Shu's past (Pt. 1)
Shu was born to a family of celebrities, mom an actress, dad a CEO to a world famous brand and his sister already aspiring to be a young model. She looked exactly like him, then why do everyone prefer his sister over him? Easy answer, their gender. Every girls desire to be boys, but they never recognise their own grace and attractiveness in the human community. In this case, both twins are beautiful, but it suited Sia more because of her gender, and the modelling teams rejected Shu because he looked...odd to be like a man. And his devilish red orbs contrasted heavily with his sister's blue ones.
People, mostly his relatives, called him a devil, adopted, cursed, evil, you name it. Shu lived a life of people evading and ignoring him, and he obviously didn't like that. And his sister made sure to always remind him of his place in the society.
"I wonder which orphanage took you in before my parents adopted you."
She'd gang on him with her so-called friends, who only hung out with her for money and popularity, and bullied him for every small feature of his, especially his red eyes.
"What are you, a rabbit? Look at those ugly red eyes, they look like some sort of movie glasses, without the blue." (I just realised Phi's eyes are similar to movie glasses)
"You're not quite a queen yourself, witch."
Sia scowled, then grinned wickedly like a witch. She bit her own hand hard to create small bite marks, then screamed at the top of her lungs.
Their parents rushed to her, seeing her sobbing and releasing forced tears, "H-He...bit me! I was just trying to ask him if he w-wanted to play with us...", Shu's eyes widened. Huh!?
"What- No! I didn't bit her!" Their father gave one look at the bite marks, then sneered, "So did she bit herself?"
"Yes!"
"You're grounded, young man." Their father said, and guided Sia and her friends to another room. But his mom stayed behind.
"She framed it on you, didn't she?" Mom asked. She did love him, just didn't had much time to attend to him. Shu looked down and nodded.
"Aw sweetie, don't worry. I'll buy you ice cream today evening. And besides, I think I can introduce you to someone who can be your friend."
Shu frowned, Friend? Like the fake ones Sia have or--
The door opened and a stunningly pretty woman came in with an adorable young boy. He had purple orbs and blue curly hair which stuck up like flame. Shu giggled.
"Hi, are you my new friend?"
The boy opened his mouth to reply, but his mother squealed.
"Tanya, you're son speaks such fluent English at such young age? He sounds like a man!"
That was the first time someone said he was like a man, and his heart swelled in pride at the recognition. His mom looked quite happy too.
"I know! Just don't understand why Juan always ignores him and only attends to Sia..." The pretty woman laughed.
"Oh you know how they are these days. They love their daughters more because they're pretty and can be used to show off to the whole world. I really have the same issues with Nico."
"H-Hai..." A baby voice said and all the three turned to see the forgotten toddler staring at Shu with wide eyes and a pout on his wet lips. He looked adorable!
"Hi! My name is Shu, what's yours?"
The boy blinked, then answered with a hint of confidence, "Ma name is Yui!"
It was Shu who blinked this time. Ok, so the name just sounded feminine.
"Oh sorry dear, he still doesn't know how to pronounce his name yet", The pretty woman said, "It's Lui. You follow?"
Shu nodded with a smile, "Mmm!"
Lui walked to Shu like a ducking, and held his tiny hand on Shu slightly larger one, "Less go."
Grinning at the small boy, Shu followed. They reached outside and Shu lay on the soft lawn, gesturing the younger to imitate him.
Both sighed lying on the sweet-scented grass. Finally after a long silence, Lui turned his head, plump cheek resting on the soft grass.
"Doo you huff slings?"
"Uh..." Shu didn't quite understand what he meant by that.
"S-Slings..?" Lui asked again. Shu just blinked in confusion, trying to understand.
"Slings..." Lui said again, this time using his hands to point at the albino, then raise it with his fist loose, as if showing height.
"Oh, siblings?"
Lui nodded.
"I have a twin sister, she's a few seconds older. My dad always prefers her over me though..."
Lui sat up, legs crossed with a frown on his brows and a pout gracing his pink lips. Shu totally wanted to hug the daylights out of the younger, but he was afraid if Lui would judge him and leave.
"I had sis..." Lui said slowly, his frown replacing to one of sadness, "She ted cause of dice-ease."
Ted? Shu wondered, then realised.
"I-I'm sorry..." He said. But Lui shook his head.
"She was small...No milk..."
Shu didn't understand much, but from 'no milk', he realised that she was one of the kids who didn't get enough milk and died because of low energy and weak limbs. Shu felt sorry for the young bluenette.
"Why don't we go to the park?"
Lui blinked, "P-Park?"
Oh, Lui was a celebrity's son too, he wouldn't have got life outside his home. Unlike Shu, who was free to go wherever he liked because of his unpopularity, Lui was quite popular with his adorable looks and famous actress mom.
They went to the park, forming the bonds of friendship. They met everyday in the park, their moms joining sometimes when they were free. It was only an year after Shu and Lui met did Sia and Juan met the young boy.
The park was closed because of constructing reasons, and Lui's mom dropped the younger to the Kurenai house.
"...then how was your son's name made?"
"Oh, we named him Shu after the Chinese meaning, pure, charismatic...Pity he isn't any of it."
Lui listened to the conversation of Shu's dad and some guest who visited them. He knew from the start they were lying. Shu's mom had told him that Shu was named after the Japanese meaning, circuit. And his dad didn't expect him to be pure or charismatic. His blood boiled hearing those lies, but he ignored them and walked to Shu's room.
"Shoe!"
"Damn, stop it with the puns!"
Their usual greeting.
"Shu, your dad's a liar."
"Huh?"
"I heard him telling some guests about your name-"
"Oh I know that..." Shu said sadly. But he diverted the subject, "Say, let's have some ice c-"
"Who might you be?"
Both friends turned their heads at the third voice, and saw Sia and Juan standing there. Lui stood up.
"Hello, I'm Shu's friend, Shirasagijo Lui."
Both of them gasped at the last name. Shirasagijo was a very famous actress, and Shirasagijo Nico was another CEO whose company was bigger than Kurenai's.
"K-Kid...why are you hanging out with him? You can make f-friends with our daughter..." Juan said with a faked wide smile and wide eyes, still not believing that one of the most famous heir was in his house.
"I prefer kind and loving people over fake and mean ones." Lui answered boldly, and Juan flushed, then frowned in anger.
"Whatever story he fed you, it's all a lie. He's just very spoiled dear. Unlike my beautiful daughter. You can befriend her, or maybe even go out with her when you are older!"
Lui grimaced, "Ew, not with miss plastic I won't!"
And that's when their rivalry began.
Sia would taunt them every time Lui comes over, calling him ugly and fire-head. And the usual mean words for Shu.
"You look like you arrived after washing your hair inside a toilet." She said, but Lui always had insults to throw back at her.
"No point saying that to someone who looks like that all the time." And he shrugged, walking off with a laughing Shu.
Life was always the same for Shu. Lui, taunts, Sia, parents, ignorance...Until one day, everything changed.
His mom died in a plane accident.
The young boy was filled with horror and depression because his mom was the only one aside from Lui and Mrs. Shirasagijo who was kind to him.
After her funeral, where Lui stayed by the albino's side and comforted him, his dad called him to his study, to reveal a shocking news.
His aunt, who he hated with passion, lived in Australia. He was about to live with her.
Lui refused to leave Shu alone, much to Juan's dismay, who hoped to hook him up with Sia. And the bluenette ended up moving with Shu's aunt along with him.
His aunt didn't like both of them, and always complained that she wanted a girl. The dislike to him turned into hate, then despise. And soon, she'd abuse him and remind him how much of a mistake he was, all while Lui watched helplessly, wishing he could help his friend.
Until that one day, when Shu's aunt returned home with a man around twenty. He looked quite handsome, but his expression told the 10 year Shu that the man was no good.
I'm gonna make this story into a thriller. Just you all see. Anyway, sorry for not uploading daily for the past few weeks. I'll try my best. And besides, I don't think I'll be in Wattpad for long...My family is talking about selling the laptop to get some money. My sister's new school is almost making us broke, and money issues are rising. So if I wouldn't be able to make it, at least I'll finish all these stories before my parents sell all our things, including this laptop.
Stay safe and happy!
Fin.
