Chapter 31
Alyssa's P. O. V
Angie drove us quickly to her mother's place, hands trembling. This was a major case so I understood why she looked like she looked like she had seen tons of ghosts.
The house looked so tattered from the outside as the environment did too. The house was placed in an extremely quiet neighborhood and I figured that was why no one wanted to buy it. One could sense danger from just looking at it.
I held Angie's hand trying to comfort which I'm not good at and she squeezed mine back. I could see the tears tempting to pour out of her eyes.
"We'll find the truth Angie"
"Let's go"
As we walked closer to the house I felt worse like my brain was going to pop open. There was definitely something inside the house.
Without wasting much time we walked into the building. There wasn't any lock so it was easy to enter, then the whole place was so dark and the place was just too dusty almost as tattered as the environment.
"Where do we start from? ", Angie asked me. I looked around and made a mental note to carry a torchlight everywhere I went should in case we were in this kind of condition again. I squinted to scan the room and fortunately it unfortunately my eyes caught something.
"Let's go there", I said to Angie pointing at the door at the far end on our right.
We walked over to the door quietly and it was locked. That didn't make me shocked anyway.
"Step back Alyssa"
What was she planning on doing?
At first i thought she was going to try her muscular strength..which she doesn't really have....
But then she didn't. She brought a hair pin from her hair. I stepped closer to see the magic she wanted to perform with her hair pin. This made me reminiscence about my best friend in school, Sunshine, she told me she had used her hairpin to open up her mom's room to steal chocolate and I didn't believe that was possible.
I watched carefully as Angie unlocked the padlock though she made few struggles she was able to open the door successfully. Instead of meeting a room we met a staircase. "What's a cellar doing in this house", Angie murmured to herself.
Then she turned to me. "Are we sure we're gonna find something down there?"
I was pretty sure but Angie's tone sent the chills down my spine. "Yes"
We walked down the stairs. The further we sent the darker.
"I don't have a good feeling about this Alyssa"
Who had good feelings about dark rooms? "Let's just keep going", I bluntly replied and silently thanked God she didn't oppose.
"Aaaarrrgggh"
"Alyssa!"
Too late. I had hit the ground hard face planting to it. I tried my best not to scream out in pain but that turned out unsuccessful. Angie was beside me in seconds.
"God no! Alyssa we have to get out of here now! "
"I... I...dont think I can move." I think I had hit my ribs hard too.
"Shit." Being a nurse wasn't really helpful at this point because there was nothing around this place that could really help.
"Don't move Alyssa I'll be right back" she warned. I didn't have any reason to move and even if I wanted to that'll be as good as killing myself so I didn't move. Lying on the floor still in pains my hand touched something. I was in pain so I couldn't read it properly but I read the important part at least. The truth that my mom was adopted as a kid.
Angie ran back to me in what felt like hours. "I haven't seen anything that'll help Angie let's get out of here", she lifted me off the floor and I screamed in pain still clutching to the paper I had found.

"Are you feeling better Alyssa?", Angie asked me. I looked around and realized I'm not in the creepy house and not in the hospital too.
"Where am I?"
"My house but we'll be leaving now anyway."
"To where?"
"The hospital and don't argue with me miss." She added that as if knowing what I wanted to do.
"But we already settled that we'll go to Louis' house first. "
"Don't argue with me kid." she silenced me. Okay I was now a kid.
"NO. "
"What do you mean no?"
"I'm not returning to the hospital with you. If you're worried about me I'm fine."
Angie sighed and rolled her eyes tossing me a light box. "Check that out so you'll see we've done enough for today"
I saw a picture of Angie and her parents all cute, a divorce paper and legal adoption papers from my mom. It made more sense now. I searched for the paper I was with previously to add up to all this.
"It's in your pocket. I've seen that too"
Oh...
"Fine let's go back to the hospital." She smiled at triumphantly not knowing my intentions.
"Thank you for not arguing further", she kept smiling at me. No, she really didn't....
She got the box and placed in her closet before locking it up but then something dropped from underneath the box like it was stuck to it all along and I knew Angie hadn't seen that particular piece of paper. I got up from the bed and picked up the paper to read it and having Angie joining me to read it. There we saw two of one person.
"What?", Angie said asking no one in particular and I could tell she was about to freak out.
"I can explain this but promise not to freak out."
"Fine Alyssa please tell me and release me from my confused state."
"Okay. This...", I said pointing to one of the lady..."is your mom and that is her clone", I said pointing to the second lady that looked exactly like the first.
"How do you know this Alyssa. Even I don't know."
Really? Was that important?
One thing about Angle was that she doesn't really focus on the important stuffs at the right time.
Totally ignoring her question I went on. "Angie do you realize what this means?"
She snapped back to being the very confused Angie shaking her head. "It means your mom cloned herself and my mom killed the wrong person thinking she was killing the correct person."
Not like that was really a person anyway.
Thankfully Angie didn't freak out but she was white in the face well I wouldn't say her face was far better than mine at this point. First Angie's father was a bad guy with a good heart. He made a mistake marrying twice his evilness and the bitch decided to love another person which ended up being Louis' father that we were yet to see. Angie and my mom kids then were brainwashed into believing complete trash. These were too many secrets to keep. What was wrong with this people???!
Trying to stop Angie from crying because that is simply not what we needed right now I went over to her and held her hands. I'm not a good comforter.
"It'll all be fine Angie. Soon enough. Please don't cry."

Louis' P. O. V
I worked all the day trying to think hard about carrying my Master's wishes. He had instructed me to kill a family member, Blake. The guy was a faithful guy although gay I still got along with him but soon he began to realize the family wasn't actually a family with good things like a normal family and began cursing that we were cults. He angered the master and was now wanted dead. Poor him.
I hated blood but I was a merciless killer and Nala could testify to it. Nala was loved by all in the family but had refused to take instructions so she had to die. She was the one in my fridge back at home and I'm sure she'll be happy to be replaced. I smiled thinking about that.
But I wasn't too happy my master had been dismissive about the matter I had brought to Alyssa saying that he'd take care of everything himself. He only gave me the permission to bind her powers so I planned on using that as a great advantage.
