Wouldnt work.
Hey how's it going sorry haven't updated in a while
Millie's pov
I woke up to the sound of my alarm, for school. God, I hate school.
I got up and got ready for the day and did my usual routine, and I wore some white denim
Shorts and a black tank top. I put converse on, and let my hair down.
After I was all ready I said bye to Ava and my mom and walked out the door, to see Finn waiting in the driveway for me in his car.
I walked to the passenger side and got in, and he smiled at me, his eyes never leaving me.
"Goodmorning." He said, and I smiled at him back.
"Morning." I said, and looked at his outfit. He was wearing a red flannel with a black shirt underneath, with some black pants.
"You look nice today." I said, and he laughed, pulling out of the driveway.
"Same to you." I said, and he drove to the school.
-
"Yeah, we've basically just been doing lessons and homework, but you did all that in Idaho." Maddie said, and I nodded.
"Okay, thanks Maddie." I said, and she smiled and nodded.
The bell rang after math, and everyone left, but I stayed to talk to the teacher for a minute. After, I walked out of the classroom and to my locker.
But for some reason, everyone was staring at me.
Why would people be staring at me? Nobody even cares about me.
I just walked to my locker and opened it, and I took my backpack off my back and hung it up on the hook to put my bags in, and I heard footsteps run up to me, then I saw arms around my waist, tying a flannel around it.
"Finn what are you doing?" I asked, and I turned to him, and his eyes were widened, out of breath, probably from running down all of the hallways.
"You're bleeding." He said, and my eyes widened, and I covered my mouth with my hand.
"Are you serious?" I asked, and he nodded.
"I was on the other side of the school, but someone was talking about it down there so I ran to your locker to see if it was true, and it was," He said, out of breath.
"Well thank you for the flannel." I said, and he nodded, and I groaned.
"What am I supposed to do? Like I don't have any other pants with me." I said, and he was trying to think of something.
"Just wear my flannel the rest of the day." He said, and I groaned.
"Okay, well I could drive to your house and get you different shorts." He said, and I raised my eyebrows.
"I don't want you looking through my underwear you creep." I said, and he laughed a little.
"Fine, you can ask Sadie. Her study hall is this period. Even though I could totally do it." He said, and I rolled my eyes.
"Not taking that chance." I said, and put my bags in my backpack and gave my bag to Finn.
"I have to go to the bathroom and find Sadie, so take my stuff to Spanish." I said, and he nodded, and ran to Spanish.
Of course, the one fucking day I wear white shorts.
I'm so embarrassed. At least Finn isn't weirded out by it though.
-
I changed into different clothes that Sadie brought for me, and I fixed everything, so I was fine. I still have Finns flannel though.
I have dark blue denim shorts on now, so the flannel kind of looks good with my outfit.
I put it on the right way, as a long sleeve, and it looked good. Just a little loose and long, but I just rolled up the sleeves a bit.
I am so late to Spanish. Should I even show up?
Might as well.
I walked into Spanish, to see that it was just a sub, and they were watching a movie. The sub was old and sleeping. Thank god.
I walked to my seat behind Finn, and he watched me walk. So did everyone else. Things get around at this school, so basically everyone knows.
Finn turned around to talk to me, and he looked at me, then looked at the flannel.
"You can have it back if you want." I said, and he smiled and shook his head.
"It looks cute on you." He said, and I smiled. He looked down to my wrist, which had my pink bracelet around it, the one Ava gave me. He put his arm on my desk, showing his blue one.
"Twins." He whispered, and I laughed a little.
"People won't stop staring at me." I said, and I looked around.
"They are probably just jealous that you have me as a friend, because I'm so awesome." He said, and I hit his arm.
"Shut up." I said, and he smiled.
-
"So who's house?" Noah asked.
We were sitting at lunch, talking about where we were all going to hang out today. We were just gonna watch some movies.
"My house would work." Finn said, and I looked to him.
But I got distracted when I looked up, to Iris walking past our table.
She was wearing something way out of the dress code. Everyone noticed.
She was wearing a skirt so short her ass was probably hanging out of it, and she was wearing a tube top, making her boobs very noticeable to everyone. Her hair was in two braids.
"Hey Finn." She said, and Finns eyes widened for a split second and his eyebrows raised for a second too, but it went away.
"What do you want?" I asked, and she looked at me.
"I'd like to talk to Finn alone." She said, and everyone looked at him.
"I'd rather not." He said, looking at the table.
"Just for a minute." She said, and he looked up to her.
"Fine." He mumbled, and walked out with Iris into the hallway.
My heart started beating fast. Finn and I aren't even together, so he wouldn't be cheating on me if he kissed Iris or something. So he can't really cheat on me if we aren't even together.
-
I was sitting at home on my phone, waiting to go over to Finns.
He never came back to lunch. But I saw him a couple times later in the day.
I changed into some joggers and a T-shirt, and just went over a couple minutes early.
I walked to his door and knocked, and he opened it and smiled at me.
"Hey Mills," He said, opening the door for me to walk in.
"Hey." I said, and he closed it.
I walked over and sat down on his couch, and the doorbell rang. He opened it to everyone else. I guess they carpooled.
They all ran and sat down on Finns couches, and they all started talking, I talked to Sadie a bit.
Finn sat down next to me and we all decided on what to put on. Well, I didn't talk, so they put on 47 meters down.
It shouldn't give me that much anxiety, right?
-
It was an hour in, and I was going insane.
I had my head rested on Finns shoulder, and his head was rested on top of mine, he was holding my hand too.
I can't breathe. I mean, I can, but it feels like I can't, because of this movie. And my anxiety makes it worse.
I think Finn fell asleep, because he hasn't moved in a while. It was dark out, and his parents were at work.
Also I have this...crushing thought that's been in my head ever since Finn left with Iris. He's acted different too.
After another minute, I jumped up from my spot, abruptly waking Finn up, and I walked outside, trying to catch my breath, which I didn't even know was that bad.
The door opened again to Finn, and he closed it and sat down on the step where I was sitting.
"Hey, why are you crying?" He said, and I faced him, and he wiped some of the tears off of my cheek.
"Sorry. The movie is just giving me a lot of anxiety and I can't take it anymore." I said, calming down, as he traced circles on the back of my hands with his thumbs, relaxing me.
"It's okay." He said, and we stayed like that in silence for a little bit.
"Finn, can you be honest with me?" I asked, and he looked at me.
"Yeah." He said.
"What did Iris talk about when she took you into the hallway?" I asked, and he looked down and sighed.
"She just talked to me about things." He said, and I raised my eyebrows.
"And we kissed," He said, and I took my hands away from his.
"I knew this wasn't going to work," I said, getting up, and he got up too, stopping me.
"Look, she kissed me first, and I stopped kissing back." He said, and he shook my head.
"But you kissed her at first." I said.
"Look I know I'm not as hot as Iris is, or pretty, or anything similar to it, so I understand. This just won't work between us, Finn." I said, tears welling into my eyes, same with him.
"Millie, I'm sorry. Please don't do this." He said, and I wiped a tear off of my cheek and looked over to my house.
"I should probably get home." I said, and he looked at me.
"Are you sure?" He asked, and I nodded.
"Night Finn." I said, looking down.
"Night Millie." He said, as I walked over to my house again. He went back inside, and I was walking up the porch of my house, when I heard crackling behind me.
My heart stopped, and I froze.
Millie, I'm here.
I shook my head no, and walked up the steps again, and I heard the cracking get closer.
I'm here.
It felt like a breath hitting the back of my neck, and I saw a black yet inhuman hand behind my shoulder.
The door abruptly opened, and I looked to see Ava, smiling at me.
"Hey Millie!" She said, and I smiled. I turned around, and nothing was there.
Nothing.
I walked back into the house, trying to forget about both things that just happened.
