chapter six ─── godly kisses duology

𝔒riginally, the godly kisses duology was actually supposed to be a PJO story about Hermes and Apollo, but the more I thought about it and what I wanted from the story, I decided that I would actually write it as just one on the gods.

There are two books here; Tears of Gold, which is a Hermes love story and Sweet Ophelia, which is an Apollo somewhat love story.

Both of these books are in the rewrite phase so they're going through a lot of changes to get to where they need to be.

Tears of Gold, as stated previously, is a Hermes love story. This follows the story of Delia, the protector of Delos, as she and Hermes continue to bump into each over the millennia. To note, that in this story Hermes is older than Apollo because I need it that way for a plot point, but other than that it's all the same.

Delia and Hermes' relationship is a lovely one to write, as is this book. I think, and I really hope, that it gives off a slightly whimsical feel when reading. It's pure fluff for the most part, and I really enjoy that especially because of how much angst there is in every other book that I have. Delia is also actually quite different from my other characters because, whilst she can fight, she takes no pleasure in it and is actually a lot more feminine than a lot of my other characters.

Sweet Ophelia is, at the moment, still up in it's first draft form and I actually don't like that version of the story which is why I put off writing it for so long and eventually put it on hold. It needs to come down asap for a real good rewrite and change in everything to be perfectly honest.

I'm not quite sure whether Sweet Ophelia will actually ever turn into a love story or whether it will just stay as a story of platonic love, which I'm kind of tempted by. The main character is Helena, who is the daughter of Aphrodite and Ares and I'm in love with her, especially because she's a cat lady.

We'll see whether these two actually go anyway because I'm still quite conflicted with them, but who knows.
