To the Waves of Infinite Lies.
That night, nera scanned the night sky before someone neared him.
"Worry keeping you from sleeping?" He turned, seeing what he originally thought was Onyx. It took his mind a second before he realized that the person was wearing a different outfit from Onyx. Not only that, but they had a much softer tone. He sighed before looking at the sky again.
"Yeah. My best friend is trapped by someone and all I can do is pray I can save him." The person sat down next to him and gazed at him.
"What's your friend like?" He scanned the person. This had to be Obsidian, Onyx's twin. They acted very much alike despite being far away.
"Well... he's caring, always choosing life over death for enemies. Knew how to spook people if they tried to act like they were better than him. He could keep my storms in check easily." Obsidian scanned him as he paused.
"That sounds a lot like me. The winglies here tell me I had a brother that is said to mirror me." nera stayed quiet before Obsidian spoke. "Your friend wouldn't happen to be that brother, would they?" nera glanced at him.
"You two look identical." A shade of red crossed the other male's face. "So unless your brother isn't a twin to you, I would have to say yes." He then looked to the sky. "I just hope he's ok. He's a good kid and is the only one who can keep me at bay." Obsidian smiled as he looked up at the moon.
"I'm sure he is alright. If we are as identical as they say, whoever has him will be getting threatened here soon." nera smiled softly at the thought.

After getting teleported to the Home of Gigantos, they made their way to the kingdom of Fletz, hoping for some help going to Rouge. nera's head was lowered as he thought about Onyx. Hopefully he was ok. The others assured him that he would be, but he couldn't shake the feeling.
Upon arriving, the royal family let them know that the Queen Fury was waiting to take them to Rouge. They waited on the ship before Moonstone paused.
"Did anyone talk to Obsidian?"
"Were we supposed to?" A lot of looks were shot in Frost's direction, who vanished instantly. The merc hummed.
"I did. I think." He looked up at the sky. "It wasn't much." Midnight hummed.
"Better than nothing." A hum followed as they arrived. Cedar took a deep breath as they got to shore.
"Ce-" He silenced Moonstone before looking at nera, who narrowed his eyes. The merc simply kept walking, almost ignoring the menacing aura that was basically coming from the elder. They got up to the school before nera frowned.
"Ooh... look at all the lazy people in the school. I should go find Master Cedar to tell-" He ducked from a kid throwing a blast at him.
"Master Cedar doesn't like tattletales, Tempesta!" A hiss followed as Cedar watched over the arguments. Midnight giggled.
"Someone's hiding from his students." The others seemed to chuckle as Cedar silently made it to the desk near the back, scanning a piece of paper. He then spoke, spooking the room.
"You know, if I was the one here full time, some of y'all would be in the ocean for your attendance records." Squeals followed as the master storm was flocked, questions being thrown out quickly. The others went over as Cedar quickly dealt with them before sending them home. He then sighed before Frost spoke.
"Missed the past?"
"Always."

Upon entering Aglis, Midnight froze.
"That's... what he meant."
"Huh- oh-"
Apparently, Blue's "Parents" were merely robotic creatures who kept saying insults. Midnight winced when the "father" kept muttering about Blue's lack of magical potential. Pearl gulped.
"Yeah... we know where he didn't get his manners from." Midnight sent an aura pulse over the two bots before his face fell.
"They used to be alive. And from what I sense, they were crueler then. Now, all they can do is mutter the insults passively." nera blinked.
"Wait... when you say passively-" Midnight nodded.
"They were violent to Blue. Which wouldn't surprise me if Blue didn't kill them to shut them up."
They continued forward, searching for anyone alive. Moonstone winced as she saw something racing past her.
"Hey!" They paused as the figure slammed into a wall. The person whimpered as the group ran over.
"Ow- that's not transparent-" Midnight healed them before nera and Pearl helped them to their feet. "Sorry for spooking you. Welcome to Aglis." The male scanned them. "Are you lost?" Moonstone gulped.
"Just seeing if anyone was alive." The male smiled.
"We lost a lot of civilians. The catastrophe was bad." He sighed. He then scanned them as Midnight paused.
"What... catastrophe?" The male paused.
"Why don't you come talk to Savan? He'll tell you."
~
The male, who they learned was X, the Wingly that Blue saved from the dare, led them to Savan, who was watching something in the mirror. He nodded before X introduced them.
"We... were wondering about the catastrophe-" They paused as Savan beckoned them over, showing them what he was watching. It showed Blue, who was thankfully alive and in hiding.
"There is the source." The others paused. "When threatened in Vellweb, he returned, scared, to try and get help. People threw insults instead and it resulted in a huge bloodshed to escape the pain." He hummed. "I gave him a sense of calm. Somewhere to heal." He turned to them. "I watched you save him. Open him up and make the scars be shown. He's a good kid underneath and I thank you for getting him back on the track of calm." He then sighed. "I'm sure you are here for the Signet. Let us go."
~
X teleported them to safety with his evac, leaving Savan in the aftermath of the destruction. Moonstone gulped.
"Blue will be heartbroken when he hears about this."
"His heart has already been tainted." They glanced at X as he landed them in Zenebatos. "You'll make sure he gets to Ulara safely, right? I'm heading there to wait." Midnight smiled.
"Yeah. I'm sure he's waiting out for the final battle. We'll bring him home." He nodded before taking off. Midnight gulped. "Alright. Let's keep going."
