Millie's pov
It was Friday, finally.
I just wanted the weekend to come so I don't have to see or talk to anyone.
I get in Sadie's car, and we drive to school, and all I could think of what happened yesterday.
She put on the radio, and I looked out the window.
-
We got to school, and she was telling me a funny story about what happened when she got home, and I laughed. We went to my locker, and I put my books away. We then walked up to the guys, Sadie kissing him again.
Noah smiled at me, and I smiled back.
The bell rang, which made me jump a little, and Noah laughed at me.
"Shut up Noah," I said, smiling, and he smiled and we walked to my first period class.
Literally, the most boring day ever.
Up until the very end of school, when it got worse.
I was at my locker, putting my stuff away, and then I shut it, to Iris standing there.
"Hey, what's up? How's my boyfriend?" She asked, and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What?" I asked, confused, and she rolled her eyes. She's taller than me with those shoes on.
"You know, the one you made break up with me?" She asked, and I looked down.
"I literally had no part in that. Maybe if you weren't such a bitch, then he would've stayed with you." I said, and I felt a sting on the side of my face, and heard a bunch of people gasp.
She slapped me.
I looked back to her, and she smiled.
"If you never came here, I'd still be with Finn, and it'd be the best life ever. It was a mistake for you to come here. Your whole life is just a mistake, I mean, I'd hate to have a child like you, and all your disorders." She said.
Hear that Millie? She finally said it. You're a mistake. Now you can't deny it.
The voices in my head won't stop now.
"Stop. Stop, stop stop, stop!" I yelled, and slid down the lockers, covering my ears, hoping it'd do something.
"Wow, I didn't know you'd go all psycho during school. Guess you can." Iris said, and walked away.
I cried, and I felt someone grab my hands, and stand me up.
"Noah, please just leave me alone." I said, and he shook his head no.
"I'm taking you home." He said, and he wiped the tears from under my eyes, and he shut my locker, and led me out to his car.
-
Millie, you're a waste of life, why are you here?
Grab the knife before someone else does it for you. Like iris.
"Millie, I'll talk to him, or I'll tell her to stop myself. I'll go to the principal." Noah said, and I shook my head.
"She's not gonna stop." I said, and he sighed.
We got to my house, and he stopped in the driveway.
"Is anyone home?" He asked.
"My sister." I said, and he nodded.
"Will you be okay?" He asked, and I nodded.
"Okay. Text me if you need anything." He said, and I nodded, walking into my house, and then closing the door, to Ava smiling at me.
"Hey Millie!!" She said, and I smiled.
"Hey." I said, and she smiled, talking about her day.
-
I took a shower, and put on short shorts and a T-shirt, laying in bed, emotionless.
It's already 12:00 am.
I tried to go to bed, without the voices bothering me.
I was so distracted about what happened, I didn't take my meds tonight.
-
Finns pov
I jumped out of bed, gasping for air.
I got woken up by the ear piercing screams.
What's it coming from? What the hell?
I got out of bed and looked around, everyone was still sleeping.
I looked out my window to see Millie's window open. It's coming from her room.
I quickly thought of the idea, grabbing a ladder from my closet, and placing it on our windows, so I could climb over.
The screaming stopped, but I heard her talking.
I slowly but surely made my way over to the other side, making sure I didn't fall off. I'm deathly afraid of heights. But I need to see what's wrong. And why isn't her family waking up?
I fell into her room, and I sat up, looking at her. She was crawling around, looking in drawers, murmuring something.
"Millie?" I asked, and she looked over to me.
"Millie, what's wro-
"They are going to get it before I do, I need to get it!!" She yelled, and I widened my eyes, watching her trying to find something.
"Millie?" I asked, and she was breathing heavily.
"they are going to get it!! I need to do it before they do!!" She said, again, and kept looking.
Oh my god. Is she having an episode?
How do I help? I don't know how to deal with this!! I've never seen her have one. Oh my god, oh my god oh my god.
"Millie, what are you looking for?" I asked, and she opened a drawer.
She pulled out a knife. My eyes widened.
"Millie, what are you doing with that?" I asked, my heart beating way too fast.
"They were going to get it before me, I need to do it myself." She said, as I slowly crawled over to her.
She put the knife pointed to her heart, and she was about to push it through, but I grabbed it out of her hands, and she put her hands on the side of her head.
"No. No no no. They have it. They have it." She kept mumbling, and my eyes were wide.
"Millie, I'm not going to hurt you." I said, and I threw the knife out the window before she saw me.
"Yes. Yes you are." She said, looking at me.
Her eyes looked black, likes she didn't even know it was me.
I moved closer to her, and took both of her hands.
"It's Finn. Your neighbor." I said, and she looked up to me. She gasped, and put one of her hands on her mouth.
She took it off, and looked around.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." She said, looking around, like she didn't know what happened.
"I-it's Okay." I said, and she got up, and I got up to. She walked to her bathroom, and I heard a pill bottle open.
She probably forgot to take medication before she went to sleep.
A couple seconds later, she walked back out, and she looked at me.
"I can go." I said, and she shook her head.
"Stay please." She said, and I nodded. We laid down in her bed, a foot away from each other. We didn't say anything, until I heard her crying.
"I'm sorry." She said, literally sobbing now.
"It's okay, Millie." I said, and she sat up, as did I.
"I feel bad." She said, and I put my hand on her cheek, wiping away her tears. She looked at me, and I looked at her.
"Don't." I said, and she nodded. She embraced me in a hug, which I gave back.
We laid back down like that, and then I fell asleep.
••••••••••••••••••••••••
Awe.
I cried so much tonight, because my softball team is in a tournament and our coach is going on vacation and tonight was the last night of him coaching us. Also crying because after this tournament I'm never going to play with the girls again. It's pretty depressing. I cried a lot.
But it's my birthday.
Hope y'all liked this chapter, sorry it was a little late.
