Home? (Chapter Three)

Still Alaya's P.O.V

I smiled faintly as they started to walk towards me.

I almost dropped my luggage; I was so excited to see them. I ran towards them, maybe a little too quickly. My eyes widened and I slowed down. "Oops... Sorry..." I began apologizing. "For what?" The older female, Sabine, as I was told back at home, questioned. I just stared at them weirdly. "F-For... For running..." I could tell they thought I was crazy, due to the fact that they started laughing. "Oh sweetie, it's okay. You can run all you want!" I looked at the ground, processing this. But at home I was told that I shouldn't... A proper lady shouldn't run unless her life depends on it, right?

My thoughts were interrupted by a hand set on my shoulder. I turned my head and saw the younger female, Marinette. She was smiling, calming down from my earlier apology. The male, Tom, spoke up. "Let's go home, okay?" I nodded my head excitedly.

(time skup to the bakery brought to you by Mr. Clean)

When we walked in the bakery, my nose was filled with so many wonderful smells, causing me to smile widely. "It smells so good in here." I said, looking around. "It looks amazing in here too!" I complemented. "Thank you, Dear." Sabine smiled before speaking again. "Marinette, why don't you take her to your room? She must be exhausted after her flight, plus I'm sure she'd love getting rid of her bags." Marinette nodded, walking upstairs.

I followed slowly, making sure to take in my sightings. We walked up through a trapdoor that lead to an amazing room. I set my luggage on what she had said was my bed and sat down, looking around. I caught notice of one part of the room that was covered with photos of a blond haired, green eyed, actually really cute guy. I smirked. "Who's that?" I pondered out loud. She looked at me. "Who?" I continued my smirk, pointing to the wall. "Is he your boyfriend?" She blushed. "Wh-what?! Nooo... I mean... Yeah... I mean... No......" I giggled. "Yes or no, Juliet?" Her blush grew deeper. "S-sadly... No. I wish, though." I laughed, standing up and getting closer. "He is cute..." My eyes widened. "Is that Adrien Agreste?!?" I looked back at her. She nodded.

"You know him?" I walked back over to my bed and sat down. "Not personally, no..." She nodded. "Oh."

"I wish though! He's my role-model!" I giggled. "Pun intended." She muttered something that sounded something like 'You sound like Chat.'

"Who's that?" Her eyes widened. "Wh-what?" I shrugged. "Who's 'Chat'?" She gave me a nervous smile. "N-no one!" I rolled my eyes. "Is he your boyfriend?" I bit into an apple I had grabbed from downstairs. She just rolled her eyes and gave me a disgusted look, crossing her arms and leaning back. "No, are you kidding me? Never! Anyway, he's a superhero. He saves Paris and stuff." My eyes widened again. "A superhero?!? That's so cool!" I overcame a sudden realization before rolling my eyes again.

"You're kidding, aren't you?" She just kinda sat there. "No way! It's true! Seriously! There's some weird butterflies and the can 'akumatize' you when you get upset! And if you do, then they save you! No joke!" I held up my hand, stopping her. "They?" She nodded "Chat Noir and Ladybug!" Oh.

I giggled. "I dunno who they are, but... I sooooo ship them!!!!" She was kind of confused, but I didn't pay attention. "Anyway..." She sighed. "Before you say anything, we have school today. I know that kinda sucks, since you just got here, but..." I honestly wanted to go to school. "That's fine!" I said cheerfully. She looked at me questionably.

"I was homeschooled for my whole life... It meant less rescheduling... There's a lot of reasons why not..." I didn't wanna get into it, so like every normal person, I changed the subject.

"So when's school start?" She checked her phone. "Fifte- Fifteen minutes?!?!" I watched her scramble to get dressed.

"You look fine!" I said, looking at her in her pink jeans and white tank top. "Yeah, but it's not 'school - appropriate.'" I shrugged, putting a denim jacket on her. "There." She smiled at my attempt, taking off the jacket and putting on an over shirt before putting her own jacket on, slipping on flats. She looked me over. "What?" I asked, looking at myself in a mirror.

I was currently wearing black knee-high boots that covered the bottom half of my dark blue skinny jeans, which were adorned by a black rhinestone belt. My shirt was a dark purple with green paw prints, complemented by a black leather jacket. My long black ombre hair was put into a sloppy braid, and from its resting point on my shoulder, it went down to my stomach. I had refused to get it cut when I was young, and continued to refuse to get it cut to this day. It was so long that when it wasn't put up, it went past my butt. I sit on it a lot, but I love it. So does Mother.

"Nothing." She replied to my earlier question, snapping me out of my 'studying'. She put on a pink purse, and from the corner of my eye, I could've sworn I saw something red fly into it. I shrugged, thinking it was probably just my lack of sleep (I spent 7 and a half hours on the plane last night) playing tricks on me.

"We should get going." She said, walking downstairs. I followed. We said goodbye to her parents, her kissing both of their cheeks and them pulling us into a big hug. I smiled at the warmth... It had been a while since I had been hugged like this by... Well, anyone in a long time. I sighed contently. We stayed like that for a while before Tom giving both of us a croissant, and with that, we left.
