Millie's pov

It was Thursday, and I was sitting on my couch, waiting for Finn to pick me up.

Ava was up, talking to me.

I noticed she still had the bracelet on, as did I. I got a text, and I saw it was from Finn, so I went outside, getting into his car.

"Hey Mills." He said, starting the car. I smiled, and he started driving.

It was a pretty quiet drive, but I liked it.

"My dad is coming home tomorrow." I said, and Finn raised his eyebrows, and glanced at me, before looking back at the road.

"I never see him. Work trips or something?" He asked, and I looked down at my hands in my lap.

"Sure." I said, and I saw him glance at me again, other of the corner of my eye.

"You can talk to me Mills." He said, and I nodded.

"I know." I said, and he nodded, and kept driving.

We got to school, Sadie looking at us from down the hall and smiling, waving us over to her and the rest of the group.

We walked over there, and they were all talking.

"We were planning on hanging out tonight, because nobody has anything to do." Sadie said and I nodded.

"Who's house?" I asked.

"Mine." Noah said, and I smiled at him. He smiled back.

"Millie and I can meet you guys there, what time?" Finn asked. I bit my lip.

"Around 6?" Noah said, and Finn nodded.

The bell rang, which meant we had a couple minutes before class started, so we went to our lockers and went to our classes.

Iris was in my first class, eyeing me the whole way to my seat. But it's okay, because Sadie sits next to me.

"Hey Mills, how has your morning been?" She asked.

"Good." I said, and she smiled. I think her and Caleb are out of their fight.

"Sorry about yesterday, we do that sometimes. But, I noticed both you and Finn weren't at the table." She said, and I smiled at her and raised my eyebrows.

"What were you two doing? Making out?" She asked, and I hit her arm.

"No, Sadie, that's never going to happen." I said, and she laughed.

"Yet." She said, and we both laughed.

"We don't like each other like that." I said, and she raised her eyebrows at me.

"Didn't look like it on the road trip." She said, and I smiled.

"Okay he's nice. And attractive. But that doesn't mean I like him like that." I said, and she smiled.

"We are getting there." She said, and I laughed.

We pulled into Noah's driveway, coming to a stop.

I had just some athletic shorts on and a long sleeve that was a little long on me. I noticed Finn was wearing a logo T-shirt, with black pants.

We knocked on the door, and he answered it, smiling at us.

"Hey." Noah said, opening the door for us. We took our shoes off, and walked into the living room, where everyone was.

Soon enough, Finn and Gaten were sitting on a couch, Sadie and Caleb on another, Noah on the ground, back against the couch Sadie and Caleb were on. My back was against the one Finn and Gaten were on.

We were trying to pick out a movie, all the lights were off, making me tired. The only light was coming from the tv screen.

They picked a movie, and everyone went to go get popcorn except Finn and I, because Noah is making us some. They turned the kitchen light on, so it got a little lighter.

I turned to look at Finn, and he was fidgeting with Ava's bracelet on his wrist, hands in his lap. His feet were on the ground, knees bent.

I turned my whole body toward him on my knees, folding my arms on his legs, leaning toward him, looking up to him. His eyes widened and looked down to me.

"Do you know what time we are leaving?" I asked, and he looked like he was concentrated on doing something else, but still looking at me.

"W-whenever y-you want t-to." He said, and I nodded, and didn't leave his eyes. He turned to people walking in the room, and shifted his legs, so my arms would come off of them. Gaten was looking at us, smiling. Everyone else came in too, laughing.

"Nice hold Finn." Gaten said, sitting down next to him, and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Shut the fuck up Gaten." Finn said, and everyone laughed, except me and Finn.

"What do you mean nice hold?" I asked, and everyone bursted into laughter, even Sadie. Finns face was getting a darker shade of red.

"Millie do you wanna sit on the couch? I'll gladly move." Gaten said, and everyone was smiling. Looks like they are holding back laughs.

"Gaten no-

I cut Finn off. "Sure, why not." I said, getting onto the couch where Gaten used to sit, and Finn was looking at the ceiling, eyes closed.

"Finn, what did I do?" I asked, putting a hand on his leg, and he jumped up and ran out of the room, and everyone was laughing.

"What the hell?" I asked, and everyone laughed.

I have no idea what's going on. Do I even want to know?

After a few minutes of them talking, Finn came back, and sat down on the couch, next to me.

"You didn't do anything Millie." Finn said, and I nodded, and he smiled at me. I returned the smile, and started to watch the movie.

The movie was at least halfway through, and I was about to fall asleep.

It's a love story. I think. I don't really know, maybe it's a college hook up movie. Who even knows anymore.

I started to watch it more, which I really shouldn't have.

"I dare you to give Jack a boner." One of the girls said to another one, and I furrowed my eyebrows. What the hell of a movie is this?

The girl got up and walked over to jack, where he was sitting. She got on her knees, and put both of her hands on his legs, trailing up.

Wait.

Holy shit.

No, Millie. Don't think that. But it could be true. No, don't.

She started to reach his belt, and that's when they put the scene to everyone else, watching.

I saw Finns leg bouncing up and down in the corner of my eye, and I looked to see everyone looking at us.

"Is this why you guys were laughing?" I asked, and they started laughing again.

I didn't dare look at Finn, but I saw him fidgeting with the bracket on his wrist in his lap.

I got up and walked down the hall, and found a room, sitting down on the floor, back against the bed.

My eyes were darting everywhere, trying to control myself from all of the embarrassment I just put myself and Finn through.

Finn got a boner? Or he was going to? That's why Gaten said nice hold. But then Finn ran away once I put a hand on his leg. Did he get one? Did he not? I mean, why would he even get one, it's not like he likes me.

I heard footsteps enter the room, and sit down next to me. I could identify him by the pants he was wearing.

"I'm sorry." I said, and I heard him chuckle.

"It's fine, Millie." He said, and I shook my head.

"I didn't know. I didn't know that it was like, a triggering point. If that's how you say it." I said, and he laughed again.

"Millie, you're just making it more awkward than it has to be." He said, and I moved my body to face him.

"You aren't mad at me?" I asked, and he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Why would I be mad at you?" He asked, and my stomach did a weird thing. Why is he so cute? I can't do this right now.

"I don't know." I said, looking down.

"Well, now you know." He said, and I shrugged and nodded.

I watched him get up from the ground, and reach his arm down to me.

"Are we good?" He asked, and I smiled.

"Yeah." I said, and took his hand, and he helped me up, and we walked out, back to the living room.

"You two are smiley." Sadie said, and I smiled.

"We love a couple who can talk through their problems." Noah said, and Sadie and Caleb started yelling at him.

Finn and I just sat back down, not even bothering to argue about them calling us a couple.

We pulled into my driveway, and Finn parked the car.

"Thank you." I said, and he nodded.

"Millie, we need to talk." Finn said, and I turned to him.

"I feel like we are closer than friends." He said, and my heart jumped.

"What are you implying?" I asked.

"Well the whole road trip thing really has me thinking things. Sadie and I don't act like this, so why do you and I? You know?" He asked, my heart beating rapidly.

"Yeah." I said, and he took a deep breath.

"Do you have any other feelings for me besides just friends?" He asked, then looked into my eyes.

"I don't really have an answer for that. It's really confusing. Finn, I've never been with a guy before. You were my first kiss. And you were the first person I've ever cuddled with, and the only other guy I've had physical contact with, besides my dad." I said, and he nodded.

"Just let me know if you're ready to talk about it, I'm always around." He said, and I nodded, looking to him.

"What about you?" I asked.

"I don't really have an answer either. I'm still confused about it all." He said, and I nodded.

"Okay......I should probably head in." I said, taking the seatbelt off, Finn coming back into reality.

"Oh, yeah, you should. Sorry to keep you here." He said, and I looked at him.

"Bye Finn." I said, my smile present.

"Bye Mills." He said, a smile present, but a shy one.

I walked into my house, confused about everything that happened tonight.

Especially what just happened.
