Alex love to teach all of the kids brand new things and life skills early because they think it will help them when they are older.

Levi is now two years old and he is beginning to help out around the house too! Levi likes to copy his big sisters and follow their every move.

"Thank you three so so much for helping me! Now, let's get these clothes out of the dryer! You guys can put them in this basket and Papa and I will fold them up later!" Jake says to Scarlett, Aurora and Levi.

Scarlett, Aurora and Levi begin to grab the fresh clean clothes from the dryer and they throw them in the basket.

"Don't throw them! Place them into the basket, please." Jake says to Scarlett, Aurora and Levi.

Meanwhile, Alex is bouncing Avery on his leg while he works on a few work things. Avery happily giggles and he is also chewing on an elephant teething toy!

Avery is now one years old and he is on the move! Avery just learned how to walk without assistance and he is currently teething a ton!

Scarlett, Aurora, Levi and Jake all leave the laundry room and head to the living room to join Alex and Avery.

"There's my happy baby boy! Did you take a good nap, Av?" Jake asks Avery as he picks him up and kisses his cheek.

"Daaaaaa! Paaaaa!" Avery says clapping his hands happily.

"Yes, he did! Finally after a few days of not mapping!" Alex says playing with Avery's blonde hair.

"You guys are the best little helpers, ever! Thank you for helping Daddy with laundry!" Alex says to Scarlett, Aurora and Levi.

*Scarlett, Aurora, Levi and Avery's outfits*

"You're welcome, Papa!" Scarlett and Aurora say in unison as they hug Alex.

"Yeah, Papa!" Levi says with a big grin.

"They all really love to do laundry! Now we need to teach them how to fold clothes!" Jake says as Alex chuckles.

"Swifty!" Aurora says, running over to Swifty and picks her up.

Aurora hugs Swifty tightly and rubs her head. Scarlett also pets Swifty and hugs her.

"Be careful with Swifty, girls. Be careful. Remember she has a boo boo on her belly?" Jake says to Scarlett and Aurora.

"Yeah! Poor, Swifty!" Scarlett says as Aurora sets Swifty on the couch next to Alex.

"You are a good girl, Swifty. But you needed to be spayed." Alex says to Swifty as he rubs Swifty's head.

"Swiff! Swiff!" Levi says, hugging Swifty.

"Good boy, Levi! Being gentle with Swifty!" Jake says as Levi smiles ear to ear.

Aurora, Scarlett and Levi continue to hug and kiss Swifty the cat.

Alex iPhone dings and it is Jake's mom Tanya. Tanya and Rick are on the way to the Kirk house!

"Hey guys! Nana and Pop are on the way to our house!" Alex says to Scarlett, Aurora, Levi and Avery.

"YAY!" Scarlett, Aurora and Levi say in unison.

"Yaaa!" Avery says clapping his hands happily

Tanya and Rick have arrived at the Kirk house! Alex has taken Tanya and Rick's suit cases upstairs into their guest bedroom! 

"Welcome, mom and Rick!" Jake says, hugging both Tanya and Rick tightly.

"Thank you so much for inviting us! We are very excited to be here!" Rick says to his stepson.

"I am so happy to be here! I can't wait to spend time with my grandbabies, with you and with Alex!" Tanya says, kissing Jake's cheek.

"Of course! We are all excited to have you two here! The kids have been counting down the days until today!" Jake says with a chuckle.

"Aww, they are so fun." Rick says to Jake with a grin.

"Where are my beautiful grandbabies at?" Tanya asks out loud with a big smile on her face.

"We are right here, Nana and Pop!" Scarlett says as she runs over to Tanya and Rick and hugs them.

"Hiiii!" Levi says, running over to Tanya and Rick and hugs them.

"Hi, Nana and Pop!" Aurora says happily as she runs over and hugs them.

"Hey kiddos!" Rick says as he hugs Scarlett, Aurora and Levi tightly.

"Hi, cutie pies! I missed you all so so so so much!" Tanya says as she kisses Scarlett, Aurora and Levi's cheeks.

Jake walks over to Tanya and Rick with Avery in his arms.

"Look, Av! There's Nana and Pop!" Jake says as Avery babbles happily.

"Hi, Avery! You are getting so big, baby!" Tanya says as she picks up Avery and kisses his cheeks and Avery giggles.

"Hi, Avery! Wow, your hair is growing! What a blondie!" Rick says, rubbing Avery's head and Avery smiles ear to ear.

"It is growing in, finally! He is a blondie just like his Papa!" Jake says with a big smile.

Alex walks down the steps and greets his in-laws happily.

"Welcome, Tanya and Rick! Welcome to the Kirk home!" Alex says, hugging Tanya and then Rick.

"Thank you, Alex!" Tanya and Rick say in unison.

Tanya bounces Avery in her arms and Avery giggles loudly.

"Hey guys, show Nana and Pop their bedroom they will be staying in while they are with us!" Alex says to Scarlett, Aurora and Levi.

"Let's go, Nana and Pop!" Scarlett says happily to Tanya and Rick.

"Yeah! Let's go! Let's go!" Aurora says as she holds Rick hand.

"Yay!" Levi says holding Tanya's hand.

Tanya, Rick, Scarlett, Aurora and Levi all go upstairs and show off their bedrooms and the guest bedroom!

"Here's your bedroom, Nana and Pop!" Scarlett says as she opens up the guest bedroom door for Tanya and Rick.

"SURPRISE!" Aurora says, jumping up and downs.

"YAY!" Levi says as he claps his hands happily.

"Wow! I love it!" Rick says to Scarlett, Aurora and Levi.

Levi climbs on Tanya and Rick's bed and begins to jump around on it. Rick tickles Levi and then picks him up off of the bed.

"Don't jump up and down on the bed, bud." Rick says to Levi.

"This bedroom is very nice! I love it!" Tanya says with a big cheeky smile.

"I'm glad, Nana!" Scarlett says happily.

"Yeah!" Aurora says, twirling around and dances.

Tanya, Rick, Scarlett, Aurora and Levi all walk back downstairs.

"I LOVE y'alls house! It is so big and spacious! Absolutely perfect for you guys!" Tanya says to Jake and Alex.

"Thank you so much! Allie spoiled me with this house, that's for sure!" Jake says to his mom.

"Thank you, Tanya! This will be our forever home, I think! Jake and I LOVE it here!" Alex says as he rubs Jake's back.

Tanya, Alex, Jake and Rick have just been sitting together, catching up and talking on the couch while the kids played with their play kitchen together.

"Hey, Jake and Alex! Let's all go out and have some fun! I wanna spoil the kids and take them out." Tanya says as she bounces Avery in her lap.

Avery babbles in his Nana's lap, sticking his fingers in his mouth. Alex chuckles and takes Avery's fingers from his mouth, replacing it with a pacifier.

"We can go out and do something. What were you thinking on doing, Tanya?" Alex asks his mother-in-law.

"I wanna do something Christmasy and festive!" Tanya says as Levi runs over to Rick and sits in his lap.

Rick tickles Levi and Levi laughs loudly.

"There's an event at The Grove where the kids can make gingerbread houses and see Christmas lights!" Jake says to his mom Tanya.

Rick then rubs Levi's back, and is listening to his stepson. Alex happily nods and smiles at Jake.

"Oh, yeah, yeah! We could go definitely there! That would be so much fun. The kids really love stuff like that!" Alex says with a grin at his in-laws.

"Sounds perfect! Scarlett and Aurora! Come here, girlies!" Jake says as Scarlett and Aurora run over to him.

"Yes, Daddy?" Scarlett and Aurora say in unison.

"Nana and Pop wanna take you two, Levi and Avery out to see Christmas lights and build gingerbread houses!" Jake says as Scarlett and Aurora cheer.

"YAY!" Scarlett and Aurora say as they twirl and jump around.

Avery claps at his sisters' excitement as Levi bounces in Rick's lap.

"I'm excited!" Levi says as he cheers.

"I'm excited too, Levi! Let's go get our coats on! It is a little chilly out!" Jake says as Scarlett, Aurora and Levi run over to get their shoes and coats from the coat closet.

Tanya helps Avery put his shoes and his little red coat on.

"You are so tiny, Av! You are a little string bean!" Tanya says as she tickles Avery and Avery giggles.

"Avery and Levi are almost the same size, it is crazy! All of our kids are petite little things!" Jake says with a chuckle.

Avery giggles loudly at Jake, making Tanya smile. Rick helps Levi zip up his jacket and tie his shoes.

Scarlett and Aurora put their own shoes and jackets on while Alex gets the kids stuff together and the diaper bag.

"Let's load up in the Kirk van! Alex got a bigger car so we can all fit." Jake says laughing.

"Good choice! There is a lot of us!" Rick says with a chuckle.

Rick picks Levi up and takes him to the van and buckling him in. Tanya carries Avery out to the van and buckles him in.

Aurora and Scarlett buckle themselves in their booster seats in the back of the van.

"Nana, can you sit back here with us?" Aurora asks Tanya.

"Yes, Nana! Please!" Scarlett says happily.

"Pop needs to sit back there with you two because he is too tall to sit with Levi and Avery." Tanya says to Scarlett and Aurora.

"Rick can sit upfront with Alex! I'll sit with the boys!" Jake says with a grin.

Tanya climbs in the back with Scarlett and Aurora and sits with them.

"Yay!" Scarlett and Aurora say as they smile ear to ear.

Rick sits in the passenger seat and does silly faces in the mirror making the kids giggle.

Alex puts Avery and Levi's diaper bag in the back seat before climbing in the driver's seat beside Rick.

"Everyone ready to go?" Alex asks Rick, Tanya, Jake, Scarlett, Aurora, Levi and Avery.

"YES!" Scarlett, Aurora and Levi say in unison.

"Yay! How exciting!" Tanya says happily.

Alex starts driving to their destination, chatting with his father-in-law Rick up front. Avery babbles and chews on a teething toy. Avery looks up at Jake and waves his slobbery teething toy at him.

Jake giggles and wipes the slobber off of Avery's mouth and hand. Scarlett and Aurora happily talk with Tanya in the back.

After a twenty five minute drive, the Kirk family have made it to their destination! The event they are at is for St. Jude's hospital. The event is to raise money to help sick kids and their families during the holidays. The event has Christmas lights, gingerbread houses and other fun things!

"Look at the pretty Christmas lights, guys!" Jake says to the kids, pointing out the window.

"Woah!" Levi says, looking out the window with a huge cheeky grin.

"Look at the trees! Wow!" Scarlett says with excitement.

"So so pretty!" Aurora says happily.

Alex smiles, looking at his family in the rear view mirror.

"They are pretty, aren't they?" Alex asks the kids.

"Yes!" Scarlett, Aurora and Levi say in unison.

"Look at Frosty! Hi, Frosty!" Tanya says as the kids gasp in utter excitement.

"Frosty!" Levi says as he bangs on the window.

"There he is!" Jake says to Levi and Levi smiles at Jake.

Alex parks the van near the entrance of the St. Jude's Christmas event and everyone begins to load out of the van.

Alex holds Avery in his arms as he looks around the fun St. Jude's event, and he then looks over at Jake, the kids, Tanya and Rick.

"What should we do first, guys? You decide!" Alex asks everyone.

"Let's look at the Christmas lights first! There's a lot of Christmas lights to look at!" Tanya says as she holds Scarlett and Aurora's hands.

"Yeah, pretty lights!" Aurora says with a cheeky smile.

"Yay!" Scarlett says as she also smiles.

Rick sits Levi on his shoulders and Levi begins to play with Rick's beanie hat, making Rick chuckle.

"Who's excited to see the Christmas lights?" Jake asks the kids, mom, Alex and stepdad.

"MEEEEE!" Scarlett, Aurora and Levi say in unison.

"YAAAA!" Avery says as he claps his hands.

Tanya, Rick, Alex, Jake, Scarlett, Aurora, Levi and Avery begin to walk around the Christmas light display and look in awe and amazement.

"Woah, rainbow trees! That's really cool!" Aurora says as she looks around in utter amazement.

"They are gay Christmas trees, that's why!" Scarlett says, making Alex and Jake laugh loudly.

"That's right, Scarlett! They are gay Christmas trees! Isn't that cool?" Jake says to Scarlett, Aurora, Levi and Avery.

"Yes! It shows our awesome family!" Scarlett says to Jake and Alex.

"You are right, Scarlett!" Alex says proudly to Scarlett.

"Aw, that's so precious!" Tanya says with a grin.

After looking at the rainbow Christmas tree display, Jake, Alex, Tanya, Rick, Scarlett, Aurora, Levi and Avery are walking around the light rings display!

Scarlett, Aurora and Levi begin to run around the light rings and giggle happily. Tanya is now holding Avery in her arms while Alex takes pictures and videos of the kids for memories!

"Let's take a cute picture!" Tanya says to Scarlett, Aurora and Levi.

Scarlett, Aurora and Levi hug each other and begin to pose for the picture.

"So photogenic!" Rick says as he pulls out his phone and begins to take pictures of the kids.

"Say cheese, guys!" Tanya says to the girls and Levi.

"Cheese!" Scarlett, Aurora and Levi say as they all smile for the pictures.

"Very cute!" Tanya says to the kids.

"Look at the little snowman over there! So cute!" Tanya says to the kids.

"I love snowmen! I wish it snowed here!" Aurora says out loud.

"Yeah, me too!" Scarlett says agreeing with her little Aurora.

"Maybe when you two and your brothers are a little older, we can go to Colorado or somewhere cold and go skiiing!" Rick says as Aurora and Scarlett gasp in excitement

"I would LOVE that!" Alex says as he wraps his arm around Jake.

"Me too! We should plan it!" Jake says with a grin.

"All of the trees here are so so pretty! What a beautiful event!" Tanya says happily.

"It is! We should make this a tradition!" Jake says to his mom and stepdad.

"Wook!" Levi says as he smiles at all of the trees.

"I see, bud!" Jake says, picking up Levi and kissing Levi's cheek.

"Hey guys! Look over here!" Alex says to the kids, pointing at the grinch.

"THE GRINCH!" Levi and Aurora say in excitement.

"And that's his dog, Max!" Scarlett says as she chuckles.

"Do you love Max?" Rick asks Scarlett, holding her hand.

"Yes! I really really want a dog like Max!" Scarlett says to her Pop.

"You have to ask Daddy! I wouldn't mind adding a dog to the Kirk fam!" Alex says winking at Jake.

"Allie! Don't put me on the spot like that! We just got Swifty." Jake says to Alex and the kids as he blushes.

"That sounds like a maybe!" Alex says as Tanya and Rick both giggle at Alex's excitement.

"Hey! Do you guys wanna see the new grinch movie while Nana and I are in town?" Rick ask the kids.

"YES!" Scarlett, Aurora and Levi day in unison.

Scarlett and Aurora absolutely love to go to the movies. Levi and Avery, not so much. Probably because they are only two and one years old while the girls are four and five years old.

"Maybe we can go in a few days! That will be so much fun to do together!" Tanya says to the kids.

After looking at all of the Christmas lights, it is time to make gingerbread houses!

The adults decided to each work on a gingerbread with one of the kids to make it easier.

The pairings were: Alex and Avery, Jake and Aurora, Tanya and Scarlett and Rick and Levi!

"Levi, put sour patches on the roof bud!" Rick says as Levi begins to do it and smiles at Rick.

"Don't eat all of the candy, silly!" Alex says as he does most of the work with his and Avery's gingerbread house.

Avery babbles happily and plays with the candy. Alex kisses Avery and rubs his back.

"Nana, let's do a squiggly line design on the roof!" Scarlett says to Tanya.

"That would be really cool, Scarlett! Let's do it!" Tanya says as she and Scarlett begin to work on the roof.

"Let's put the jelly beans around the door, Daddy!" Aurora says to Jake.

"Definitely! That would be neat!" Jake says to Aurora.

Alex, Avery, Jake, Aurora, Tanya, Scarlett, Rick and Levi continue to work on their gingerbread houses and have a lot of fun!

After working on their gingerbread houses, Alex, Avery, Jake, Aurora, Tanya,  Scarlett, Rick and Levi walk over to the car.

"These gingerbread houses are so so cute! I LOVE them so much! We all did such a great job on them!" Jake says as Alex and Rick set the gingerbread houses in the trunk of the van because they are heading home.

"I hope they don't fall down and break while Papa drives us!" Aurora says as she climbs into her booster seat.

"Me either! Nana and I worked really hard on ours!" Scarlett says to Jake as Alex as she sits in her booster seat.

"If they do fall down and break, that's okay! We can always make another one!" Tanya says to the girls.

"Who's hungry?" Alex asks the kids as he makes sure they are all buckled in before Tanya, Rick and Jake get in the van.

"Meeeee!" Scarlett, Aurora and Levi say in unison.

"Let's eat some good ol' fast food then!" Jake says making Tanya and Rick both laugh.

"I want some In-N-Out Burger!" Rick says and Tanya happily nods.

"Let's go!" Alex says as the kids cheer with excitement.

After being at the St. Jude's event for almost two hours, Alex, Jake, Tanya, Rick, Scarlett, Aurora, Levi, and Avery go out to eat dinner before heading home!
