"colbyy!" you yelled from down the stairs. you walked into the kitchen seeing your mom set down both your plates.

"so how long does this stay on?" he asked, pointing down to the metal band on his foot.

"2 years." you smiled at him, he walked over to you kissing your lips once before walking over to the kitchen table.

"good morning." colby said to your mother. she smiled at him and said a small "morning" back.

"what's happening today?" colby asked while stuffing a piece of  bacon in his mouth. you chuckled, "not much when you have that metal thing."

he just rolled his eyes. you all ate your breakfast. "do you need help cleaning up?" colby asked your mom.

she just shook her head and smiled, "don't worry colby." then you parted your ways. you and colby went upstairs to your room to just relax for a bit while your mom was finishing some cleaning and bills.

you both laid on the bed and just let out a heavy breath. staring at the ceiling thinking of nothing. "i'm surprised your mom likes me."

you laughed and looked at him, "why wouldn't she?"

"are you kidding?" he laughed and looked up at you as you sat up. he sat up next to you.

"it's not like ya know, you kidnapped me and like we did things." you laughed making him tackle you on the bed. he crawled above you and smiled down before slowly leaning in to kiss you. you kissed him gladly but soon got pushed away by his head snapping to the left.

you looked at him. his eyes were tightly closed and he hit the side of his head.

"get out." he whispered before he fell next to you. you sighed and rolled over to him wrapping your arms around him. he kept his one hand on his head and his free one around you. " he was literally gone like for a while 5 months."

you caress his cheek with your thumb before pulling him into a more comfortable hug. he rest his head on your chest while listening to your heart beat, which he found out calmed him down.

"i love you." he said. you smiled and played with the accessible hair to your hands.

"i love you too."
