An hour of anxiety, the moment awaited and unprepared for came so much quicker than desired by two men. The doctor and his patient stared at each other, admiring what they had chosen to wear on their first day out into civilization together.

The doctor had chosen to go on the lighter side of the color spectrum with a light pair of pants accompanied with a cardigan that matched his other choices well. The mad man on the other hand wore all black except for the single white logo on the cap of his hat.

"Okay," Jimin breathed out,"what are you going to be doing?"

"Nothing..."

"And?"

Yoongi forced a very awkward smile. "I will stay by you and not glare at people."

Jimin congratulated himself for having gotten the message clear to his patient at last. It had taken half the time of the hour to get Yoongi to even consider repeating back, let alone to agreed of doing as asked. It was not ideal that they'd be forced out of the home unlike how the doctor would have wanted, with the mad man unready to do so. Regardless, the situation called for them to go out because Jimin had been so careless to not do so.

The two men made their way back to the vehicle where they sat in silence until they were out of the wall that kept them with every other resident. Music at a moderate volume filled the ears of both as they took a road with few other cars to head into the city. Tall buildings and cursed air slowly infiltrated each of the senses of those arriving.

"This is where we're going?" Yoongi asked upon seeing the sign indicating the location.

Jimin nodded. "Yes but don't worry, we won't be walking about much."

As much as the doctor would love to go around shopping or walking about a park, he knew it wasn't possible with the patient. Yoongi came from a small town before he spent very little time in a place where it was more busy. He moved away from the place he grew up in when he turned nineteen and made it to a city not too far from where they were currently in. Where they traveled now was much busier and filled with all different sorts of people. The buildings went so high up it made one wonder just how those in it weren't scared of standing so up there.

"If you ever feel overwhelmed you let me know Yoongi."

"I won't."

To the respond, Jimin made a mental note to keep look out for any signs of discomfort in Yoongi as the day progressed. He continued on driving in a route in which he was sure there was more cars than people walking among the streets. It frightened him the slightest bit that in seeing certain behaviors from others could cause Yoongi to have some sort of an unwanted reaction. At last they arrived into a part of the city in which it was not so packed with people. The two stood in the parking lot for a minute while Jimin announced his arrival to who awaited in a phone call.

With it being the first time out into society after many years, Yoongi looked about. The cars that shone under the sun's light seemed all the more interesting than they had ever. However, he found most interesting was the people who walked around them. One woman caught his eye. She was in a bright red coat that was hard to miss. He watched her closely as she packed bags into the back of her car, looking distressed.

"No staring at people either."

Yoongi darted his eyes elsewhere just before being instructed to follow. He stayed close to his doctor but not enough where the man could see that his eyes had gone back on the woman. They were nearly out of the parking lot when the same woman, now in her car, met eyes with Yoongi again. They kept interlocked for only a mere second but that on it's own was far too much. When she finally left sight, the mad man went back to seeming uninterested by everything else.

The pair entered into a small shop decorated in brown aesthetics. Wooden floors covered the flat surface that was the floor. Murals covered the white walls that entrapped soft music. Chatter filled reached ears and a sweet smell to noses. The two walked in and went straight to the corner where a man was sat, a woman besides him.

"Jin!" Jimin cried out once close enough. The said male looked up from his drink and stood. He brought the doctor into a hug before situating himself in front of the mad man.

"Dr.Kim, good to see you again."

Jin smiled. "There's no need to lie to me Yoongi."

It was indeed the truth that the mad man had spoken a lie so he couldn't help but smile before shaking hands with his old doctor. They took a seat, the woman introduced herself.  She appeared almost as tall as Jin himself despite she not standing. Her short curly raven black hair was pushed behind her ears. Black square-like glasses sat on her nose and brown eyes stared from behind the lenses. She held her hand out to introduce herself to both males for she knew neither. Dr.Clyde Dean, head of the medical department in which Yoongi was held. She had been prescribing medicine to the mad man for the longest time yet it was their first time meeting.

"Never thought I'd meet the one who was keeping me awake."

Dr.Dean smiled. "And I never thought I'd come to see the one I was keeping alive either."

An odd tension took over the table of four, it was unexplained. The woman and her patient stared at each other as though they passed a message through only eye contact. He was not thanking her in any way, if anything he was upset with her. She on the other hand, in a way said 'you'rewelcome' despite knowing clearly that he was not thankful for her doing.

"Anyway," Jin changed the topic of greetings, "I called you here because I overheard you took him out a lot sooner than intended. The medicine you have for him is wrong."

"You don't want something that's keeping him all too calm if you're trying to unlock...some sort of reaction from him."

At the woman's addition, Jimin looked to Yoongi. He thought all this time that the man's calamity was simply part of this personality. Now he was coming to learn that it may not all be part of him, chemicals could be contributing. He was aware that the medicine he had been giving him had part to do with his behavior but never it was told to him that they were keeping him completely what could be so unlike himself.

"You want a reaction, then get them off those and just give him these." Dr.Dean said as she set on the table a white bag with a bottle inside. "There's instructions there along with my phone number in case you need help with anything."

Jimin thanked her. She stood at last and excused herself from the table. The woman claimed to be going to get herself a drink for on the go so no one was keen on paying much attention to her or so she though until she kept a presence right behind her. She stopped herself at the line before reaching the counter.

"May I help you Yoongi?"

The mad man stood so stilled behind her that if she hadn't notice him walking before, she wouldn't have ever. He stepped forward to be at her side.

"I want to know why the hell you've been keeping me alive." He said. "I've been pronounced a lost cause, why would you dare waste your time on a waste like myself."

The dark lipstick on the woman's lips were the only indication to Yoongi, who was not looking straight at her, to know that she was grinning the slightest bit. It could not be told if it was a genuine gesture but the tone of her voice suggested it just might be.

"Because Mr.Min, I believe that you are anything and everything but a waste of time."

Dr.Clyde Dean is not based particularly on any idol just so that's clear.

Hope you enjoyed!
