Saiki Pov

The new girl is weird. I can't read her thoughts. She doesn't seem like an idiot though. And for some reason, my x-ray vision didn't work on her either so I could see her skin, her clothes, her hair. Usually, I could only see what other people looked like through other people's thoughts. But she was clear as day.

She smiled a lot. She'd glance over at me in class with a smile and a weird shine in her eye. It was strange. Maybe she was some type of super idiot. Either way, it was really confusing and I didn't feel like figuring it out yet.

Haido Pov

The new girl Y/N is amazing! She's super nice and smart! She seems a bit lonely though. Now that she's our friend, I'm going to do my best not to let ber be lonely!

Nendo Pov

Y/N is buddy. Ramen. Nice.  (Imma probably make him smarter than this. but for now, it staayyys)

L/N-chan seems super nice! She's really pretty. I'm glad we're friends. We are friends right? Anyways, I can't wait to show her my snack stash!

Tch! That new girl didn't adore me near as much as she should've! I know,! She's just so awe-stricken and jealous her reaction was delayed! After all, I'm the perfect girl! I'm pretty on the inside and the outside!

Kaido Pov

Y/N. She must be a member of Dark Reunion. I must keep an eye on her! If she isn't a member I must make her into my ally. She seems strong. And pretty. She kept smiling at me. Of course, she smiled at the others too, but she smiled at her enemy! I must find out the truth.

Normal storytime.

I stretched as I walked out of the building. School here at PK was boring. In fact, my new friends were the most interesting things here. I walked home and changed before heading back out. I needed to get food and clothes. I enter the busy marketplace and look for a food store. I see one nearby and walk in.

I browse for basic food items, fruits, bread, deli meat, a few canned things, and a box of my favorite treat. My arms were bagged up and I sighed. It wasn't heavy or anything but still. I exited the store and raised my eyebrow as I saw Saiki staring through a window of a dessert shop. He was looking at an array of coffee jellies with an intense look.

I walk over. "Hey Saiki!" He turned with an indifferent face. "Ouch, cold much?"

'No, just don't care. Plus you interrupted my thinking process. I'm trying to get the best deal on coffee jelly.'

I snigger. Coffee jelly had to be his favorite treat. I walked into the shop and bought three six-pack coffee jellies. I walk out and place them in Saiki's confused arms.

"Why?" 

"Because you tolerate me. I like your ventriloquist trick. Very impressive." I turned and walked away, tapping into his thoughts.

'She can tell I'm not moving my mouth? Everyone else's minds are tricked into it... she really is strange. Getting me coffee jelly because I 'tolerate' her? How did she know I liked coffee jelly?'

I chuckle and glance at the sun. I'd have to go clothes shopping tomorrow. I hurry home and put the groceries away, making a sandwich and heading to bed. 

Waking up was always like a slap in the face. Many thoughts suddenly streamed into your mind, images of dreams from people still asleep blurring together and giving you a headache. Sometimes being a psychic sucked.

I showered and changed. I was glad today was Saturday. Starting school on a Friday was a good idea. I slip on my shoes and walk out, locking up behind me. I needed to go clothes shopping and get a job today.

I enter the marketplace once more and head for a nice looking clothes shop. I pick out a couple of t-shirts, tank tops, and flannels, as well as jeans and leggings. I made sure the jeans actually had pockets. I hated fake pockets.

I was once again bagged up. I started walking home to drop off the clothes. I spotted a familiar group. It was Saiki, Nendo, Kaido, and a purple-haired kid. Images of people I couldn't see flitted through my mind as I read the purple kids' mind. Huh. Looks like he's a medium. 

"Hey, Saiki, Sky blue, Nendo, stranger! What a coincidence to see ya here today!"

They turn around and I wave, smiling. Nendo ran over and draped an arm over my shoulder. I laughed. He was such a kind guy, even though he looked like a delinquent. "Buddy!"

"Hey, Nendo. How are you today?" Nendo grinned.

"Me and buddy are going to get some ramen!"

'No, I was dragged out of my house. And I'm not your buddy.'

Wow. Saiki was one cold bastard. I also noticed it was easier to tap into his thoughts. It didn't take long to swim through the jelly-like barrier. It was fun listening to him try to figure me out. I look over at Kaido who was glaring at me.

'I still can't figure out if Dark Reunion sent her.'

I chuckle and wave at him. He blushes, realizing he had been caught staring. I look up at Nendo. "Ramen huh? Y'know, I can make a good pork ramen. Why don't I make some for you sometime?"

Nendo looked like a kid on Christmas. I smiled and bid them goodbye, gesturing to the bags in my arms.

"Aren't those heavy?" The purple-haired kid asked. I shook my head. 

"Nope. Light as a feather." He raised an eyebrow. 'She has to be trying to be strong. Those look like they weigh a lot. She's pretty too. Maybe I have a chance!'

Ah. He's a flirt. And probably a pervert. I shake my head and say goodbye again before heading home. I drop the clothes on my bed and head right back out. I needed to browse available jobs. Nothing big, I didn't want to become noticed.

I saw a small shop nearby that said 'Items.' I walk in and see common items like pencils and some construction tools. I walk up to the counter and tap the little bell. A blond man walked out from a back area.

"What c'n I do fer ya?" He had a heavy accent. 

"I was wondering if there were any open job slots?"

His eyes narrowed as he examined me. After a few minutes, he nodded to himself. I couldn't read his thoughts, but he wasn't psychic. I noticed a ring on a necklace around his neck. Geranium. Of course.

"Yeah, I could use someone ta man th' counter while I work in th' back. Be prepared missy, this job c'n get purty strange."

I smile. "I'm all too familiar with strange. I'm Y/N."

"Cid. Ya c'n start early t'morrow." I nod and walk out of the shop, noticing a black-haired girl jump onto a roof. "Yuffie! Git back in here!" 

'Ugh! I wanna go find Leon and Soraaa!' "Fiine!" She waved at me.

How do people not notice this weird stuff? Well, normal for me, but still!
