Splashes of lovely colors which were enough to be spoken and used to identify a certain person filled the most important room of the building. The glass serving as walls exposed the busy city that surrounded the company. It was lovely in the sense that it meant life was well and striving below. However, above there was a welcoming reunion with movements seeming dead. Two males, partners of crime in the old times, put arms around each other with still bodies. One cried while the other enjoyed the tears shedded for him.
"It's been so long."
"It has hasn't it, Hope?"
The name had not been muttered in so long that who use to be addressed by it was almost not going to respond to it. Red hair clouded the vision of the mad man as he used his hand to push strands around. Hoseok became entangled in a mess that was his emotions from seeing who was really superior to him. The boss in the room wasn't the rich man but the insane one. The two pulled away to take in what was the same of one and different of the other. Yoongi put his hand on Hoseok's cheek.
"This has changed."
The face of the old friend was not as remembered. It was like all the features of the male had been altered the slightest bit. The cheekbones seem to rise higher while the nose lower. Despite the different face, Yoongi could still see the brother he had in it. The real man behind the fixtures still shone through.
"So has hers."
"I know Hope, I know. It's a shame, even if you beauty still plays at your face. You don't look so much like that sweet boy I left behind almost ten years ago. How's my little brother been?"
The two sat on the sofa in the corner of the room. In the room they became locked as Hoseok told his big brother what had happened with him since the last time they'd gotten to see each other. The time in which they previously witnessed each other had been about seven years ago before Yoongi disappeared completely. Hoseok as well as their other partner of crime, had moved on to something better. No more was there looting on behalf of his side for he now owned it all.
"I married a rich woman." Hoseok told Yoongi. "We met at the place you and I always did. She was lost so I helped her. I took your words and made something of her Yoongi, I brought myself up in the world."
"And then you killed her?"
The mad man's words pierced the air with a sense of claim like he knew what he spoke was true despite having no proof. It was like he had eyes everywhere despite having been buried deep under in a cell during the time of the happening.
"Not exactly."
"You had her do it, I know. She's to do my dirty work not yours Hoseok but I will not blame you all too much. You've secured a place for yourself, but what about her? Is Suran rotting in some prison for your benefit?"
Hoseok shook his in the struggled that was to stutter to a no that it wasn't true what the mad man thought. The woman, their other partner, was well. Suran was now a woman who did not look like she had since Yoongi had last seen her. The acquired wealth was not only for Hoseok, he had not turned greedy like most of the rich. He helped his friend, he helped her rise too. Now Suran lives comfortable with a new face hidden somewhere among the common.
"I kept the promise."
Yoongi smiled, genuinely. "I'm glad."
The two joined once again in an embrace that connected them as they were once. The contact made them feel as though ten years had not passed and they were back to their early youth. As Yoongi kept the skin of his friend's against his he remembered the times in which they had promised to meet again seven years ago. It was the night before Yoongi would be taken, they all knew the time for his long departure was at hand.
"Look after each other because I won't be able to." Yoongi had said to his dearest and only friends. "I cannot watch for you where I am going so be there for one another. When the time comes we will be together once more but for now hide away with the common, the sane. Become like them, do what I can't seem to do and stay safe."
They kept that promise and Hoseok the one he'd made separately. He was unsure how in the time he'd do it but he did it. The male manage to find Yoongi and did as he said he would. He told his big brother he'd be where his favorite color was. The red on his hair was the result of that promise.
"I want to see her." Yoongi said as he broke their hug. "Where can I find her?"
"It won't be so easy. She's married now and living just outside the city in a suburban area. I can try finding out her address for you to get there."
Yoongi shook his head. "Now I can't. I'm not exactly free, Hope. Jungkook's friend Jimin is a doctor, he was the one that got me out of the prison. He was suspicions of bringing me here, to a city near, meaning going out of it will be harder to lie to him to do. The doctor thinks of me more of a pet that can do whatever it wants in hopes to get better but he knows better than to bring me so far. You need to get her here."
Hoseok agreed to do what he could. They decided to end their reunion there. It had been just about the time it'd take for helpful information on the project to be given so they returned as to not rise any suspicion. There was a promise to meet again, not an exact date was said, but soon. They stepped into the office in which the two males in it were far too into each other to almost not notice the presences.
"It was a pleasure working with Yoongi, I hope you bring him about more often Jungkook." Hoseok said all the while completely ignoring the bright red face of his employee that has been caught romancing. "I'll be needing you to deliver a gift to him once I've prepared it."
Yoongi thanked his friend as though they weren't and watched him leave before turning his complete attention to something he had not liked seeing upon entering.
"Let's go, now."
The mad man made sure that his defying glare reached both set of eyes in the room before he turned on his heel to march out. There was a demand for him to wait but he did not obey it. Yoongi got as far as the elevator when Jimin rushed into his vision. His face was still bright red from embarrassment but also perhaps a bit of anger.
"You can't just do that!" Jimin cried out once the door closed.
"I can do as I please."
"No you can't!"
"Want to test that?"
The doctor was far too outraged to even think to answer the question. He was not worried, the one in suppose charge, although he should have been because it was he who the mad man spoke about regarding his power.
