Mission 20
We marched into their boss's office. "Can I go on missions yet? I asked, straightforwardly. "Yes. I've given you a mission, guarding what I believe to be the next targeted babies. "Do you accept?" "Yes." I said, and the rest of my team nodded. "Then head to the Library for your case file." We went to the library, and Emil read the case file aloud to us.

Mission Time: Now
"This doesn't work. My master doesn't take sick babies. That was supposed to be my proving mission. Since he doesn't have me, they will have gone somewhere else." Polly rushed off to tell her boss, while we sat in the library talking. "How can you be sure?" "Overheared him talking to his secretary. Twice." "Okay, so you're very sure. Where will they go next?" "Um... It's around time for my master to shake you off his tail, and make a new pattern, about three randoms, so I'd say here, here, then here." They stared at me. "Are you kidding me?" "Australia?" Liv asked. "Germany?" Emil squeaked. "Paris?" Josh gawked. "Can you narrow it down?" "Here. A small in home daycare here," I said, circling a city in France, nowhere near Paris. "Aww." A huge hospital nursery here," I said, circling a city in Germany, and a small in home daycare here." I said, circling a small town in Australia. "Wow..." "The boss wants us." Polly said. We walked the hallway, and I shoved the map into my pocket, nicely folded of course. When we entered the office, their boss immediately said, "Are you sure?" "Yes." I laid the map out on his table, and told him what I had told the others. "We won't be able to save the Australian babies. That's in three minutes. The French babies are three days after, and the German babies are two." "Well let's try and intercept the kidnapper." "No." "What?" "No that won't work. By the time we can get to Australia, the baby will be gone." "Gone where?" "Gone. Blown up. Dead." "Dead?" Polly asked, tears forming in her eyes. "I am sorry." I lied. I couldn't understand why they cared so much about a baby they had never known. "We can still save the other two. We should go to Germany." Liv nodded. "I agree. Ivy knows these people." Polly Emil and Josh nodded. Turn around then. You'll need gear. I turned around, but I couldn't resist using the doorknob as a mirror, reflecting off the window, which showed me a mirror, which in turn showed me his very complicated code. "Follow me." He said, and we all filed into his secret passageway. We exited into a lab, full of gear. I picked up some night vision goggles, turned them over, and put them back down. I proceeded to touch every piece of equipment in the lab. "Are you done yet, Ivy?" Their boss asked. "Yes." I said, putting down a grappling hook. For this mission, we don't have time for government permission, so we're going undercover. You'll need these, as always. He handed us night vision goggles. "Possibly these if there's a chase." He said, handing us all grappling hooks, and belts to put our equipment in. "These padded shoes, for silence, black body suits, with laser gun proof vests-" "Those will not protect us from my master's new technology." "Uggggh! You're such a party pooper today, Ivy!" Liv groaned. "That is helpful Olivia." Her boss scolded. "You must ovoid being shot at all costs." We nodded intensely. "Because I totally intended on testing these." Liv mutters sarcastically, and we all ignored her. "Helmits, and since you'll be there a while, spending money, and.... Plane tickets! Is there anything else you think we'll need, Ivy?" "Did you book a hotel, in both places?" "Yes I did." "Those dart thingys you used on me, some mode, of transporting unconscious persons, and rope." "Of course."
Special thanks to my good friend Grayp002 for the great character, Polly!
