The Key To Saving Him

Chapter 12 : The Key to Saving Him

I ran to the boys locker room. I tried to call Lottie but she just picked up and hung up. Like Chloe had her phone or something. I sent a vague text reading. Stiles=missing, Jackson in hospital, and Gerard not found. I was hoping that if someone else were to read it they would just get confused, but Lottie knew better. I waited outside till the Sheriff walked me in. Scott Isaac and I stood eyes sunken, mine still wet from tears. "Look I have to meet with the medical examiner and try to figure out what happened with Jackson. I've got an APB out on Stiles. His Jeep is still in the parking lot," The sheriff's voice was almost calm but if you paid attention, you could hear him break every few words. Thinking about his missing son. "So that means.....Ah hell I don't know what that means. um..Look if he answers his phone, if he answers his emails. If any of the three of you see him.."

"We'll call you." Isaac said, nodding. His voice was as sunken as his eyes. All three of us were slowly taking this game in waves. First, Gerard threatens everyone on the field. Then Jackson nicks Isaac, then Jackson kills himself. And now Stiles is missing as well.

"Look he's probably just freaked out from all the attention or something. We'll find him." The Only part of that sentence Scott sounded sure about was that we would find him.

The Sheriff nods, "Yeah. I'll see you guys later, okay?"

Coach walks over. I brush the few tears still sitting on my eyelashes away. "McCall. We need you on the team. You know I can't put you on the field if you don't get your grads up."

"Yeah. I-I know Coach."

"All right." Coach was about to walk away. Something in the way he stood showed he was happy to have a real answer to what someone had said to him tonight. "I know I yell a lot. But it's not like I hate you guys. Well, I kinda hate Greenberg, but that's different. It's Greenberg. I'm just saying we.. I need you on the team.Get your grades back up."

"I will." Scott said, happy for a normal problem to deal with.

"I know." Coach looked me up and down. He opened his mouth to say something but decided against it and just walked away from the three of us.

"Is that everyone?" Scott asked the other beta.

"Yeah I think so." Isaac walked a few steps forward. Scott turned and ripped the locker we were standing in front of right off. Scott grabs two pieces of clothing from the locker. "What we gonna find him by sent?" So this was Stiles' locker.

"Yeah we both are."

"What am I gonna do? Light the way there?" I ask not expecting a real response.

"I was kinda hoping you would. Still not the best at using all my senses."

"Oh. Okay, yeah sure." I say, surprised by the legitimate answer.

"Okay, but how come you get his shirt and I get his shoe?" Isaac asked, spinning the shoe in his hands.

I look up from the ground. Derek Hale stood before us, mins the normal leather get up. I pointed at the wolf so the other two would see him. Scott and Isaac both turn their heads to look at the alpha. "We need to talk." He tells the three of us. Just then Peter Hale stepped out from behind a set of lockers.

"All of us." He said as if he didn't murder four people. (Okay it might have been three.)

"Holy, shit." Scott and I say at the same time. I grip Scott's hand giving it a small squeeze so I don't feel so crazy. First the visions, now Pete being alive. Not to mention, I can't seem to remember anything that will happen on this earth, but I can tell every detail of my own. As if the memory lost was just a tail my parents would tell me, just to get me to stay away from an earth.

"What, the hell is this?" Scott asked, walking closer to Derek and Peter.

"Yeah I'm with Scott." I say moving so Isaac was now faced with the back of my head.

"You know I thought the same thing, When I saw you talking to Gerard at the station."  The alpha said, arms behind his back. My mind flashed to the images of Scott filling pills with ash.

"Okay hold on. He-he threatened to kill my mom. And I had to get close to him. What was I meant to do?" Scott said defensively.

"I'm gonna go with Scott on this one. Have you seen his mother? She's gorgeous."

"Shut up!" Me Scott and Derek remark at the same time.

Isaac leans down into my ear, "How is he?"

"He's Peter, Derek's uncle. Little while back he tried to kill us all, then I set him on fire and Derek slashed open his throat." I say, not trying to hide my emotions to the Hale.

"Hi." Peter waves at the blue eyed beta.

"Good to know." Isaac said straightening back out.

"Okay, how is he even alive?" Scott questioned, his jaw tightening.

"Look, the short version is he knows how to stop Jackson. And maybe even how to save him."

"That won't matter." I say leaning on the frame of what was Stiles gym locker.

"Yeah, seeing as Jackson just killed himself." Isaac explains my statement.

"What?" Both Hale men exclaim.

"Yeah, Jackson's dead, it just happened on the field." Scott reiterates.

The hale men exchanged glances. "May I ask why no one is taking this as good news?" Isaac said, folding is hands together, ready to pray.

"Because if Jackson is dead, It didn't just happen." Peter said.

"Could you be maybe just a bit less vague." I chime in at the former alpha.

"If Jackson is dead, Gerard wanted it to happen."

"Okay but why?" Derek asked his uncle.

"That's what we need to find out. And something tells me the window for opportunity is closing. Quickly." Again with the vague message.

"Let me guess, you know how to change that?" I asked, pushing off the lockers.

"Follow me. Or die, both work I suppose." Peter response.

The four of us follow Peter throughout the school, and out into the wood. We stopped once we got to the crumbling building that was the hale house. My phone buzzed from my pocket. New message: Stiles Stilinski : I'm fine. I'm at home with my Dad, pls make sure Isaac and Scott don't get hurt.

"Thank god they found Stiles." I say as we all enter the Hale home. I text Lottie the same message that Stiles sent me.

"Peter I looked everywhere." Derek spook crossing his arms. I wasn't even sure what we were looking for.

"You didn't look here." Peter pride off one of the stair fronts. He pulled a book out from the hollow step. He blew off small amounts of dust.

"What is that a book?" Derek asked his uncle, just as lost as the rest of us.

"No. It's a laptop, what century are you living in?" The device squeaked as Peter pulled it open. "A few days after I got out of the coma, I transferred everything that we had. Fortunately the Argents aren't the only ones that keep records." Peter and Derek walk to one of the few rooms that you can still make out to be a room.

Scott phone rings. He steps aside and tells me and Isaac to follow the Hales.

Third Person POV

Charlotte Holmes knocked on the door of the Stilinski household. Her heart jumped a few beats when the Sheriff came to the door rather than her friend. "Lottie? IS everything okay?"

"Where's Stiles? Please tell me he's okay." The Holmes girl was almost crying.

"He's upstairs, why don't you go talk to him." Lottie nodded frantically as she stepped inside the home.

Her eyes traveled around the walls. They were lined with photos. Some with Scott, some with only Stiles and his father. Others with a woman Lottie couldn't recognize. She even saw one with just Stiles, Scott and Cait. Her feet seemed to be sound proof as she ascended the stairs.

When she got to the blue door with Stiles' name on it she knocked. "Dad, I said I'm fine." Lottie heard Stiles call back to her. She knocked again. This time she heard shuffling as feet came closer to the door. "Dad really.."

"Hi." The Holmes girl breathed out. Now able to feel normal with the Stilinski child in front of her.

"Hi." The boy replied, happy to see a face other than his own father's.

"You're father let me in." Lottie said, not sure what else to say. Hi, I'm so glad your alive because when my sister called me and my other sister hung up the phone I was worried it might have been supernatural related. Then I got a text saying you went missing and my heart almost stopped. That wasn't really what she could say.

"Did he? Right duh of course he did."

Lottie then noticed the large brush that had formed on Stiles right cheek. "What happened?"

    "Oh uhh.."

"Don't bullshit me Stiles. I want to know what really happened."

"Right. Well long story short one of Gerard's henchman took me from the game and brought me to a basement where he beat me up. And then for some reason let me go." Stiles paused,  "Do you want to come in?" He asked, pointing to the room behind him.

The Holmes girl smiled and walked into the small room. The walls were blue-gray and there was a fake skeleton behind the door. "Lottie, are you okay?"

"I'm scared. I mean first I hear Jackson is in the hospital. Then Lydia tells me he's dead. And I find out you get taken and Scott and Cait, are god knows where, stopping god knows what." A few tears slip through the eyes of the teen girl. "So I'm okay, but no one around me is."

First Person POV~Caitlin Road/Holmes

Isaac, Scott, Mrs. McCall, and I stood over the dead body of Jackson Whittemore. His arms were crossed over his upper body, and his hair was pushed back from drying sweat. But most obviously was the fact that an almost purple silk was slowly wrapping around the boy. It looked like a mix of his venom and spiderwebs.

"What's happening to him?" Scott asked his mother.

"I was hoping the three of you could tell me." Mrs. McCall answered, moving her arms behind her back. "I mean is it bad?"

"Doesn't look great." I say, curling my hands around the edge of the table. Jackson's body moves and all four of us jump back from the table. Isaac places his hands in the air as if someone was about to shoot us.

"Mom, could you zip the bag back up pleas?" Melissa McCall sighed and walked closer to the table. Slowly she zipped the black body bag up. She stops when the zipper jams at the bottom of Jackson's head.

Jackson grows a second set of teeth, much of those like a wendigo. He hisses and Melissa jumps back. "MOM, Zip!" Scott said his eyes wide. Jackson hisses at us a few more times before Melissa manages to zip the back all the way closed.

Third Person POV

Stiles returned to his room with a roll of toilet paper. He took a seat next to Charlotte on his bed. The girl's mascara was now sitting under her eye, and her loose pony-tails was practically gone from her head. "He I couldn't find any tissues, but I did have this." He hands the girl the roll of toilet paper.

"That's fine." She says whipping her nose, and any remaining tears. "My god, I look like such a mess." She says more to herself than the boy next to her. Her phone rings in her lap, as Stiles rings next to him. "That's the 17th message from Caitlin. I assume yours are from Scott."

    "Yeah."

    "What are you ignoring him?"

"Why aren't you answering your sister?"

"Because I came here to make sure you were okay. I mean If she's starting the final battle, then I want you there with me. So why aren't you answering your best friend."

"I want make sure you're okay."

Lottie makes her way over to Stiles' dresser. On top of it were three pieces of golden jewelry and two framed photos. "What's all of this stuff?"

Stiles sands and walks over to her. "It was uhh, My mom's. You know before she passed." The Holmes girl took a closer look at the photos. One was Stiles, his Father and a women who looked almost identical to Stiles. The other was Scott sitting in his mom's lap, while Stiles ran from the women in the first picture.

Lottie received one last text. "Oh my god." She whispered as she opened her phone. New Message : Caitlin Holmes : 1 image. This is what Jackson looks like right now. Something is happening, something big.

First Person POV~Caitlin Roads/Holmes

Scott held me against the wall with his left arm. The same way he did when the Argent's tried to kill Jackson before we went to the club. His other hand was holding up the phone. Derek was on the other line. We started to explain what was happening with Jackson.

"Here we go. It looks like this is the kanima's beta shape." Peter's voice came through.

"Meaning what?" I asked, not even trying to fight Scott on his actions.

"Mean it can get bigger and badder."

"Jackson will turn into that? That. Has wings." Derek said from the other line.

    "I could see that."

    "Scott, bring him to us."

"I'm not sure we really have time for that." Scott tells the alpha. Jackson continues to move from inside the body bag. The sound of claws scratching the material on the inside made the hair on my neck stand up.

"Scott, get him out of there. NOW!" Derek hangs up the phone.

Scott places his phone in his pocket. Him and Isaac take either side of the body bag. I walk in front of the boys telling them whether or not it's safe to go on. Every 20 steps it seemed there was a new turn to snake around. We were safe until we got to the parking lot. Jackson's weight became too much and Isaac dropped his side of the bag. Soon Scott did the same. A set of headlights came into view.

I black Hyundai parked right in front of the three of us. And the body bag. We all froze. The car was blocking the entrance to the back parking lot of the hospital. Slowly the diver's door opened and out walked Chris Argent. All four of us waited to say something.

    "You're alone." Scott pointed out.

"More than you know." He tells us.

"Allison." I breathe out the name, like it was foreign. Everything else I have seen has been true. And maybe my memory of this world is dripping down the drain, but It still didn't feel right knowing Allison was hurting people.

Isaac gave me an odd look at the mention of the hunter in training. "What do you want?" He asked in his normal British, piss off or tell me why we must talk to one another, way.

"The four of us don't have much in common. But at the moment we have a common enemy."

"That's why we're trying to get him out of here." Scott says to the man. But I knew he meant different.

    "Not Jackson. Gerard."

Third person POV

Stiles panned over the text from Scott and even the few from Caitlin. He compared what the two friends said to him and Lottie. He kept looking back at the picture of Jackson wrapped in purple silk, surrounded by a body bag. "We can help Stiles."

    "Lottie, we're just human."

"So." The girl said, her voice cracking. "I don't care. If I can help, I will."

"You see that's the problem. You don't care about getting hurt. But you know how I'll feel? I'll be devastated. And if you die I will literally go out of my freakin' mind. You see death doesn't happen to you, Charlotte. It happens to everyone around you, Okay? It's all the people left standing at your funeral, trying to figure out how they're gonna live the rest of their lives now, without you in it?"

"YOU DON'T THINK I KNOW THAT!" Lottie yelled back at the boy. "My sister is out right now. For all I know she could already be dead. And just that thought is driving me insane. Just the idea that my best friend could be dead. So I know Stiles. I really do. But at the very least if I'm out there helping, If someone does die. I will know why, and not the bullshit lie that will get told to the police. I will know the real truth. Because at least if  help, and I die. I feel like I did something good when I was alive." Lottie finishes, fighting off the tears that were building in her eyes. "I have to help Stiles." The girl says leaving the boy behind her.

    "Hey Lottie wait!"

Stiles sat down at his desk playing with his phone. He was well aware that if a Holmes sister had her mind set on helping her family there was no stopping her. Caitlin is One of his best friends but he knows that if someone had tricked her into thinking he kidnapped and hurt one of her sisters, she wouldn't think twice about hurting him.

Same went for Lottie. The whole reason she was in this mess was because, she couldn't just sit still thinking Caitlin could get hurt. Stiles didn't know the twins well but he was sure they would do the same for the other Holmes.

A knock came from the door. Stiles turned his head to see his father standing in the now open door. "She left, huh?"

"Yeah." The boy replied, his voice sad, even if his face remained emotionless.

"So uhh.. Is there, anything there?" The sheriff asked his son.

"I couldn't tell you if I wanted to. Her sister sent her a text and she was gone. Those two would die for eachother. Hell they would kill for each other."

"I see." The Sheriff walked into the room and took a seat next to his son. "Listen.. I know getting beaten up and what happened to Jackson, has got you pretty shaken. But be happy about one thing." Stiles gave his father a questioning look. "The game. You were amazing"

    His son scoffed, "Thanks, Dad."

"No I mean it. Look, It was pretty much over. And then you got the ball and you started running. You scored, and the tide just turned. And you scored again, then again. You weren't just the MVP of the game. You were a hero."

"I'm no hero, Dad." Stiles said, moving his foot. The melo feel in the room was still there. Stiles thought about what Lottie had told him. That if she had the chance to help, even just a little she could feel like she did something.

"Last night you were." Noah Stilinki told his son before leaving the room

"I'm not a hero." Stiles said to himself.

His phone buzzed. New Message : Lottie Holmes : What If we can still save him. Like there was a way to Jackson's heart? I think Scott texted me saying it had to do with Lydia.

First Person POV~Caitlin Roads/Holmes

"Gerard has twisted his way into Allison's mind. The same way he did with Kate. I can't lose both my sister and my daughter to that monster. But I am, I'm losing her. And I know you guys are losing her too." Chris replied to my statement.

"You're right." I say crossing my arms.

"You are. So can you trust us to fix this? And then can you let us go?" Scott asked the man, his head held high despite the fact his voice was shaking slightly.

"No." My throat tightens at Chris's statement. "My car is much faster." I exhale at what Chris said.

We help the hunter pull Jackson into the backseat of his car. Scott and I climb into the trunk of the car and Isaac takes the front seat. The four of us speed away from the hospital.

We pulled into some old power plant. All four of us got out of the car. "I think he stopped moving." I say as I hop down from the trunk of the car.

"Where's Derek?" Chris asked the three of us. I turn at the soft sound of hands agonist gravel. Just as I turn Derek flips and lands on his feet, showing off his red eyes. "I'm here for Jackson. Not You." Chris told the Alpha.

"Somehow I don't find that very comforting."

"Yeah well, Derek. Right now comfort is out of the question." I open the door to the back seat of Chris' car. Scott and Isaac help me pull the kanima into the building. The boys move the bag and I light the way with a small flame. I find a light switch and turn on the bight overheads.

"Where are they?" Scott asked as Derek moved closer to the body bag.

    "Who?"

"Peter and Lydia." Scott said as Derek started to open the bag.

"Stop. I thought you said you knew how to save him." I stated as Dereke pulled the zipper farther.

"We're past that." Derek said simplay.

"What about--" Scott tries to argue but Derek stops him.

"Think about it, Scott. Okay, Gerard controls him now. He's turned Jackson into his own personal guard dog.. And he set all of this in motion. So that Jackson could get bigger and more powerful."

"So that's it! We don't even try!" I yell at the alpha.

"No. No My father wouldn't do that. If Jackson's a dog, he;s turning rabid, And my father wouldn't let a rabid dog live." Chris explains to us.

"Of course not." The scratchy voice of Gerard Argent could be heard from next to me. "Anything that dangerous. That out of control.. Is better off dead."

Derek bent over to slash Jackson's throat, but the kanima puts his claws through Derek first. I gasp and a wind moves through the small room. Chris takes out his gun as the kanima rises from its body bag. Derek was still impaled by Jackson's claws. When Jackson was fully upright he threw Derek into a second room. The winds stop when Jackson stands still.

"Well done to the last Scott." Gerard congratulates the beta. Walking closer he speaks again. "Like the concerned friend you are, You brought Jackson to Derek to save him. You just didn't realize that you were also bringing Derek to me."

A whistle sound came from behind me. My heart beat rose as I turned, stopping the arrow right in front of my face. The silver tipped black arrow was mear centimeters away from my nose. Then I realized who had shot the bow. "Nice try Ally. But I'm quicker than I look." I yell out into the darkness.

"Maybe you are, but he isn't." Alison shoots a second arrow hitting Isaac.

"Allison?" Scot questioned, as she ducked back behind her hiding place.

Scott and I ran to either side of Isaac as he started to cough up blood. It began to drip down his chin as his blue shirt turned purple. We made our way to the room that Derk was thrown into. A heard a round of bullets fire from behind me. The sounds of Jackson hissing fills my ears as I start to pull the arrow out of Isaac's left shoulder, mear inches above his heart. I light the arrow head on fire. "This will hurt." I stab Isaac with the now burnt arrow. He hisses in pain and his skin steams trying to heal around the burning metal.

"You seem to save my life a lot." Isaac huffs out as I help him stand.

"Well can you fight because we really can't afford to be a man short." He nods and turns.

I sneak into the shadows and back to the entrance of the room. The kanima and Chris run by me. I move to stand at the entrance of the room. Derek flips over a wooden pallet. Scott and Isaac come out of the shadows we were standing in. I light one of my hands on fire. Readying the other to move the air, and force people apart.

Derek roars at the lizard shapeshifter. He hisses back now surrounded. All four of us go a quick one to one. But it was more a tag team. Derek would slash at Jackson then Scott would dig his claws into him. Then Isaac would choke him, and I would press a set of flames to him.  Derek climbed a set of bars just as the kanima knocked me to the ground.

The alpha jumps on the back of the creature pushing him on top of me. I burn up the whole of Jackson's scales as he jumps off of me. Scott corners Jackson into a wall. The rusting metal behind him, ripping off his scales. But gets thrown back himself. I focus Jackson into a wall and Derek tries to slash at him, but the kanima is quicker.

By this point Isaac couldn't help do to the fact that Allison was slashing knives at his gut. She stabbed them into the back of Isaac causing him to fall over. The kanima tail starts to choke me. My airway is getting smaller. As fear takes over my body the dirt ground below us rises and pushes Jackson away from me. I drop back to the ground gasping for air. I look over to Allison who is still holding the bloody knives she used to stab Isaac.

"ALLISON NO!" I hear myself gasp and scream. Scott's voice blends with mine as the kanima come from behind Allison and holds his claws to her neck.

"Not yet sewatherat." Gerard enters the room as Scott pulls me from the ground.

"What are you doing?" Allison asked her grandfather as he came into the light.

"He's doing what he came here to do." Scott says, letting go of the hand he used to help me up.

"What is he talking about?" Allison asked, her voice becoming less and less sure.

"You know then." Scott nodded, "It was the night at the hospital, wasn't it. When I threatened your mother. I knew I saw something in your eyes. You could smell it couldn't you?"  Isaac was human now. Because pain makes you human. I walked over to my friend and helped Isaac off the ground.

"He's dying." Isaac said. They could smell it, just like at the clinic.

"I am." Gerared pauses, and turners to look at his granddaughter who still had his pets claws to her neck. "I have been for a while now. Unfortunately science doesn't have a cure for cancer yet. But the supernatural does." Gerard looked down at Derek who was on the floor.

I start to put the pieces together. The images I saw too long ago. Scott filling pills with mountain ash. 'Helping' Gerard, gaming his trust. Even telling me what I saw was all true, by saying it was happening or has happened. Scott made it so the bite wouldn't work on Gerard. I bit my lower lip, stopping two things. A smirk, or a laugh.

Allison gaspes at Jackson closes his hand over her throat. "You monster." Chris Told his father pulling himself from the ground. Downfall to being human.

    "Not yet."

"What are you doing?" Allison cries out.

"You'll kill her too!" Chris fights his father's words. The rest of us non humans stay silent. My lip fell from my teeth as Scott Isaac and I move closer together.

"When It comes to survival, I'd kill my own son!" So he was jealous. Jealous of a teen boy because Scott could understand how not to be a dick. He was jealous for so long of aso many people, that he forgot other people har human. "Scott."

Scott stays still. "I trust you." I whisper so only the wolves could hear me Derek struggles on the floor as Scott turns human. Everyone in the room gives him disgusted looks, but I keep a straight face. My chinch tilted up. Allison still had the kanima's hand on her neck but it seemed like she could breath.

Scott walks away from Isaac and I. Isaac goes to stop him but I hold the brit back. Scott's body shakes. You could tell he didn't want to do this. He closes his eyes and claws Derek in the back of the neck. Scott draggs Derek from the ground. I could Hear Allison foce a breath in.

"Scott don't" Derek begs, but Scott made his choice, weeks ago. You know he's just gonna kill me right after. You'll be an Alpha." Scott soupors Derek's body as he walks over to Gerard.

"That's true. But I think he already knows that. Don't you, Scott?" Gerard taunts, not moving from his spot on the ground. "He knows that the real prize is Allison." I have to look at the ground, know the look of hurt that will pace over both Scott and Allison's faces. I know Allison will beg Scott not to do it. "Do this small task for me, and they can be together." I was still holding Isaac back, but now it was from Gerard not Scott. "You are the only piece that doesn't fit, Derek." Gerard's words filter through my head. "And in case you haven't learned yet, There is just no competing with young love."

I think back to the night when we first found out Jackson was the kanima. How Allison and Scott sat behind me, in eachothers arms, as I winds I created passed overhead. How even the sound of metal being torn apart couldn't separate the two.

When I looked back up, Scott and Derek were still in the middle of the room. No one has moved. "Scott don't! Don't!" Derek pants. Gerard takes off his jacket and pulls up his sleeve.

"I trust you." I whisper again, this time getting Isaac's attention as well. His face is full of pain, pain that I would be on Scott's side. If only he knew.

"I'm Sorry!" Scott foucred the words out. He knew how bad this looked, and even seeming this cold hearted made him guilty. It was written all over his face. "But I have to." Scott lowered his voice when he said this.

Scott tills Derek's head back so his fangs bared. Gerard came closer, bringing his arm over Derek's mouth. Allison looked away as the reflex to close your mouth took over. Derek bit down on Gerard's arm. The old man screamed in agony. Derk fell to the ground. As I ran to Scott's side. The bit ran around the left half of Gerards right wrist.

Slowly the red blood turned black. Dripping down Gerard's arm. It was almost like water. It was thinner than blood and moved quicker. A smirk spread over my face as well as Scott's.

"What? What is this? What did you do?" Gerard questioned.

    "Mountain ash." I say simply.

"She's right. Everyone always said Gerard had a plan. I had a plan of my own." Gerard took out his pill case. He poured the pills into his hand. He balled his fist, letting some of the black dust fly into the room. The black liquid started to drip from Gerard's eyes and nose. His body slumped over. He almost started to hyperventilate, gasping for air. A black spiel of vomit left the old man's mouth. That had to be the most disturbing thing to happen tonight. And that includes sticking a burnt arrow into one of my best friends. Cries left Allison as he fell over completely.

"Why didn't the two of you tell me?" Derek asked from the ground.

"Because you might be an Alpha, but your not mine." Scott said simply.

"I've said it before Derek, you're not the only Alpha in the room." I add to Scott (honestly kinda badass) statement.

Gerard crawls on the ground, more black vomit leaving his mouth. "Kill...Kill them ALL!" Gerard yells at the kanima. Instinctively I moved my hand pushing Allison against the wall behind her so the kanima's claws were not near her neck.

In the kanima's moment of shock, the bright light's of Stiles' jeep move through the wall. The blue vehicle runs right into Jackson. The ties nearly burn out from how hard Stiles is hitting the break. "DID WE HIT HIM?" Lotti yells from the back of the car. Scott and I let out a breathy laugh.

Jackson climbs onto the jeep. Scaring the crap out of Stiles and Lydia. Who was in the passenger's seat. Stiles screams. "I THOUGHT YOU SAID WE hIT HIM!" Lottie yelled. All three scramble out of the car.

Stiles runs behind Scott and me. Lottie runs right to me and pulls me into a hug. "JACKSON!" Lydia calls out. "Jackson." She said quieter this time.

"LYDIA!" Allison yells for her friend. Lydia holds out a golden key.

Jackson stops. His eyes pass over the key.Lydia and Jackson just have a standoff.  Once more tonight no one moves. Slowly Jackson's scales start to disappear from his body. Lydia is shaking in fear. Jackson's eyes become human again and his claws retract. Slowly he takes the key from Lydia.

Jackson walks away from Lydia. Backing away from all of us. Derek's eyes turning a piercing red. Jackson raises his arms, excepting his sentence. Peter Hale comes from nowhere and claws the back of Jackson. "NO!" Lydia cries out. Lottie and I have to hold her back as she screams. Tears flood her eyes and face as Lydia fight's our grip.

Jackson's body falls to the ground. Dead. For the second time today. Lydia's cries become louder as Lottie and I turn the strawberry blonde away from the scene. The key drops to the floor and Lydia sobbs into my shirt. "I" sob. "Love." scream. "Him." Lydia cries into my shoulder the word cutting deeper than any claw could.

"We know." Lottie says a few tears in her eyes.

"But more importantly. He knew." I tell my friend. The last bit of scales fade from Jackson's lifeless form.

"Where's Gerard?" Allison asked, her mind now back to Allison the pack member.

"He can't be far." Chris tells his daughter.

A scraping sound came from where Jackson's body lay. "Lydia." I breathe into my friend's ear. She Lets go of me and turns back to Jackson. His eyes were now open and a piercing blue. He stands up completely. Slowly, moving one vertaby at a time. True claws extended from his hands and Jackson's lifeless body rose and became a real werewolf. The new wolf roars.

Lydia ran right into his arms, as Jackson turned back human. Stiles was crying from behind me. "He scratched my jeep."
"Sure he did." I joke. I turn to my sister. I pull Lottie into a deadly hug. The two of us just stand there hugging.

"I'm so glad you're okay." She whispers.

"I'm not gonna leave you." I whisper back.
