Mission 21
I sat on the plane next to Polly. I hadn't wanted to, because although I loved Polly, she- Wait, wait, wait, loved? I did not love Polly. I did not love anyone! Although I liked Polly, she would talk the entire flight. Emil was sitting with Josh, and Liv was with a stranger.
I would have sat with her, but Polly said she couldn't sit alone, but Polly and Liv had both already sat down. "Here." Emil handed me some earplugs. "You'll need them." I nodded in thanks, and sat down. "I'm bored."
Oh no. I was prepared for this. I had anticipated this scenario. "Here." I gave her one of the impossible puzzles were were required to work on every night at my old HQ. They kept our logic up.
Polly fumbled around with it, while I watched a movie on Josh's iPad. He had a phone too. This kept her busy for a while, until take off. I switched off the iPad, and she dropped my puzzle to stare out the window. I picked it up. "Polly, do you still want this?" "No. It was getting boring anyway."
She had the attention span of a child Emil's age! When she was done staring out the window, Polly turned to me. "I'm bored. Wanna play a game? Emil brought cards! We could play Crazy 8's or War, or Egyptian War, or Old Maid, or Garbage, or Golf, or-" "Or we could play shut the heck up." I interrupted. "I don't know that game."
"No you really don't." "You could teach- wait a minute... Hey! That's not nice!" I laughed. "I am not nice." "Yeah you are. We could play something else though-"
"Oh look at that! It's getting dark! We're so close to the stars!" Polly spun around to look out the window, and I plugged in my headphones, and turned on some music. I then pretended to be asleep. "Hey! It's not dark out. It's the middle of the day!" Polly whined. "Oh. She's asleep. She must have thought it was actually night."
Polly pulled out her iPad, and began to play games. I turned my movie back on, and began to watch it, but I fell asleep in the middle. I didn't know it was possible to fall asleep during a horror movie. But I guessed I really hadn't slept last night. I woke up during landing, when it was actually dark.
"Polly wake up. It's time to transfer planes. Polly yawned. "Okay." We stepped out of the plane, and waited in the airport for our plane. When we finally arrived in Germany, it was two in the morning. We entered the hotel, and the bored looking receptionist said, "Sorry, we don't give rooms to minors." in terrible English.
"Wir arbeiten für die Regierung geben uns ein Zimmer. Jetzt!" I said, in perfect German. She scowled, as Liv flashed something at her on her phone. "You're on the website Amegal*... So what?" Give me that!" Emil changed something to show her what she needed to see. "Stay off that cite! What were you doing?!" "Just curious." She said, shrugging her shoulders.
*Sorry if I spelled that wrong. I have never used that cite, and I don't plan on it.
