Starbucks
Another update bc I love all of you
Millie's pov
It was already Wednesday, and I've had a pretty good week. It's been normal, with the occasional Iris visit.
I walked to my locker and put my folders in my bag, when I saw someone come over to my locker.
"Hey." Finn said, and I smiled at him.
"Hey." I responded, and we walked down the hall together, to his locker. He opened it and I leaned my head against the locker next to his. He got all of his things, then gently closed the locker, looking at me.
"You okay?" He asked, and I looked up to him.
"Yeah, just tired." I said, and we slowly walked down the hall to find the group.
"You can't sleep?" He asked, and I looked at him, with a look. He understood, and we kept walking.
"I haven't slept much either. I don't know why. I feel like I'm missing something or forgetting something whenever I try and go to sleep." He said, and I nodded.
"Me too." I said, and we made it to the group, they were all talking about the new trailer for season 5 of the flash, even though nobody cared except for Gaten.
"Hey look who it is," Sadie looked at us, smiled and winked.
"Great, now I can have more peoples opinion. Was the trailer good?" He asked us.
"Didn't watch it." Finn and I said at the same time, and we looked at each other.
"Heyooo!" I heard Noah say, walking up to us, holding hands with Jack.
"I bet Liz would say the trailer was good." Gaten said, and I smiled.
"Then go ask her." Sadie said.
"Nope, shes not here today, making me the 7th wheel." Gaten said, and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What are you-
"Don't say that I'm wrong," Gaten said, looking over to Finn and I, "You two have to at-least have a thing going on or something, because watching you guys, looks like you have one." Gaten said, and I shook my head.
"We don't," Finn said, beating me to saying it.
"You do. How can you not see it?" Gaten asked, and everyone around him agreed. My heart started racing, too fast.
"Clearly you guys are seeing something different. My dad would never let me have a boyfriend." I said.
"That's why you're not telling him." Caleb said, and my heart jumped again.
I turned around and walked around the corner, Finn calling my name.
To the left of me I saw a door for an empty classroom, door closed lights off, and the door was a couple feet away, the wall extending farther than the door. I went into it and sat down, my back against the wall, my knees up.
I saw Finn in the corner of my eye, and he sighed, and sat down, across from me.
"Millie, they are just teasing." He said, and I looked at him.
"Well it needs to stop." I said, and our eyes met.
"Millie-
"I don't even know why they would ship you with me out of all people. I'm not hot, I'm not even pretty. I'm not a normal girl, I get bullied, but somehow I made it into your popular group of friends. I cry myself to sleep almost every night, which isn't normal either. I have way too many emotions for people to even understand what I'm going through at that moment. I'm not a girl that should date, is what I'm saying." I said, and he shook his head.
"Nobody is normal Millie. I used to get bullied. And even if you're not hot or pretty, someone may like you. But you are hot, and you are pretty. Please text me if you can't sleep, I'll be awake. And everyone can date, Millie. You will find the right guy." He said, and I looked at him.
He's right in front of me.
The bell rang, which meant we had 2 minutes to get to our class.
"I'm sorry." I said, and he shook his head.
"It's okay." He said, and we both smiled. He got up, and he put his hand out for me to take, lifting me off of the ground.

I was walking in the hallways, and all I could hear is the voice of Iris to my right.
"I heard you went on the road trip with Finns group," She said, as I walked over to my locker, trying to ignore her.
"Did you and Finn finally get together? I saw you guys at the formal." She said, and I opened my locker, grabbing my folders.
"Wouldn't be surprised. Finn is such a hormonal boy. He tried to get me to do it with him once, but I politely declined." She said, and I slammed my locker.
"Stop trying to spread rumors about Finn that aren't even true. He's told me about you guys. He's never tried to have sex with you, he didn't even like kissing you. And he's not hormonal whatsoever, he's a nice guy, not looking to get into someone's pants. So stop spreading rumors that we all know are fake." I said, and she rolled her eyes at me, flipped me off, and walked away.
I leaned my forehead against my locker for a second, to take a minute, but that quickly ended when someone walked up to me.
"What happened? Are you okay? I saw Iris." Finn said, and I took my head off the locker, and shook my head.
"She's trying to spread fake rumors, and I told her to stop." I said, walking down the hallway, Finn next to me.
"Fake rumors about who?" He asked, and I shook my head.
"You."
"Oh." He said, and I nodded.
"Well, anyway, Ava told me that she wanted you to come to her birthday party on Saturday. Would you like to go?" I asked, and smiled at him.
He smiled back. "Of course." He said, and we both laughed a little.
"She says that her birthday wish involves you, but she won't tell me." I said, and he furrowed his eyebrows.
"I wonder what it is." He said, and I shrugged.
-
I was sitting down at lunch, and nobody was talking. Besides Noah. But he was just rambling on.
Sadie looked upset.
I felt someone lean next to my ear to whisper into it.
"Sadie and Caleb are in a fight." Finn whispered to me, and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Why?" I whispered back.
"I don't know, they don't tell us when they have a fight, we just have to figure it out on our own." He whispered, leaning back, leaving my spine coated with goosebumps.
"Sadie, can you just say something-
She cut Caleb off.
"No! How about when you see that I'm right about this, you will stop trying to argue about it." She said, and got up from the table and left.
"Jesus, why is she so mad?" Gaten said, and Caleb turned to him with a glare on his face.
And yet again, I heard a whisper in my ear again.
"Follow me. Wait a minute to leave." He said, and Finn got up and I watched him walk out of the cafeteria.
Noah was talking about yet another thing when jack came over, and now was my chance to go. I got up and casually walked out of the cafeteria, to meet Finn outside of it.
I turned the corner to the right, but he wasn't there.
I felt hands around my waist, and they lifted me up, chest against my back, and spun me around.
I laughed, knowing it was Finn.
"Dude, you scared me for a second." I said, and he smiled.
"Why are we out here?" I asked.
"It was a war zone in there, we don't mess with that. Hanging out with just us is a lot of fun, anyway. Would you want to go to Starbucks or something? Lunch isn't even close to over yet." He said, and I smiled.
"Sure. I've never had Starbucks." I said, and he widened his eyes.
"Jesus Millie, even I have had it." He said, and I laughed.
-
We got into his car, and he started to drive.
"Do you parents just not want to get you a car or can you not drive?" He asked, and I turned to him.
"My mom said I can't drive because she doesn't want me to get a hallucination or something when I'm driving. She also said that she always wants me with someone, never to be alone." I said, and we stopped at a red light. He turned to me.
"Overprotective then?" He asked, and my heart skipped a beat.
I don't like to bring this memory back. I never even think about it.
"You could say. Considering what she's been through with me." I said, and he looked to me.
"Want to talk about it?" He asked, and I shook my head no.
"Another time for another day." I said, and he nodded, and started to drive again.
I can barely even remember it. I was barely even into life yet.
We got to starbucks, and I looked around, seeing what it looked like. I walked into the line, finn behind me, and I looked at the menu of what to order.
"I can order you what I get, if that's easier." Finn said, and I nodded and turned to him.
I let him order and I went to go get our seats. It was a square table with two chairs on both ends. I sat down and checked my phone for a little, till Finn came back.
"Thank you." I said, and he smiled and looked at the ground, then sitting down.
We talked a little, and the coffee was actually really good.
Today wasn't even that bad. One of my good days, I guess you can say.
