Millie's pov

It was already Wednesday. Two days till the dance, that I'm not going to.

I walked into Sadie's car, and she smiled at me, and turning up the radio.

"Have you found a dress for formal?" I asked.

"Not yet, I was gonna go tonight, I wanted you to come with me." Sadie said, and I smiled.

"Okay." I said.

We got to school, and Sadie was in a happy mood.

"Why are you smiling so much?" I asked her, and she laughed a little.

"I don't know." She said, and I just shrugged, and I walked to my locker. I opened it, Sadie talking to me, and there was a picture frame.

And in the picture frame was Finn and I, at my house in the basement, sleeping. The picture Ava took of us. I smiled, and there was a note sticking out of the frame.

I know we like, just started talking, but I was wondering if you would want to go to formal with me?

-Ps, turn around:)

I turned around to see Finn, holding a fluffy and small teddy bear for me, smiling.

"We can just go as friends. If you want to." He said, and I smiled, and put my arms around his neck, hugging him. He hugged me back, I could
feel his hands on my waist, hugging me back.

I turned to my left to see Sadie a couple feet back, taking pictures of us hugging.

I let go of the hug and looked at Finn, smiling.

"Yeah, I'll go as friends." I said, and he smiled.

"Good, because it'd be awkward if you didn't." He said, and we both laughed.

"Aweeee." Sadie said, and we looked over to her, videoing us now. I put my hand in front of my face, and turned back to my locker, to see the picture.

"Thank you for this." I said, and he laughed.

"Thank Ava for it." He said, and I looked down to his wrist, to see that he's still wearing the bracelet Ava made him.

I'm wearing mine too.

"Wait, I want a picture." Sadie said, and I groaned.

"I look terrible." I said, and she looked at me. My hair was straightened, and I was wearing my glasses, with shorts and a long sleeve.

"You look great sweetie." Sadie said, and Finn laughed, taking my hand and pulling me away from the locker that was hiding my face. I took the picture out of my locker and made Finn hold it, while I held the note.

I hate pictures, but Finn didn't mind.

I walked into biology class, sitting down next to Gaten.

"I heard Finn asked you to formal." He said, and I looked at him.

"Yeah, he did." I said, and he smiled.

"So are you guys a thing now?" He asked, and I shook my head no.

"We are just friends." I said, and he nodded.

"Atleast Finn had the courage to ask you. He never makes the first move with girls." He said, and I nodded.

"Yeah." I said, and he raised his eyebrows at me. I laughed and looked away.

"Hey friend." I heard Finn say, as I shut my locker.

"Hey." I said, and we walked to lunch together.

"So what color?" He asked, and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"What color for your dress and stuff. We need to match." He said, and I smiled.

"I'll let you know tonight." I said, and he smiled and nodded, as we made it to the lunch table and sat down next to each other.

"Hey, so guess who I asked to formal." Gaten said, and I raised my eyebrows in interest.

"Who?" Sadie asked.

"Liz." He said, and we all 'awee'd. I always shipped them. He always talks about her in biology.

"We should all meet up at someone's house." Sadie said, and I nodded.

"We can meet up in the middle of Millie and Is." Finn said.

"Okay." Sadie said, and she smiled at me.

A few minutes later, my phone buzzed on the table, and I picked it up, a message from Sadie. She sent the video of Finn asking me to formal, and the picture of us. And a picture of us hugging. I looked over to her and shook my head, smiling. She smiled back.

I got home, and Sadie was with me, because we just drove to my house right after school.

"Wanna go now?" Sadie asked, and I nodded.

"Hey Millie, hey Sadie. Where are you two going?" She asked me, and I looked to Sadie.

"I got asked to formal, we are going dress shopping." I said, and she smiled.

"By who?" My mom asked, and I smiled.

"Finn." I said, and her smile widened. She knows Finn, she's talked to his parents before, and they've met before once.

"That's cute. He's a nice boy." She said, and I nodded.

"We are gonna go now." I said, and she ran over to her purse, and then came back, giving me her credit card.

"Nothing over $300." She said, and I smiled.

"Thank you." I said, and she smiled, as we left to Sadie's car again.

We got to the store, and Sadie was looking for a dress.

"I think I'm going with like a white or silver dress." She said, and I nodded.

I started looking at all the dresses, but only one that I saw had my eye the whole time.

The dress went a little above my knees. It was a navy blue-ish color, and the sleeves were styled a different way most aren't. I liked it.

"Millie, I found one!" Sadie said, running to me with it.

The dress was longer than mine, going down to her chins. It was a white dress, it was see through in the leg part up to her thigh, and there was silver lining along it. It was really pretty.

"Oh my gosh, yours is so cute." Sadie said, and I smiled.

"Same to yours." I said, and we smiled.

We got the dresses, and Sadie dropped me off, and waved bye, and she'd see me tomorrow. I walked in, and my mom was in the kitchen.

"Can I see the dress?" She asked, and I smiled.

"On Friday night." I said, and she gaped her mouth. I laughed, and gave back her credit card, going upstairs.

I showered and put pajamas on, and brushed my teeth and hair. I laid down in my bed, and I looked over to my dresser to grab my phone. Next to it, was the piece of paper of Finns number.

Maybe I should text him. He gave it to me a while ago.

After about a minute of thinking about it, I grabbed the paper and put his number in my phone, and putting his contact name as Finn.

Oh, okay. And it's okay, haha.
Finally decided to text me?

                                                                    Yes. :)

I set my phone down and smiled, and went to bed, trying to get some sleep tonight.
