Mission 25

Polly looked at me, tilting her head.  Are you sure?  Are you just avoiding the question?"  "I'm sure.  If I was avoiding the question I would have said no and been done with it." "She's not lying." Liv said, plopping down a huge pile of clothes, and taking a quarter for herself.

"Okay. I'm gonna get some for myself. You'll tell her how she looks?" Liv nodded, and Polly skipped out into the hallway.  "So, want me to make these into outfits?"  I nodded, and Liv separated my clothes, so I could put them on.

When I was finally done trying clothes on, and Liv was on her last outfit, Polly walked in with a cute furry dress with a hood attached.  I ended up with half the original clothes. I had a wool hat with black and green stripes, and black mittens. I also had an emerald green dress with long sleeves and furry lining. I also got a few pairs of thick black sweats, with a bright green sweatshirt.

I got a bunch of long sleeved tees. One was green with a golden serpent winding around it. We went to a cute little cafe afterwards, for coffee and streusel.  Polly had hot chocolate. The food was delicious. I almost thought I was loosing my aversion to sweets!

We then returned to the hotel room, and Josh was glaring at us. "How does it take so long to shop for a few winter clothes?! We're starving! We were waiting for you so we could get breakfast!" Josh whined.  "Polly glanced at Liv.

"Well we were shopping a long time, but we stopped for coffee and streusel afterwards." Emil laughed.   "I told you we should have gone without them."  "I could eat again."  I offered.  Liv nodded in agreement.  So we went to a small cafe, and I ordered eggs and bacon while observing the other's clothes.

Polly was wearing the pale blue dress she had just bought.  It had golden fur that framed her her face, thick red curly pigtails over her shoulders.  Liv was wearing pink sweats and blue tennis shoes.  Emil was of course wearing a suit, but with a jacket this time.  And Josh was wearing a red teeshirt with a hot dog on it and jeans.  "How are you not cold, Josh?"  I asked.  "I don't know.  I never get cold."

"Oh." I said, a bit confused.  Our food arrived, and Liv, Josh,  and I scarfed ours down, while Polly played with hers, not taking a single bite, and Emil, politely are his, with perfect table manners.  "Polly, why don't we bring your french toast home."  Josh said when everyone was done except Polly.

She nodded taking a huge gulp from her water glass. We had the food boxed up, and went back to our hotel. "What do you want to do?" Polly asked, jumping up and down, hyper. I guess we could go to an amusement park?" Josh said. "No!" I yelled. "What?" Liv asked, surprised at my outburst.

"I mean no thank you." I replied, sort of ashamed. "Why!!!" Polly whined. "I'm afraid of rides.  I found out when I went with Porter."  "Oh..." Liv replied. "Why do you not like Porter?"  I asked them.  "What!  I don't not like anyone!"  Polly cried offended.

"I Believe you Polly, but no one else seems to like him."  "We don't not like him..."  Josh tried.  "I can lie ten times better than you without batting an eyelash, so don't even try lying to me.  I can tell."
