When I woke up in the morning, I was antsy. I had never been without a mission for this long before. I made my bed, hugged my bat, and placed it on top. I stuck my hand out the window, to find that it was blazing out.

So I put on my denim shorts, and a black crop top. Then I went to my bathroom, and unbraided my hair. I brushed my teeth too. I sat down on the bed, then got up, and began to pace. I was about to go look for Porter, when there was a knock on the door.

"Can we come in?" That was Josh's voice. "Yeah." "Sorry for accusing you of killing my aunt. That was... Not fair of me. I was just upset, that you had kept this a secret I guess. But you really had no opportunity to tell us anyway, so... Sorry." Josh apologized awkwardly.

He nudged Polly. "Huh?" She asked. "Apologize." Josh hissed. "But I didn't do anything!" "Polly." Josh said annoyed. "You're the one who got mad and dragged me away." "She's right. You did drag her away." "Why is it, that the girls always gang up on us guys?" Josh groaned, and Polly and I giggled.

"Hey where'd this come from?" The feeling was returning, as I looked to Josh to answer his question. "I went to the fair with Porter last night, and he won it for me." I said, thinking about it. Josh was annoying, and overly happy go lucky. Why did I have a 'crush' on him, or that's what my records called it. I didn't, I decided. And the feeling went away.

"What?" "I went to the fair with Porter. You know, the scrawny copper haired kid with loads of freckles?" "I know who Porter is, I was just... surprised that you were already making friends." I shrugged.

"I gave him my "cookie", and he followed me to my room. He's sort of like a lost puppy, but he's cool." "Cool?" "Yeah, reminds me a bit of my old HQ." People cheated all the time there. I smiled. "Woah! Do you have a crush on Porter?" Polly asked, excited.

"No." "That's to bad, cause I know he has a crush on you." Josh said. I remained the same. "Sucks for him I guess." Josh laughed. That was a test, to see if you were lying. "Why would I lie about my feelings? That would not help me with anything." I asked, genuinely confused.

"You don't just confess your love to everyone every time you like someone, so I guess that's why." Polly answered. "When are we getting a mission? I've never gone this long before. I'm getting antsy."

"Well, we have to put you through ability tests first, and we wanted to show you around." "Where do I go to be tested?" "We have to go get Liv and Emil first." Josh said. "Well where are their rooms?" I asked, pulling on my black flats and throwing the door open.

I ran out the door and through the hallway. "Other way." Polly called, and I turned around and ran the other way. Soon, we had picked up Olivia and Emil, who weren't speaking to me, and we were ready to go to my test.
