Best and Worst.
Why did I make this chapter? Everyone will hate me, but love me for one part.
Millie's pov
Friday was basically a blur, except when Ava's party started. She's 7 today.
Finn is coming to it, and his family. Ava invited them.
She set it all up with her theme, pink and purple. It's cute.
It's not a big gathering, but not a small one either.
The doorbell rang, and I walked over to get it. It was Finns family.
"Hey Millie! Long time no see." Finns mom said, and I smiled and greeted all of them. The parents went into the kitchen, leaving Finn and I there.
"I can give you a tour of the house." I said, and he smiled and nodded.
I showed him the basement, then the middle floor, then we made it to the top.
We were walking down the hallway to my moms room, and he looked at the walls, and he furrowed his eyebrows. He knocked on it, hearing the sound.
"Did they soundproof these?" He asked, and I looked down.
"Uh, Yeah." I said, and he raised his eyebrows at me.
"Shut up finn, not for that reason!" I said, and he laughed. I smiled when we walked into my room.
He smiled, and looked around.
"Pretty." He said, and I laughed.
I heard my mom call from downstairs.
"Millie, your father is here!" She said, and my smile dropped, and Finn looked at me.
"Whatever you do today, please don't talk to my dad." I said, and he furrowed his eyebrows.
"Just please, don't." I said, before he could say anything.
"Got it." He said, and I smiled, and we walked out of my room, and walked downstairs, my dad making immediate eye contact with me, then behind me, to Finn. He made a look.
Oh no, he probably thinks we were doing something. Please god, no.
"Millie! Come here!" Ava yelled, already pulling Finns hand. She took us into the dining room, only us now.
"Millie, do you think my birthday wish is going to come true?" She asked, and I smiled.
"I bet it will," I said, playing along. She smiled, and looked to Finn, then back at me.
"Promise?" She asked.
"I promise." I said, and she squealed, and ran out. I made eye contact with Finn.
"You know what it is?" I asked him.
"No. She said it has something to do with me." He said, and we shrugged.
We walked out, and he walked into the kitchen. Of course, the only other person in there being my dad.
I stayed behind the wall and listened. Finn, don't talk to him.
"So you're Finn?" I heard my dad ask. God damn it.
"That's me," Finn said, and they both chuckled a little.
"You friends with Millie?" My dad asked. My heart beat intensified.
"Yeah, we are close." He said, and I shook my head. Finn, you're making it worse on me.
"Do you have any intentions with her?" My dad said, making my eyes widen. Fuck.
"She's a pretty girl, but we only like each other as friends." He said, and I heard my dad reply with a hm.
"So what were you doing upstairs?" My dad asked, and I slid down against the wall.
This is going to be horrible. He's going to kill me.
"Oh, she was just giving me a house tour. You have nothing to worry about, Mr. Brown, I assure you." Finn said, and it made me smile a little.
"Do you know where she is by chance? I haven't gotten to talk to her." He said, and my heart skipped a beat.
"I think she's in the dining room, last time I saw her." Finn said.
"Thank you son," My dad replied, and I heard footsteps walking the other direction. I walked into the kitchen, and Finn was just chilling there, and he saw me, and furrowed his eyebrows, confused of why I'm upset.
I grabbed his hand and pulled him down the hallway, into an empty room.
"What's wrong?" He asked, and I looked at him.
"I told you not to talk to him." I said, and he furrowed his eyebrows.
"What's wrong with it? Well, he talked to me first, so I couldn't not reply. He seems pretty nice." He said, and I paced.
"Key word, seems, Finn! Oh my god, I'm dead. I'm officially done for." I said, and he furrowed his eyebrows.
"Wait, how did you know I was talking to him?" He asked.
"I was listening." I said.
"So you heard me call you a pretty girl." Finn said, and I smiled at him, him smiling back.
I let it drop out of force.
"That isn't the point. I told you not to talk to him. I'm so dead. If you don't see me anymore, you'll know why." I said, and he furrowed his eyebrows.
"He won't be that mad that you're friends with a guy. He's nice." He said, and I turned to him, stopping my pacing.
"Nice? Nice? You don't know him, Finn. You don't know him." I said, and sat down on the bed, breathing quickening. He quickly sat down next to me, and took my hands.
"Hey, look at me. Look at me." He said, and I finally turned to look at him.
"You're okay. Look. We are fine. We are sitting here, nothing is wrong? Am I not right?" He asked.
"You're right." I said, and he smiled.
"Let's go, Ava is doing her cake." I said, smiling. We let go of each other's hands, walking out and into the dining room.
Ava saw Finn and smiled, putting him on the end of the long side of the table, because she was the center of it. I sat across from Finn, and Ava was at the end of the table.
The only other girl was Bri. And the adults, standing around the table.
Ava grabbed Finns arm and made him lean to her so she can whisper in his ear.
He raised his eyebrows and his eyes widened a little, looking up to me. She leaned back, and he looked at her.
"You're sure you want that as a birthday wish?" He said lowly. I can still hear you, dummy.
She excitedly nodded her head yes, and he smiled, and looked at the table.
The cake came and the candles were lit, and everyone was singing happy birthday, and she smiled, and blew out the candles after the song.
My mom cut the cake, and we all just talked and ate cake.
-
It was about 11:00 now, Ava got to stay up late with her friend. The Wolfhards were outside with my parents, and Finn and I were on the ground in front of the fireplace, I had a blanket around me. We were facing each other, talking a lot.
"It's 11:00, shouldn't you be sleeping?" I asked him, and he laughed.
"I don't go to sleep till like 2." He said, and I smiled.
"Fortnite gamer." I teased, and he pushed me a little, making me laugh.
I heard giggles coming from the kitchen, and I rolled my eyes and smiled.
"So what was Ava's birthday wish?" I asked, and a smile grew on his face.
"I can show you." He said, and I raised my eyebrows.
"Where?" I asked, and he smiled.
"You have to close your eyes." He said, and I smiled.
"Okay you can't get mad, because it's her birthday wish." He said, and I nodded, and closed my eyes.
"Are you leading me there? Or-
I didn't finish my sentence when I felt a pair of soft lips pressing up against mine.
My eyes opened in shock, but I closed them again, putting my hand on the side of his face.
His lips pressed a little harder against mine, and I did it back.
That's when I heard giggles again, and we both slowly broke apart, and turned our heads to Ava and Bri.
"Ava!" I yelled, and they laughed, running upstairs.
I turned back to Finn, and we both smiled.
"Strawberry?" He asked, and I laughed and hit his arm.
Okay, we are definitely, not just friends anymore. There has to be something there.
That's when I heard the door open from the back porch, the parents coming in. Finns mom turned to us and smiled at Finn, gesturing him they were going.
"We are all gonna go out for a little, Finn will you be okay at home by yourself?" His mom asked, and I smiled.
"Yes, mom." He said, and I laughed a little.
"Millie, I'm dropping Ava and Bri off at bris house, and meeting the Wolfhards out. Your dad wants to stay here and catch up with you." She said, and my smile dropped.
The parents were talking for a second, and Finn looked at me.
"You'll be okay here?" He asked, and the obvious answer was no, but not for anyone else. They can't see the pain I'm hiding underneath me.
"Yes." I said softly, and he nodded.
"Call me." He said, letting go of my hand, which I didn't even know he was holding. Butterflies exploded in my stomach, as he left.
-
Soon enough, everyone was gone.
I walked into my room and was about to close the door, but I heard him. He opened the door, looking at me.
"Hello Millie." He said, and I looked down.
"Hi Daddy." I said lowly, and he closed my door locking it.
"Are you letting another guy touch you?" He said, my heart beating even faster.
"No daddy." I said, tears welling into my eyes.
"Don't lie to me, Millie." He said, gripping my wrist so tightly that I think that he's going to leave a bruise.
"I swear daddy." I said, making sure my tears don't come out.
"I don't believe you. Why would you lie to me, Millie. I saw you kiss him." He said, and my eyes widened, and I looked at him.
"Daddy, I-
He stopped me by grabbing my neck, and throwing me against the door, his fingers digging into my throat.
This is the worst he's ever been. I can't breathe.
Good thing my window is closed. He closed the blinds.
He let go of me, letting me catch my breath, then taking me to the bed.
"Since you're so grown up, I'll teach you how a real man does it." He said, yelling the so.
"Daddy, please don't." I said, but he didn't. He was holding me down with one hand, taking my clothes off with the other.
He took them off, and he started to feel me. Everywhere.
He slid my underwear down, and I already knew what he was going to do, because he unbuckled his belt, and zipping down his pants.
Too bad nobody could hear me screaming. I was screaming, as loud as I ever could. It even hurt my throat to scream so loud and so much.
After a while, he held my neck, choking me.
"If you scream one more time, I'm going to make it worse." He said, and my eyes widened, and I just closed my eyes and let the tears fall out of them, listening to the creaking of the bed, and oh how badly it hurt me.
-
He got up.
He got up to go to the bathroom. He's been laying there for a while.
Now is my chance to leave. I don't have a lot of time. But I can't run out in my bra and underwear.
I look at the white fluffy robe hanging up on my door and run to grab it, my legs starting to hurt.
I put it on, and ran downstairs, and realized I left my phone upstairs. I heard the sink running. No time to go back.
I bolted out the door, and ran for the only place I thought was safe, Finns house.
I knocked on the door loudly and repeatedly, hoping he was still awake.
Tears were pouring out of my eyes at this point, also hurting to walk or speak.
He opened the door and saw me, and widened his eyes as he saw what I had on.
"Close your eyes." I cried out, and he closed them, and I walked in, shutting the door.
He opened them, but turned his back towards me.
"What's wrong? It's 1 in the morning?" He asked, and I cried.
"Can I please turn around?" He asked, and I checked myself, and rolled my eyes. Who even cares anymore, he's seen me in a bathing suit, I'm in a robe. I have a bra and underwear on under it anyway.
"Fine," I said, and he turned to me, not looking down at me again, only at my eyes.
"Can you tell me what's wrong?" He asked, and I shook my head and cried more. He pulled me into a hug, which I returned.
-
I was sitting on his bed, crossing my arms. He was sitting in a chair at his desk.
"Can you please give me some clothes at-least." I said, and his eyes widened, like he didn't even think of it.
He went to his drawers and looked through his clothes, and gave me a black shirt with basketball shorts.
"Come on, you'd look cute." He said, and I smiled and rolled my eyes, turning him around. I took my robe off and put the shirt and shorts on, and looked at myself in his mirror.
"I look like a hobo." I said, and he turned around to me and smiled.
"Cute." He said, and I sat down on his bed.
"Can you tell me what happened?" He asked, and I felt tears well into my eyes, causing me to start crying immediately.
He hugged me, and I hugged him back, for a long time.
We slowly switched our position from hugging to laying on his bed, my head on his chest. I felt his hand around my waist, secured there.
"My dad." I said, and he moved his hand from my waist to my back, rubbing it back and forth.
"I've never told anyone this." I said.
"Take your time, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Finn said, and I took a deep breath.
"He started touching me when I was little." I said, and Finn stopped moving his hand on my back.
"He what?" Finn asked, starting to sit up, but I just pushed him back onto the bed.
"Finn, he's never gone this far." I said, starting to cry even more. Finns hand moved to my upper back, comforting me.
"What did he do Mills?" Finn asked softly.
Don't tell him, Millie. Don't tell him.
Your dad, he knows you're here. He knows you are telling Finn. He knows, Millie.
"Stop." I said, sitting up, covering my ears.
"Stop, not now! Stop!" I screamed, and Finn got up to, putting an arm around me.
"They won't stop telling me things." I said to Finn.
"Don't believe them." He said.
Believe us Millie. He doesn't want you to believe us, because he is going to do the exact thing to you what your father did.
"No! Stop! He's not like that!" I yelled, standing up, covering my ears even more.
They went away.
I sat back down, crying even more, and Finn pulled me into a hug.
"I think he raped me." I whispered, and Finns body went stiff.
"Rape?" He whispered back, pulling out of the hug, our foreheads touching.
"Yes." I whispered back.
"That's serious, Millie. He can go to jail for that." He said, and I just stared at his lips.
"My mom always told me to be careful. Not to talk to strangers. Not to ride in a car alone. Not to get into some strangers car. But it all didn't matter, because it ended up being my own dad." I said, crying, and Finn pulled me into another hug.
"My mom was raped too. That's why she's so nervous about these things." I said, pulling out of the hug. Finn looked at me like I was a whole new person. I don't blame him, I never share anything like this with anyone.
"Were you alive?" He asked, and I closed my eyes.
"She got raped when she was pregnant with me. She was kidnapped for two years." I said, and his eyes widened.
"How does nobody know this?" He said, and I shook my head.
"She doesn't like to tell anyone." I said, shaking.
"So you were kidnapped with her? At age 2?" He asked, and I nodded.
"My dad changed after that." I said, and he looked down.
"Millie, you need to tell the police about your dad." He said, and I shook my head.
"He'd kill me. Literally." I said, and he shook his head.
"He can't kill you if he is in jail." Finn said, and my hands started shaking, which I tried to stop.
"I need to think about it." I said, and he nodded.
"Can I stay here?" I asked, and he nodded.
"We have a spare room, if you don't feel comfortable with sleeping with a guy." He said, and I smiled.
"I want to sleep with you." I said, and he nodded.
We got into bed, and he held me, as I tried to go to sleep.
Mrs Wolfhards pov
(Lmao I know I'm extra)
"Bye, have a good night," I said to Mrs. Brown, as we got into our house. Eric went upstairs, already, and went into bed. I took my coat off and walked upstairs, to see Finns door is closed.
I do my usual check in, to see if he's asleep. He usually is, he's a good boy.
I open the door and peek in to see a girl in his bed. It looks like Millie.
I smiled, and looked at how they were sleeping. Millie's head was against his chest, and her arm that was slung over him was connected with his, and Finns other arm was around her, his hand moving in circles on her back. I heard Millie sniffle.
I guess Finn is still up.
I quietly closed the door, and walked into Eric and I's room, and he was laying in bed.
Finn with Millie of all girls? That's so adorable, I love Millie. Finn just better be good to her.
"What took so long?" He asked, and I smiled.
"Millie's sleeping over." I said, and he smiled and raised his eyebrows.
"Finn got a girl?" He asked, and I laughed.
"Leave them be Eric." I said, and we went to bed.
