Lean in
Millie's pov
I woke up, taking in a deep breath of air, and started to be aware of my surroundings.
My head was against someone's chest. Their hands were secured around me like they wanted to keep me safe. Mine were too. I felt my leg draped over their legs, and I opened my eyes, to see Finn.
Oh my god.
I can't believe I did that in front of him. Why would he stay when I did that? It usually scares people away from me.
I removed my hands from hugging him, and placed them lightly on his that were around me, and took them off of me.
I moved them and I sat up, and I heard Finn take a deep breath of air in, meaning he's awake.
He sat up and looked at me, and I looked at him with insecurity in my eyes.
"I'm sorry that I put you through that. I just had a bad day at school, that usually doesn't happen." I said, and looked down.
"Hey, it's fine. I'm just glad I was here." He said, and I looked at him. I smiled at him, and he smiled.
We both laid back into the bed, our backs on it and we were looking at the ceiling.
"Why'd you break up with Iris? Doesn't Iris mean more to you than I do?" I asked him.
He didn't respond for a while.
"She's always been a bitch, I just didn't want to tell myself that she was. When I saw what she was doing to you, I finally realized how much of a bitch she is, because she should never bully someone." He said, and I turned my head to him. He did the same.
"Well everyone is saying you made the right call." I said, and he smiled.
"I definitely did." He said, and I smiled, and he looked at all of the features of my face.
"When-
We got cut off by someone opening my door.
"Millie!!!" Ava yelled, then closing her door behind her.
Finn and I quickly sat up, and she looked at us with surprise, then a smile grew on her face.
"Cute boy!!" She said, running and jumping onto my bed.
"Why are you in here?" She asked, and I looked at Finn.
"Uh-I um-
"He fell asleep here because we were hanging out." I said, speaking for Finn because he would of just rambled.
"Orrrr you guys were like, makin out," Ava said, and started doing the kissing face thing.
"Ava!!" I said, and she laughed, as I threw a pillow at her. Finn was smiling, looking at me.
"Wow I've never seen cute boy this up close before." She said, looking at him. Finn looked at me, and smiled.
"You saw him when he came to the front door." I said, and she nodded.
"Well, never this close. You too! I saw you guys cuddling this morning!!" She said, and my mouth gaped.
"I should actually get a lock for my door. We weren't cuddling." I said, and she looked at me.
"Sorry, I need to ask someone who's experienced cuddling before." She said, and then looked over to Finn.
I've never done anything physical with anyone. Even cuddling. I've never even hugged a guy. Besides my dad and Charlie.
Well, if you don't count what my dad used to do.
"I guess you could say that we were cuddling, if you really want to start making assumptions." Finn said, and we both laughed.
"I don't know what assumptions means." Ava said, and I smiled.
I laid back down onto the bed, and Finn followed. Ava moved inbetween us and laid there.
"This is the life." She said, and Finn and I laughed.
"We should go downstairs and watch a movie." She said, sitting up and looking at us.
"Is dad home?" I asked.
"No. He never is. Now get up!!" She said, taking both Finn and Is hand.
-
The three of us were down in the basement, watching a movie that I picked out, because Ava's were too young and child ones.
We were watching click again, and I was sitting next to Finn on the couch, while Ava was sitting in a chair couch.
Finn and I were pretty close to each other-almost touching legs.
"This is my favorite movie." I said, turning to him. He turned to me and smiled.
"Really? I've never seen it." He said, and I smiled.
"It's good. I think you'll like it." I said, and he smiled. I looked at his face, inspecting everything else on it besides his eyes. My eyes flickered down to his lips, but I stopped myself, looking down.
He'd never kiss me, why would he kiss me? I'm not normal.
But I met his eyes again, and he still had a soft smile on him, and his eyes flickered down to my lips.
We were already so close to each other, all we have to do is close the space between us by leaning in.
I saw him leaning in, so I did too. I closed my eyes, because of course I don't know how to do my first kiss.
I felt weight go inbetween us on the couch, making me open my eyes.
"Sorry to bother, but this is a no making out zone." Ava said, and sat in between us.
I smiled, and looked away from Finn, towards the movie again.
After about 5 minutes, I heard the doorbell ring.
"Bri is here!!" Ava said, running off the couch and upstairs.
"Finish the movie yourselves!!" Ava yelled, and Finn and I looked to each other and laughed.
We turned back to the movie and continued to watch it, and I was debating whether to lay my head on his shoulder. I mean, why not? But what if I do it wrong? I've never done it before.
I decided to screw it, and I moved closer to him, resting my head on his shoulder. I was fidgeting with the ring on my finger, and I saw his hand stop them. He took one of them, and he held them, slowly interlacing our fingers together. I felt a little weight on top of my head, meaning he's leaning his head onto mine.
I'm holding hands with Finn Wolfhard. I cuddled with Finn Wolfhard.
I smiled to myself, and we continued to watch the movie.
-
"Hey!" I heard Ava yell, and I jumped, squeezing Finns hand. He jumped too, with the sudden voice.
"Don't worry, I spammed both of your phone with selfies of me, and a couple pictures of you guys sleeping." Ava said, and I smiled.
"Ava where'd Bri go?" I asked her, and she smiled.
"Oh, I don't know." She said, and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Wha-
Before I could finish, I felt cold water dumped onto my head, and I think Finn did too, because we both jumped up, letting go of each other's hand.
"Ava!!" I yelled, and she laughed.
I took Finn upstairs, to the kitchen, and gave him a cloth for his hair.
"Thank you." He said, and I smiled.
He ruffled his hair with it, and it got a lot more attractive.
"Sorry about her." I said, and he smiled.
"It's okay. She's cute." He said, and I smiled.
But not as cute as you are.
"I'll walk you home." I said, and he nodded.
-
We walked to his house, and we saw the ladder that was connected to our rooms.
"Are you gonna take that down?" I asked, and he looked up to it, and smiled.
"Only since I'd get in trouble if I kept it up." He said, and I smiled, looking down as we made it to his door.
"Well, thank you for last night, and I'm sorry about Ava today. And I'm sorry I woke you up too." I said.
"Don't be sorry Millie. Life is too short to be sorry." He said, and we smiled at each other.
"Bye Finn." I said.
"Bye Millie." He said, and walked into his house, and I turned and walked back to mine.
I closed the door behind me and leaned against it, smiling.
"So are you and cute boy dating?" Ava asked, and I smiled at her.
"No, we aren't." I said, and she smiled.
"You totally should." She said, and I smiled.
I don't think he'd want to date me anyway, so I'm not getting my hopes up.
