20

It wasn't for another hour until Yoongi waltzed back through the wooden door of the patio as though nothing had happened. The sweat on his hair was nearly dry, and his clothes had been put back on properly so there was no hint as to what could have possibly had him so occupied. First to greet the man was Jimin who was sitting on the table with Taehyung folding the clothes Hoseok had left behind.

"They've been worried for you, asshole."

"What you call me?."

"An asshole."

Yoongi turned his head at last to face Jimin before going into the house. The boy was clearly still upset at his failed actions from earlier. Yoongi could only rejoice in the fact that he had succeeded in gaining pleasure for himself. He chuckled at the boy before heading into the kitchen where Namjoon and Jin were stationed.

"Heard you were looking for me."

A pot flew past Yoongi's head. He looked back at it before at Namjoon's angry face.

"Looking for you?" Namjoon repeated angrily. "I have a whole damn army out there looking for you!"

"Army? You mean Jimin who happened to look at the door when I walked in?"

"No." Jin shook his head. "He means Jungkook and his bird friends."

Namjoon looked at his partner defeated before focusing back on the runaway who was unfazed by him completely. He wanted to say so much, but clearly just couldn't. He'd become enraged just by looking at Yoongi that the words failed to come out from fustration. The past hour had been spent worrying that he had not wandered off and been found by someone who shouldn't have. There was still the threat of them being found so having one of the runaways disappear without notice wasn't something they could have, not yet at least.

Instead of arguing with Yoongi, Namjoon handed him a bowl of fruits which had been separated for him then asked him to get out of his sight. With that being said Yoongi found that his next source of entertainment was outside where the rest of the ex-prisoners were. He headed there just as Namjoon began ranting to Jin about just how irritated by him he was.

Outside still folding clothes was Taehyung, and sitting on the table while he did was still Jimin. The crazy had changed shorts and washed his knees of the blood they had last been stained with. Yoongi dragged over the bucket had had sat on before leaving. They trailed off their conversation when they noticed the new presences was for once interested to hear what they had to say.

Did you get hit on the head or something?

"No, I'm just bored." Yoongi said with a bit of a sigh as he picked around his bowl for a purple grape. "What are you guys up to?"

Jimin's eyes narrowed before turning his head away from Yoongi's direction. He wasn't the happiest at the moment, and for some reason the man's face irritated him more. It was like he sensed something he should be jealous of from him, but just didn't know what. Instead of continuing to anger himself he looked back to Taehyung who was focused on making sure the collar of the folded shirt of was perfect before carefully placing it with the rest.

"Why?" Yoongi asked all the sudden.

"Why, what?"

"Why are you happy acting so domestic? You just got out of a prison and you're spending your time folding someone else's laundry? Isn't there something you wished of doing while you were trapped in your cell that you can do now?"

Taehyung smiled softly. "Well my mother use to make me fold her clothes so this reminds me of her. I enjoy it."

"Yes, but is there anything you wanted to do while you dreamed of your freedom?"

Taehyung put his hand flat on the pair of jeans on the table. The two crazies watched him closely think of an answer.

"I want to go to a party."

The two were taken back by the answer. That was all? That couldn't be all they thought. Yoongi chuckled and Jimin giggled for both assumed they were being played a game with. However, the half alien just looked between them with a pitiful look that inclined them to trail off with their amusement.

Jimin put his hand on the male's shoulder and leaned in with an intrigued expression. "You are joking, right?"

"You have to be." Yoongi piped in.

In fact, there was no joke in Taehyung's wish. He was half an alien living among humans. While he lived in a quiet suburban town with only his mother, he was not really allowed to branch out to do what most humans did. He attended school like most normal kids, but he didn't really have friends. He'd speak to a few kids from class here and there, but lunch consisted of only himself. The weekends were only him helping his mother and sometimes just him when she'd find entertainment with her own friends. It wasn't that he didn't want friends, it was just he couldn't seemed to be liked. He was an odd ball, he knew that yet he couldn't even fit in with the weird kids at school. He always thought the reason for that to be because he was the literal definition of a freak.

Due to the limited acquaintance, Taehyung never got the chance to attend a high school party, or any at all. He wanted to feel the adrenaline rush that came with the loud pumping music as one dances with a hot random stranger found on the dance floor. He wanted to experience being sweet talked by a someone he would most likely have no memory of the next day. That was another thing he wanted do, drink acohol. The most he had ever come close to was sneaking a drink from his mother's glass while she used the bathroom. His tongue tasted perhaps a drop before he hurriedly put it down because he heard her coming back.

"I want to go to a party." Taehyung responded. "I want to dance, drink, and make friends. I want to act like a full human. I want to make the stupid decision that what makes all of you, but half of me would make. I want to dance with a stranger, listen to music so loud that my ears hurt from it, drink substances that damage my insides, I just want to be careless teenager for a night."

Taehyung was a few years past his teenage years, but that was nothing something that would stop him. Yoongi halfheartedly snickered before nodding head. Jimin rubbed the boy's shoulder with a sinister smile.

"We'll show you a good time, right Yoongi?"

The two crazies looked at each other with smirks on their faces. Oh they would most definitely show Taehyung how to have a good time. They two were perhaps the most qualified to do so.

The special moment was ruined when their attention was caught by that of a screeching bird. A red-tailed hawk that landed on the forbidden door. The bird's hazel colored eye darted between the men before it took flight to the table where the clothes was. No one moved, nor did they stop it from pecking at the pants set flat on the surface. Slowly Taehyung pulled them off, the entire time his eye meeting that of the bird's. He followed it to the fence where with its head he motioned to the other side. The cloth was thrown to the other side and with it went the bird.

The three males stayed put even after they heard the loud panting that emerged all the sudden from the other side of the fence. It took about a minute before the wooden door was opened to reveal a sweaty Jungkook with only the jeans that had been thrown overboard. He stumbled in only a feet or two before tripping over his own two and residing on the ground.

Jungkook struggled to breathe just the slightest bit. He called for water which only Taehyung reacted in giving him. He ran inside, leaving the freak with the two crazies. Yoongi looked to Jimin who was already looking at him. As if they read each other's minds, they both rose to their feet.

"W-What a-are—" Jungkook tried speaking, but the toll of his shifting had yet to pass. He laid helpless on the ground as the two men he felt he should fear came down to their knees on either side of him. Their heads pressed against one anothers as they looked down at the boy.

Jimin's hand came down to push away the bangs from the boy's face.

"You make a cute bird." Jimin complimented.

"What else can you make yourself into?"

Jungkook's eyes showed the slightest bit fear as he looked up into the motivated ones of the crazies in front of him. He was about to call for help for he felt that he was going to need it when Taehyung returned with Jin. Immediately Jimin and Yoongi rose to their feet to get away. They came to a stop at a pillar as the other two assisted the recovering boy.

"I've never come across a animalshifter who could be more than one animal."

"That's because they're not supposed to exist."

"What do you mean?"

Yoongi pointed his finger at the odd boy whose existence should not be. "He's an abomination among abominations. I heard of many experiments that were done in trying to create a shifter who can do it all. All of them died."

Jimin recalled learning when formally meeting Jungkook that he could not shift into all animals, at least he hadn't shown the possibility just yet. However, if he could do more than one why couldn't he do them all?

"Let's test him."

"Test him?" Jimin repeated.

"Yes, test him. He claims he can only do some, but not all. I just think he hasn't been put in the right situations to shift into different forms. Think of how much help he can be without limit."

Perhaps it was a crazy idea to push a boy whose limits were unknown, but who could tell crazies that their new idea was too crazy?
