Tatum

T A T U M
(Tay-Tum)

"Mr. Kingston, would you like to tell all of us what is so funny?" Tatum looks forward to his teacher with a grin on his face.

"Why Ms. Ruiz, no I would not." He says, hardly containing his laughter. His friends surrounding him are all snickering, making his grin grow even wider.

His teacher gives him a disapproving look, before commenting on how he ought to pay attention.

He simply shakes it off and goes right back to joking around with his friends. Tatum Kingston is that annoying boy in the back of the class surrounded by his friends, causing a ruckus.

He is the boy who you roll your eyes at, but can't help love.

Tatum sends Stacy a wink and she blushes a red color. Tatum thinks Stacy looks quite adorable when she blushes, and always goes out of his way to make her do so.

His attention however, is pulled away from Stacy when his friend Biggs throws a piece of paper at him.

Biggs is Tatum's best friend if boys admitted to having best friends. Tatum likes Biggs better than his other friends, but he will never say it because he doesn't want the guys to think he's gay or anything.

"You ready for tonight's game?" Biggs asks, ignoring the teacher. Tatum rolls his eyes. "Of course I'm ready for tonight's game, Idiot. I'm the captain of the team. I have to be ready."

"Whatever. Which girl are you gonna take home afterwards?" Immediately Tatum's flit towards Stacy. Did she hear that?

Luckily she didn't, as she is too occupied with texting someone, her phone hidden under her desk. Tatum looks back towards Biggs. "Er, I don't know about tonight, man. What girl haven't I taken home?"

A feeling of shame falls upon Tatum as he says this, but he pushes it aside. Biggs laughs. "I don't know, man. Why don't you get on it with Stacy. I've seen you eye her for a while now."

Tatum tries not to blush, but he can feel his ears start to burn. "Man, shut up. And what about you? Still gonna ask my sister to wear your jacket? You can ask her, but you sure as hell ain't taking her home with you."

It's Biggs turn to blush." Man, I would never. I respect her too much to do that." Secretly Tatum is happy it's his best friend that is trying to date his sister, and not some of other sleazy guy he knows.

But Tatum isn't about all that mushy stuff, so he's gonna act tough.

"Anyway, Stacy really isn't up for that kind of stuff you know? She's more of a relationships type girl. Not a one night stand girl."

Which Tatum doesn't think there is anything wrong with that. It makes her even more attractive, knowing that she's looking for the type of companionship that doesn't revolve around sex.

Biggs teases him some more until the bell rings, signaling the end of class, and the end of school as it is the last class of the day. Tatum gets up and starts walking out of the class, Biggs chattering excitedly beside him.

He heads toward the boys locker room before Biggs yanks him back. "Aye boy, where you going?" Tatum raises a perfectly sculpted eyebrow (he gets them done, but don't tell anyone) "Um, to talk to coach about our game tonight."

Biggs rolls his eyes. "No, right now you are going to ask Stacy if she will wear your jersey tonight. As your unofficial wingman, it is my duty to help you get some tonight."

"I told you that Stacy isn't into all that." Tatum wines. "She's not that kind of girl."

Biggs rolls his eyes. "Yes, I know. But even if you don't get laid tonight, I'm still laying down the foundation for it to happen. With some girls you have to run the bases to make a touchdown."

Tatum snorts. "You do realize you mixed two sports together, right?" Biggs shrugs. "Yeah, but you play both sports, anyway."

Tatum frowns. "Well, what if she says no. That would be embarrassing." Biggs chuckles. "Trust me, man. She won't turn you down."

"How do you know? It's freaking Stacy Evans, the prettiest girl in school." Biggs make a face. "I mean, yeah man, she's cute, but not the prettiest girl in school. That's reserved for your sister."

Um, ew.

"Listen," Biggs says. "You are Tatum Kingston. You are kind of a big deal around here, and you are afraid to ask a girl to wear your jersey to the game. She'll say yes. And hey! Even if she doesn't, there are a ton of girls who would look at you and willingly go anywhere with you."

Tatum narrows his eyes playfully. "What's will all the comments about how I look? Got something to say to me, Biggs? I know you have the hots for me, but sorry, I don't feel the same."

Biggs makes a barfing motion at Tatum. "Uh, no man, that is kind of gross. You're like my brother!"

Tatum snickered.  "So if we weren't so close, you want to get with me, is what you're saying." Biggs shrugs. " I mean yeah, you're pretty good-looking."

Tatum rolls his eyes at his bisexual friend. "You're stupid. What does my sister see in you?"

Biggs grins, "everything."

➖➖➖➖➖

Tatum knows what he is doing, because he knows how to play the game. A wink here, a charming smirk there, and a lip licking smolder can get you into any girls graces and make her melt.

So, why is he so nervous about Stacy? She's just a normal girl. Even as he says those words, he knows they aren't true. Stacy isn't a normal girl. He likes Stacy.

He likes the way she tucks her hair behind her ear because she hates it in her face. He likes the way she smiles- a full on grin with pretty white teeth set behind a row of pink lips. He likes the way she furrows her eyebrows during math, and how she isn't a cheerleader, and is clumsy as hell, but still comes to all his games to cheer the team on.

He really likes Stacy, but he won't tell anyone that. Especially not her...at least not yet. She, along with everyone else-including Biggs, thinks he is a player.

He is a player of many things, yes. But not of girls at least. How can he be? He's never done anything with a girl other than heated make out sessions.

No, he is a player of many things, but sex is not one.

He pays girls to say they had sex with him. And in return the get money, slight popularity, and the ability to come up with some great story telling about wild sexcapedes.

His friends and peers think he's a man slut but he's a virgin with a lot of kissing experience.

He hates to admit it, but he's a prude. He want to wait for the right girl. Maybe not till marriage, but for a girl he thinks is right.

He hates that he cares so much about sex, and that he can't be like his friends who just do it because they can, and because it's fun.

Don't get him wrong, he isn't judging his friends, or think that is wrong, he just isn't like that. Sex is something.... special he guesses. He just can't get himself to do it with anyone. Trust him, he's tried.

But! His friends will think he is a wimp, a pansy, a girl. And he is none of those things, no he isn't. So, he lies. And he pays girls to act like they had sex with him. Or, he makes up stories of college girls he's been with. It's believable since his twin siblings are both in college.

It works, and that is all that matters. He refuses for them to know he is such a prude.

Hey all! So, how do you like Tatum?
I like him a lot, and I've been debating on creating a little story on him alone with tan to fifteen chapters. It would have him, Biggs, Stacy, and a few others. I dunno. Perhaps I will create mini stories about a few other Prude characters like Nali, or Karlie, or Saleen (because I really Saleen, and she's a great character and I've already got a really good plot for her) so, who knows. Writing those mini stories, however, isn't a top priority, and I need to finish my other works.
Also, I want your Prude one shots if you any! There isn't really any requirements or deadline. As long as it follows the story flow, uses the word prude at least once, and has a character that is degraded or looked down upon for their non-existent sex life.
So yeah! Ok
Love Lottie
