To War!

The trio traveled to Hoax, where Saturn learned the problem. Tempesta and Onyx silently watched the sky as they waited.

"Nera?" He hummed as he glanced at his friend. "What will you do with the Black Monster?" He hummed.

"Probably take revenge... but I also don't know what I'm up against yet either." Onyx hummed as he looked at the sunset before Saturn called out.

~~~
Onyx stayed inside while they clashed with the enemy army. Of course, someone gave the duo some struggle.
A giant named Lapis.
Saturn was slammed into a wall before Tempesta's sword sparked to life. He slashed at the giant to the best of his abilities before another blade pushed between them. Tempesta jumped back before a rather familiar voice filled his ear.
"Lookie here." Everyone looked up to see someone flying above them. Tempesta was frozen while black dots filled his gaze. Was this- no- "From the core of the dragonborn, release from your cage, Red-eye!" Tempesta blacked out as flames roared to life.
~~~

"Nera!"

The merc groaned softly as he sat up. So he wasn't dead, which meant that wasn't the Black Monster. He shouldn't be alive if that was the case. He smiled faintly at Onyx as he got to his feet.

"I'm alright. Is everyone else ok?" Onyx frowned.

"Are we talking physically or mentally? Because except for you, everyone's physically ok. Do you remember what happened?" Tempesta paused.

"I remember blacking out... Why?" Another voice answered while Saturn's voice followed.

"That would be my fault."

"Don't swap targets!"

Onyx sighed as Tempesta looked over, seeing the person that saved him from the Dragon. Slowly taking his time, he went over as Saturn growled at her.

"What does that mean?"

"She attacked you."

"'Attacked' is a little extreme. All I did was awaken a hunch."

"You caused him to black out."

"That typically happens the first time."

"First...?" Onyx finally went over and assisted him as Saturn continued his argument with the mysterious woman.

"After you blacked out, something made you push the enemy out of the fort. A lot of flames hit. You collapsed afterwards." The mysterious woman smiled (and ignored Saturn) before bringing out a stone, which glowed a deep indigo. Tempesta paused before realizing what this was. It took him a moment, but he was able to pull out a similar stone, this time glowing a burning red. Saturn fell quiet as the mysterious woman spoke.

"I knew something felt off when I saved you from that dragon." He paused as she glanced at the stone. "The Red-Eye Dragoon. I knew it was somewhere." He closed his hand as she chuckled. "I'm not going to take it. After last night, I doubt it'll be coming with me." She pocketed her own stone and smiled. "It's good to find another."

"Another...?" She paused before sighing.

"My apologies. I forgot to introduce myself. Then again... you ran off before I could tell you anything." She pushed her hair back before straightening up. "Moonstone Krarvam. Wielder of the Dark Dragoon and Master Rapier of the Dragoons. Good to see a second after such a long time." Onyx spoke after a moment.

"Wait, you mean you haven't seen another Dragoon recently?"

"Not really. About 11000 years ago." The room fell quiet as she hummed. "Yeah... I took many risks going for this long until I could find others. But now I see there's hope." She hummed as she glanced at Saturn. "And I saw your skills with a spear. No one else has shown such experience except the Spearman of the Dragoons. That was an experienced spearman." She faded off before glancing at Onyx. "I never saw you in combat... but there's faint rumors about you being an excellent shot." Saturn scoffed.

"If you include shooting from horseback to knock another guy off his ride as excellent." Onyx shot this look at the knight as Moonstone hummed.

"I've seen some good shots. That's a new one for me. But the best so far is hitting a moving target." She sighed before turning to Tempesta, who had pocketed his stone and was lost in a thought. "So... The enemy army holds an alliance with the dragon." Saturn paused.

"I've heard about that. How are we supposed to defeat a dragon?" She smiled as she brought back out her stone.

"We give it a taste of its own medicine. Dragoons hold the power to rival Dragons. How about it?" Tempesta made no sound as he looked at the ground. He hadn't really thought his father's stone meant much. But this was different. He finally spoke.

"Alright. It'll... help." She smiled as she pocketed her stone.

"Alright. Let's go. We have work to do."

~~~
Saturn and Onyx watched the duo Dragoon as Tempesta tried to figure out what he was doing. Moonstone chuckled as she flew above him before racing behind him which made him panic a little. He deformed as she sighed.
"Well, you have the basics. And you at least know to watch your backside."
