Malignant.

Don't cry or else I will cry

I told you something bad was gonna happen

Finns pov (oooo)

I had Millie in the backseat of my car, as I was driving to the hospital.

She was fine the first minute, then passed out the next.

We need to see a doctor, something isn't right.

I take out my phone and call her mom.

"Hey Finn, what's up?" She asks.

"Hi Ms. Brown, um Millie passed out and I'm taking her to the hospital." I said, and she gasped.

"Okay, I'll meet you there." She said, and I said okay, and we ended it.

Why the hell would she pass out? She's not dehydrated, she ate today. It has to be something.

-

I brought Millie in bridal style, and looked around.

"Could someone help me?" I asked, and a nurse ran towards us.

"Oh my, what's wrong?" She asked.

"This is Millie Brown." I said, and the nurse looked at the nurse on the computer.

"We are getting her doctor right away. Go into room 11, just down the hallway." She said, and I walked down to room 11, and laid her on the bed, catching my breath.

The doctor soon came in, and saw that I was here with Millie.

"Could you explain to me what happened?" He asked, and I looked at Millie.

"We were hanging out all day and she was completely normal, and then right when I was about to leave, she looked like she was losing her balance, and then a vein in her wrist went black for a second, and then she lost consciousness. I didn't know what to do." I said, and the doctor nodded.

"Where's Ms Brown?" He asked.

"She is on her way, she was at work." I said, and he nodded.

"We can't do anything until she wakes up, so just notify me when she wakes up." He said, and I nodded, and he walked out of the room, and I looked at Millie.

I brought my chair over next to her bed, and I interlaced her fingers with mine, and put my head next to her arm on the bed.

I was going to tell Millie that I love her before Ava came in.

I just don't know if it's too soon? She's the best thing that has ever happened to me. I just don't want to lose her or scare her away by telling her that I love her. Because I really do love her.

A lot.

Ms Browns pov

I walked into the hospital and went to room 11, and saw that there was no doctor in there.

I looked to see the room had the lights off, because it's night time.

I saw Finn was sitting next to Millie, and his head was rested next to her on the bed, and they were holding hands. Their fingers were interlaced with each other's. He was sleeping.

They like each other, I know that. I think it's cute. I think they are just trying to hide it from me.

I walked over to Finn, and I set my hand on his shoulder, and shook him a little.

He woke up and looked at who I was, and quickly took his hand back to him, and sat on the chair normally again.

"Hi Ms Brown," He said, and I laughed to myself a little on the inside.

"Finn, you can go back home if you want. She probably won't wake up for a while." I said, and he shook his head.

"I want to stay, I'm worried about her." He said, and I nodded, and took a seat on the couch across from Millie's bed.

I watched Finn as he looked at Millie, and I grabbed my sunglasses from my bag.

"I'm going to sleep, just wake me up if something happens." I said, and Finn nodded, as I put the sunglasses on.

I was still watching them though. Until I fell asleep.

Finn moved back to his position after a couple minutes, taking Millie's hand again, and closing his eyes.

Millie's pov

I woke up to lights.

I looked around and saw that my mom was talking to the doctor, while Finn was in the chair next to me with his head back, hood up and arms crossed, sleeping.

I looked to the doctor.

"Millie, nice to see you awake." He said.

"What's wrong with me?" I bluntly asked, and my mom looked at me.

"We aren't sure yet, but we are taking you to have a head CT." The doctor said, and I nodded.

"Now?" I asked, and he replied back with yes.

"Don't wake Finn up." I said, and they nodded, as we walked down the hospital to where you get the CT. I'm way too used to this hospital.

I laid down in the CT scanny thing, and let it do what it has to do.

"We will get the results in about ten minutes, then report to you." The doctor said, and I nodded, my mom and I walking back to the room, and I laid down. My mom sat on the couch across from me.

I looked over to Finn, who was still sleeping. He had a black hoodie on, and his hood was up.

"Finn didn't want to leave last night, he said he was worried about you." My mom said, which made me turn to her.

"Was He?" I asked, and she nodded.

"He was also holding your hand. He fell asleep with his head on the bed." She said, and my heart jumped.

"That's strange." I said, and she smiled at me.

"Millie, you can tell me about Finn." My mom said.

"There's nothing to talk about." I said.

"Okay, so what was he doing at our house last night then?" She asked.

"He was just hanging out," I said, and she raised his eyebrows.

"You know, guys have this look in their eyes. When they like you. Or have feelings for you. Or even love you. Finn was giving you that look last night, I saw him." She said, and I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, we like each other. Happy?" I said, and she smiled.

"Has he asked you out yet?" She asked.

"No." I replied back, crossing my arms and leaning my head black against my pillow, and closing my eyes.

"Have you kissed?" She asked, and I looked at her.

"Mooom," I silently groaned, making sure Finn won't wake up.

"Have you?" She asked, smiling.

"Yes, we have." I said, and she smiled and looked at Finn.

"He's a nice boy. And a cute one. If you're worried about him not treating you right, don't. I know he will." My mom said, and I just groaned and closed my eyes.

-

I opened my eyes once I heard the knocking on the door, the doctor. I noticed Finn was up, already watching me. I looked at him and lightly smiled, and he did it back.

"Hello Millie, Ms Brown, Finn," The doctor said, and I sat up, as he came over and stood by my bed to talk to us.

"The CT came back. You unfortunately have a tumor in your brain." The doctor said, and my heart skipped a beat.

What? A brain tumor? No. No.

"What do you mean, a brain tumor?" My mom asked.

"Its a brain tumor. The reason you're having trouble is because it's growing, and it's causing pressure in your brain." The doctor said.

"So why are parts of my skin turning black?" I asked.

"Well, this tumor....it's malignant." He said, and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"And what does that mean?" My mom asked.

"It means it's cancerous." He said, and my heart stopped. I felt Finns hand intertwine with mine, which brought me back to reality to hear what the doctor is saying.

"It's a secondary brain tumor. They start in one part of the body, and spread to the brain. It could have been lung cancer, breast cancer, kidney cancer, or skin cancer. But we know it was skin cancer, because of the black on your neck." He said, and I looked down.

Am I going to die?

"This explains why her eyes were black, because the tumor was pushed up against where the eyes work." He said.

"What about my back? Why is it bruised?" I asked.

"Symptoms are weakness of limbs. Bruising." He said, and Finn shook his head.

"I literally saw her get thrown across the room." Finn said, and I nodded.

"Well, we are not sure about that." The doctor said, and my mom started to cry.

"So you're telling me there's no way to fix this, and that she's going to die?" She asked, and I squeezed Finns hand. He put his forehead against them.

"There is therapy for this. And there are many support groups out there." He said, and my breathing quickened.

"So I'm going to die." I said, and looked at him.

"Some people get well if they do the treatment." He said, and my mom looked at me.

"I heard that is painful." My mom said, and the doctor nodded.

"It's very painful." He said, and I let out a shaky breath.

"How long do I have?" I asked, looking to him. Finn squeezed my hand, looking up at me.

"At the rate this tumor has been growing....not long." He said, and I looked to my mom.

"It's your choice, honey." My mom said, tears going down her face.

"Can I have a couple days to think this through?" I asked, and he nodded.

"You don't have to stay at the hospital." He said, and I nodded.

"Ms Brown, could you please come talk to me outside about the symptoms and medications," He said, and they walked out of the room, leaving Finn and I.

"Are you going to do the treatment?" He asked me, and we looked at each other.

He knows what I'm going to say. He knows what I'm like, and how I deal with things.

He doesn't know that he's the only thing in this world that actually matters to me.

He doesn't know that I wouldn't care if I died.

"Do you want me to?" I asked, and he looked down, his eyes glossy.

"Millie, I'm not making that decision for you. I support you on whatever you do." He said, and I nodded.

"I think you should ride home with your mom." He said, and I looked at him.

"Finn-

"Millie, please." He said, and I looked to his eyes, which were filled with tears.

"Okay," I whispered, and he stood up.

"Look, I'm going to go home, call me or text me tonight. I want to hear from you." He said, and I nodded.

He looked to the door where they were still talking, and he looked back to me and placed a small kiss on my lips, then another one, lasting longer, then walked out of the room.

I don't know what to do. Do I do the treatment? He said it didn't work on most. So why would I waste the rest of my life doing that instead of living a happy one?

I got snapped out of my thoughts, when I saw my mom walk into the room.

"Ready to go?" She asked, and I nodded, getting up.

We walked out of the hospital to the car, and I saw Finns car, still here. I saw his head was against his steering wheel, and the way his body was shaking, I could tell he was sobbing.

"Mom, I'm gonna go home with Finn, if that's okay?" I asked, and she nodded.

I walked over to the passenger seat of Finns car and sat down, looking straight.

"I told you to ride with your mom." He said, lifting his head off the car wheel, wiping his face from the tears.

"Well, I'm not. I don't want you to cry over me either." I said, and he looked at me.

"You don't want me to cry over by girlfriend and my best friend dying?" He asked, and my eyes immediately got glossy, when his voice cracked.

I held his hand that was closest to me, and leaned my head on his arm, and used my other arm to move my hand back and forth on his.

"I'm sorry," I said, and he started crying again. I didn't stop him, I let him cry.

I don't want to cry. I don't need to cry right now. Not now.
