Twelve

While Alana gave the patients their breakfast, she felt way better after getting her problems off her chest. She was just so sick of her family acting like she a nuisance. Laurent seemed like he cared, though, and that added to her happiness. Now, she and Crystal we're sat at the nurses desk, both of them typing away at their computers.

"I saw you this morning," Crystal said, peeking over at Alana. "You looked really upset, and I just wanted to know if you were okay."

"I'm good," Alana said quietly, smiling a little. "Just some stuff going on with my family. I'll be alright."

"Again?" Crystal groaned. "Who was it?"

"My mom and sister."

Crystal rolled her eyes and she, sighed, reaching for her mouse. "I never liked her. She seemed really sketchy and every time I saw her, she'd give me this dirty look."

Alana chuckled, running a hand through her hair. "She went back to Georgia yesterday, so you don't have to worry about her."

"Good," Crystal hmphed.

Alana didn't say anything after that and she looked at the time, seeing that she would be making her rounds soon. The only thing she needed to do was take the trays from the patients and fix some lunch for them soon. She stood from her chair and she left the nurses station, heading for the first room. She took her ID and she opened it, taking the empty tray that sat by the door. She looked at the patient briefly, watching him rock back and forth. She frowned and she closed the door moving down to Samantha's room.

She opened the door and she took Samantha's tray, stacking the two trays together and smiling at her. "How you feeling, Sammy?"

"I'm okay," Samantha replied. "I liked the pancakes."

Alana chuckled softly, sighing a little.

"Thanks love," she smiled. "I'll see you later, okay?"

Samantha nodded and Alana left the room, closing the door behind her. She went to Agnes's room next, opening the door quietly. Agnes was sitting up on her bed with a smile on her face, a creepy one at that.

"Agnes?" Alana said as she took her tray, stacking it with the others.

"I've learned to cope with it," Agnes said, staring straight ahead. "They won't go away, and I'm tired of trying to make them leave. So now they're my friends."

She looked at Alana and her face fell, a frown appearing on her face. "They don't like you, Alana."

Alana eyed her carefully and she backed out of the room, closing the door quickly. A sigh left her lips and she shook off her nerves, making her way to Laurent's room. She opened his door and she stepped inside, watching as he shot up from his bed. A smile graced her face and she grabbed his tray, putting it with the others.

She sat the trays down next to the door and she walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his neck. He hugged her back tightly, a genuine smile washing over his face.

"You okay?" He asked, pressing a kiss to her cheek.

"Yeah, I'm okay," she smiled. "Are you?"

"I've been thinking," he sighed, looking up at her as she sat in his lap. She frowned a bit, curling her lips in.

"Thinking about what?"

"How tomorrow will go. I don't know if I'm okay with letting him be around when you get me out."

"The doctor?" She asked. He nodded slowly, and she sighed.

"Laurent, I can't let you do that," she said. "I don't want you to kill him."

"Think about it, though," he said. "If you get me out, and he see that we both missing from here, what you think he's going to do? He has your information, he can locate you anytime he want to. And he sees we're close, baby. It's not a good thing to let him live."

Alana groaned a little, leaning into him in a child-like manner.

"That's more blood on your hands, though. I don't want that."

"You don't have to worry, Alana. I can take care of it. I can clean it after."

Alana ran a hand over her face and she stood up, turning away from him. His suggestion was completely out of her comfort zone. She wasn't okay with Laurent just offing someone just like that. Like it wasn't even that big of deal. She didn't know what he would try to do to the doctor, or how he would do it. He shouldn't even have to do it at all.

Laurent stood up and he walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her. He placed his chin in the crook of her neck, pressing a soft kiss on her jaw, a sigh leaving his lips.

"Baby," he said softly. "I know you don't want me to. But think about it. We don't have to worry about him anymore if I do it."

"Why do you want to do it so bad?" She asked, turning around in his gentle hold.

"For us," he said. "So I can be with my girl. Don't you want that?"

"I do," she replied. "But not on account of someone else's life."

He groaned and he dropped his arms, turning away from her. Why did everything involving violence have to bother so much? She knew what he was known for already. Why is it such a big deal?

"Alana, you know what I'm known for," he said. "Why does it bother you? This wouldn't be the first time I hurt someone, and it probably won't be the last."

"So you'll hurt me?"

He whipped around to face her and he frowned deeply, shaking his head.

"I'd never hurt you," he said angrily. "Why you ask me that?"

"Because I want to know why his life is less important than mine," she said, her voice breaking a little bit. He scoffed and he chuckled, clenching his jaw.

"You want him to keep us away from each other?"

"No, I -"

"So just let me do it!" He shouted, balling his fists up. Alana jumped back a little bit, a nervous expression crossing over her features. She looked down at her feet and she walked over to the door,  grabbing the trays.

"Why are you leaving?" He asked, walking over to her.

She shook her head and she reached for the door handle, but he grabbed her hand tightly, glaring at her.

"Why are you leaving?" He asked again, squeezing her hand tighter. She yelped and she dropped the trays, her free hand flying up to his arm.

"Let go of me," she spat, looking up at him intensely. After a few seconds of staring at her, he let her arm go and she sighed, rubbing it softly.

"You know what?" She said, scoffing. "Go right ahead, Laurent. Fucking kill him, I don't even care anymore. Just don't fucking grab me like that again, or yell at me when I'm trying to be fucking rational!"

"Watch your tone with me, Alana," he warned, raising his eyebrows. He could feel the anger forming inside of him, and he sighed, throwing his head back. At that moment, Alana found that to be the sexiest thing she's ever seen, and she decided to push it a little further.

"Oh, what're you going to do?" She spat. "You going to get angry? Go ahead. Get angry. I don't give a shit."

He laughed loudly, shaking his head slowly. "You on thin ice, chéri. Watch it."

"Go fuck yourself," she muttered. In a split second, he had her against the wall by her neck, his eyes narrowing at her as he choked her. Alana felt hot flashes coursing through her body and she held back the whimper that threatened to fall form her lips at the rough gesture.

"I try to be nice to you," he chuckled. "But you just love to test me, don't you?"

"Maybe I do," she said. He frowned, eyeing her in confusion. It didn't take long for him to catch on, though. When he did, he got closer to her, his eyes flicking to her lips.

"Is this what you like?" He asked lowly, leaning in a little bit. She nodded slowly and she smirked, her eyes landing on his lips.

"I love it," she whispered.

Laurent grunted before pressing his lips on hers, his tongue finding hers almost instantly. She moaned into the kiss, her hands running down the side of his body, rubbing his toned abs under his t-shirt. He grabbed her leg and he lifted it up, resting it on his hip. A hot flash ran through his body and he gripped her throat tighter, earning a whimper from her.

He wanted to take her right there on that wall so bad, but it was his turn to think rationally.

"Not now, baby," he said against her lips. She didn't listen as she reached for his dick through his pants, rubbing it tenderly. A moan left his lips and he began to kiss her neck, licking and sucking on the soft skin. She moved her hand up a little bit and she reached into his pants, trying to get her hand into his boxers.

"Baby," he said, biting his lip hard. "Tomorrow, I do it, okay?"

"I don't care anymore," she said as she finally got to it. "As long as I can get this anytime I want afterwards."

She grabbed his dick hard, the thick meat barely fitting in her hand. Laurent grunted as she stroked him softly, his hand flying up to the wall.

"Baby, what if someone see us -"

Her thumb began to massage the tip of him and he stopped talking instantly, a content sigh leaving his lips. She could feel the beads of precum leaking out of his tip, and she wiped it off with her thumb. She slid her hand out of his pants and she looked at him as she brought her thumb to her lips, licking it clean.

"Fuck," he whispered. "You tease."

She giggled as she wiggled from under him, walking over to the trays splayed across the floor. She picked them up and she looked back at him, biting her lip.

"I'll be back later," she smirked before exiting the room, leaving Laurent extremely hot and bothered.

The closer Laurent got to tomorrow, the more anxious he got. It's been such a long time since he got a lot of blood on his hands, and he couldn't wait to feel it in a few hours. He adored the thought of hurting the man that wants to keep him away from his girl; his baby. Alana brought out something in him that he didn't show for a long, long time, and he wasn't going to let her out of his sight at all. He knew that without her, he'd just become the monster he was before. the one that didn't give a shit about anybody. The one that didn't hesitate to spill blood in the past. She brought out a whole new light in him, and he promised himself no to go back down that road. Especially once he got rid of the doctor.

Day by day, he noticed that Alana grew more comfortable with him. Extremely comfortable. The events from the night prior kept flashing through his mind. He couldn't stop thinking about her moans not once. It was the most beautiful sound he's ever heard in his life. The way her eyes rolled back into her head as he thrusted into her, the way she gripped onto him for dear life, the way she shook under him as she came; he couldn't stop thinking about it. It got to the point where he imagined how it would feel to make love to her, to feel every inch of her tight pussy clenching and unclenching around him. To feel her chest on his, rising and falling rapidly as he sent her into a state of euphoria. He wanted it. That's was the main reason why he was excited about her getting him out of that place. He'd be with his girl, and he could make her feel good, and happy, anytime he wanted to.

In the midst of all of his thinking, he paused for a minute, and realization hit him like a train. He really felt for this girl a lot. When he first met her, he would have never thought that he'd feel so strongly about her. Now, even if the slightest thing happened to her that made her feel hurt or broken, he'd make whoever caused it suffer immensely. He'd kill for her.

He began to picture her when she was talking earlier in the day. When she was crying, and she looked so broken. He wanted to snap her sisters neck so bad, but he know if he ever got the chance, he wouldn't do it. That was still her sister. Then again, Larry was his brother and he treated him kind of the same way her sister did her, but far worse. He didn't want her to go through what he went through. God forbid if she did, then everyone would be dead.

The most unfamiliar word popped into his head at that moment, causing his heart to damn near stop.

Love.

Such a word was never used in his vocabulary in his life. He only felt it for one person, Larry, but that was short-lived of course. He never felt it for anybody.

Do I love her? He thought. He didn't have time to answer his question when his door opened, revealing an innocent looking Alana. His eyes shot towards her as she walked towards him, her hands clasped together in front of her.

"You okay?" He asked her as she stood between his legs, a smile creeping on to her face.

"Mhm," she hummed, reaching up to brush her thumb against his cheek. He smiled softly and he pulled her down, his lips meeting hers. He kissed her slowly and tenderly, and she followed the rhythm of his irresistible lips, her eyes fluttering shut.

"Laurent," she said, pulling away from him. "Can we do it tonight?"

"Do what tonight?" He asked, eyeing her in confusion.

She bit her lip nervously, her eyes moving away from his.

"Can we leave?"

Laurent didn't even think once before nodding quickly, a grin appearing on her face.

"Will you make it quick, though? No mess?"

Laurent groaned, and he threw his head back. He was not happy with her decision, but the fact that was merely okay with him doing it caused him to rethink catching an attitude.

"Fine," he muttered.

"Good," she said, pressing a kiss to his lips. "You know what this reminds me of?"

"What?" He asked.

"Bonnie and Clyde," she grinned.

"Yeah," he chuckled. "But it's Laurent and Alana now."

"Alana and Laurent," she corrected. He rolled his eyes, licking his lips slowly.

"Whatever," he said. "I only agree because I don't want to argue with you."

She giggled childishly and she kissed him again, her hand reaching up to caress his face. As he kissed her, he couldn't ignore the warmth building up in his core, and his thoughts raced back to her statement, a smile threatening to break their kiss.

Maybe she was the Bonnie to his Clyde.
