Her eyes were brown. Brown like soil saturated with water that sticks on shoes if you step in it. Brown like a tree trunk in one of those never-ending forests you read about in stories, ones that are humid and make your hair stick to the back of your neck and the sides of your face after wandering. Brown like two cups of milk-less coffee sitting next to each other on a wooden table top. Brown like the coffee they had a moment ago.
And they were his. His to look into, get lost into. Or switch between the two quickly while they try to catch the hazel of his, those were also hers. The hazel eyes of his followed the brown ones of hers, as they lightened with her every word.
Her lips are reddish and pouty, and can be beautiful either closed in silence or stretched with glee. They always match her eyes, and show him what her eyes cannot. They can whisper, they can demand- and with the matching tone, make him melt all over again.
When she demands, he always wants to listen.
Her bitter words, her hate for him suffocated him. She always seemed to have an effect on him, on his mind on his heart and his entire being. He had never taken shit from anyone, he had never listened to someone like he listened to her.
Her every word was laced with emotion, her every demand was for her own protection, he could see the vulnerability in her eyes and the strength in her words.
A woman so weak yet so strong.
He had a dominating side in him, he hated when people imposed their wills and words on him. But with Meerab he wanted to get down on his knees and listen to her every plea. Fulfill her every wish, bring her the world, his heart would start aching whenever he saw her cry.
Tears of women never brought out the softer side in him, Haya had cried in front of him and her tears only infuriated him. But with Meerab, his heart ached whenever she said she would leave him. She had drawn him into her world, slowly capturing his heart leaving him defenceless.
He had entered her heart's territory, her world was different from him. He listened to Meerab so that he could imagine her, enter her world, but in the end the listening exposed him even more than it exposed her. He realised the world he lived in was weak, made of plastic, there were no emotions just rules. Her world felt real, as he entered it slowly, he felt the warmth, the love, the emotions he had never felt before. He knew he was an intruder in her world, unwelcomed, but Murtasim couldn't help but want to make memories of his own in it. From her world, he started viewing everything differently, it's actually funny how his imagination changed from this point, he forgot his own beliefs and reimagined the world in hers.
What he viewed as weakness was strength in her eyes... and now he could understand why. The fire in his heart, the constant hollowness, all of it disappeared when she smiled. That smile of hers filled the scars of his heart, so when she smiled he couldn't look away.
As if deep in thought, she directed those love filled eyes towards him. Her smile and eyes speaking to him better than her words had ever. And like a poet she whispered his name, "Murtasim..."
The time stopped as he looked at his wife, her romantic side leaving him breathless. Her lips parted as her eyebrows danced with every word, "I think it's too late".
He was supposed to reply but he was too dazed, awestruck lost in her words, his brain trying to decipher the meaning behind her words. Her hands hovered above his heart and this time he felt something in his heart. It was beating loudly, as she gently patted him, her hand touching his heart and his body flushed.
He stopped breathing, as she smiled with her eyes, "Hmm..?" she asked in that lovely voice of hers, his heart was buzzing, he felt an ache in his heart. He wanted to pull her close, embrace her, hold her hand and tell her, he wanted to surrender his heart, his entire being to her.
"Of course", he found himself replying as she turned away, his eyes followed her across the room.
"Help karado...", she said throwing one end of the blanket as it gently caressed his face. He caught it, as she playfully motioned him to fold it. A smirk graced his lips, as he eliminated the distance between them pulling her closer by the blanket, their fingers brushing as they stared into each other's eyes, her head tilting with affection as she gazed at his handsome face.
Touching his every feature with her eyes, stopping on his reddish lips and she pulled away as he stood there like a statue. Placing the blanket on his bed, she strolled towards him with confidence like a queen.
Go to sleep..
As she turned away Murtasim felt his heart cry, he felt nervous, this moment made him restless. His heart screaming at him, he was scared of something. Of her everchanging nature, she rarely romanced with him, it almost felt like a dream. A dream he didn't wanted to get out of. He didn't wanted her to leave, his heart signaled him to embrace her, so he did, his hands encircled her waist, cocooning her his nose was tickled by the smell of her shampoo.
Her soft body pressed against his, as he felt the calmness. She was rigid, he knew he had messed up. He was about to apologize when she relaxed and rested her head on his shoulder.
He couldn't believe it, as he gazed at her face, her eyes closed as she hummed. Her voice eliciting emotions in him, his heart beating loudly. He felt tingles all over, his hands were trembling as she placed hers on top and they stood there in the middle of the room calmly in an embrace. This was where he belonged, the peace he always craved was finally his.
He wanted to forever remain in her embrace.
"Murtasim...", she whispered his name softly her voice demanding, her body swaying a little, it was demanding something.
"Hmm.. bolo", he asked with a sigh, she didn't speak but slowly lifted his hands upper from her stomach towards her chest. His breath hitched, as he tried to stop his hand from trembling, he was nervous. He didn't wanted to cross any limits she set, he didn't wanted to make her cry... he was scared off the consequences... Meerab always gave him an air of mystery and he finally realised why his heart ached whenever she turned away.
He was scared that one day she would disappear.
She would leave him for someone else...
It hurt so much that his eyes teared up, they fell down his cheeks. The thought of losing her terrified him, there was a knot in his stomach. He couldn't bear to lose her, she tried to turn around as she felt something amiss his hand was hovering above her chest, his breathing was heavy.
He realised she would face him, so he placed his chin on her shoulders and engulfed her in a bear hug his hands on her chest. She couldn't see his tears, but she felt it as they started forming a wet spot on her shoulder. He was crying, his hands were trembling, completely vulnerable.
But he didn't wanted to show her his tears. He didn't wanted her to know his weakness. She was his weakness, and he was scared to lose her.
You can love someone so much, but you can only realise the true extent of your feelings when they are gone, even the thought of losing her scared him. This moment was melting him, her finally giving in to him like he found her missing heart. Her heart was beating loudly against his palm, his tears making her heart ache.
Why was she feeling all of this?
Why did his tears melt down the walls of her heart?
It felt like her world transforming, she felt her throat dry up as she said the words her heart wanted to utter...
"I want you... Murtasim".
She couldn't contain the need, the lust, the hunger she had for him. She couldn't endure without his sweet soft words, his poetic eyes that carried dept, the heart and soul she saw in his kindness.
She felt his arms loosen and she was scared, uncertain of the effect of her words on him. So she slowly turned around and saw the face that drove her crazy. His eyes were closed, not wanting to reveal the vulnerability in them. His hands tightened into a fist as he breathed loudly. Meerab softly touched his fist, her feather like touch making the grip losen and entwined their fingers. He opened his eyes, his hazel meeting her brown ones and all words were lost in the fantasy.
Their eyes tried to read each others, the dimples at the corner of their lips formed on a sync as their eyes revealed the same passion. The distance shortened, their noses touching, their breath mingling, their eyes closing as they felt their lips connect.
The temperature rose as their body ignited, Meerab felt something from deep within his touch burning her core. He had caressed her face before but this touch was different from before, his body went ablaze and his body hardened.
It was a sweet torture for him, as he felt her hands caressing his body. He followed her queue and sucked her lips tenderly. They nibbled each other trying to learn how to kiss, how to breath in between.
Neither tried to dominate in the beginning but then he felt the teasing touch of her fingers that travelled from his abdomen and lower .... All thoughts vanished and he lifted her in his arms, the smile on her face reassuring him that she desired him as much as he did.
He lowered her on the bed, her head softly touched the pillow as he let his fingers touch her face, the cute button nose that crinkled whenever she got angry, the eyebrows that danced to tease him, the lips that shook his world and the eyes that made him fall in love.
Her black tresses with hints of brown always attracted him, he ran his fingers through them and softly traced her cheeks that blushed. Her innocent face, her lusty eyes and flushed face, her mischeivious hands that travelled inside his kurta was driving him insane.
This woman was a queen, who ruled over his mind, soul and body.
