Pestilence
Chapter seven : Pestilence
I sat on the floor of Scott's room, a wind coming in from his window. Stiles sat next to me as Scott dug around for something that could play a cassette tape. Long story short, when Violet hid all the weapons in her locker, Garret hid all the money. Scott took the money. Then it sat in a bag under his bed for two weeks, now Stiles and I convinced him to count it. But we didn't just find money, we found a tape labeled play me.
Scott sighed before pressing play. After entering the IP address, you will be connected through a Darknet portal to an untraceable bank. Once logged in, enter your account number to receive wire transfers. The IP address will deactivate with each transfer. You will be assigned a new IP address if you choose to continue down the list. Remember, visual confirmation is always required for payment.
Stiles stopped the recording. "Well that's bone chilling." I said swallowing my spit.
"Either of you heard of a wire transfer?"
Scott shook his head, "Never had enough money."
"Cait?"
"No."
"So neither of you understand a word of that either?"
"I don't understand any of this." Scott said flaring his arm. "Why would someone use all this money just to kill us?"
"I don't know about anyone else on that list, but there's a rumour that if you kill the, as a not supernatural being, you can kill the doppelganger from your earth. And as for you Scott, people want you dead just because of the color of your eyes. And the want you dead pretty badly."
"So if I were to stab you right now, some girl half-way across the word could die?" Stiles moved to lean against the bed.
"I said it's a rumour, but it still doesn't make sense."
Scott took a few breaths. I watched as his chest rose and fell like he was thinking. He doesn't say anything just starts shoving the money back in the bag. "What are you doing?" Stiles asked, watching his friend.
"We're late we have the PSATs in the morning." I can't believe I agreed to go to that. I mean I just have to take them again when I get back to earth 33.
"No with the money. 500,00. Do you know how much money that is?"
Scott blinked, already done with what Stiles was going to say, "It's 500 thousand."
"It's half a million dollars. Scott. What are you going to do, just slide it under your mattress?"
"I have to talk to Derek. The money's his." Scott said pointing to the bag with his thumb.
"His. His and Peter's."
I roll my eyes, "And Cora's. What are you trying to get at?"
"It means, Caity, maybe we should proceed with caution."
I shake my head raising my pointer finger into the air, "Yeah. I'm not following."
"You don't think we should tell Derek?"
"No." Stiles looked to the floor before standing. "NO. no of course we have to tell him. I'm just..." Stiles was no longer looking at us. "I'm just saying some of that money's Peter's right?" Still Cora's.
"Yeah."
Stiles turned back around, "Right? Peter. Homicidal killer? Remember? You want to give him $500,00."
Scott looked lost, "We should give Derek his money back. But not Peter?" Yeah part of me is still saying we just ship it all to south america, let Cora do what she wants with it.
"I didn't say that." Stiles looked so guilty.
I swallowed, "Then what are you saying?"
My question never got an answer because we heard someone in front of the door. Scott slid the money under his bed, as Stiles and I scrambled to move to a normal position. We all turned to face Isaac and Malia at the door, "We found Satomi's pack. Us and Derek." Isaac stopped.
"But they're dead." Malia finished.
"All of them?" Scott asked, almost leaning to Malia.
"All the ones we found." Okay, not everything sounds better in a british accent.
Stiles took a few steps forward, "Then where's Derek."
"The hospital." Malaia paused to catch her breath, "We found Braeden. Half dead."
~
The halls of the school felt claustrophobic as all of us but Lydia stood in line. I leaned into Scott's ear, "Something feels wrong."
He turned to look at me, "Wrong how?"
"That's the worst part. I don't know."
Kira stopped our conversation looking around, "Where's Lydia?"
"She took it her freshman year." Lottie answered, twiddling her thumbs.
Malia turned to her, "Does that mean I could have taken it some other time?"
"Malia." Scott's eyes shifted to her balled fist as she got more nervous, "You studied harder for this than any of us."
"Doesn't mean I'm gonna do good." She said frantic.
"Well." Evlynn said before biting her lip.
"Well...What?"
"It-it's do well, not good."
"Oh god." Malia pushed her body to a wall of lockers behind us.
"It's okay." I looked over to Scott, Stiles, and Allison. "It seems pointless that I'm here. But here I am. And if I'm taking this, so are you. You're gonna do amazing." Allison just rolled her eyes at me, Isaac seeming to pick up on my emphasis on the word pointless directed at my friends who know what I am.
"Yeah. Not only that. But while we're trying not to die we still need to live. I mean if I survive high school, I'd like to go to college. A good college." Scott spoke to the worried coyote. (That sounds like a failed Looney-tunes plotline) It took everything in me not to look at Kira. I could almost feel the dark kitsune staring at me before it's born. Before a dick name Theo tears her life apart.
"I'm only here cause I have to be." Isaac said with a wink.
"It's only three hours." Allison points out.
"Yeah. We can survive three hours." Kira adds.
"Don't jinx it." Chloe spoke hitting her head on the locker behind her.
~
It seemed I was the only person he hesitated to do anything prior to the test. I've taken California Standardized tests before. Never did you have to leave your thumbprint as part of the test. But still I did what I was told, taking a seat behind a girl named Tracy. (Shit, Tracy? Why did I not notice that earlier?)
I felt sick to my stomach from the way the test organizer looked at me. Like I was some prized meat, and I couldn't tell if that was pedifelic or he just wanted to kill me for 20 million dollar.
"Please do not open the test booklet until you are instructed to do so. This test is two hours and 10 minutes. There will be two 25-minute critical reading sections, two 25-minute math sections and an essay writing portion that will last 30 minutes. There are supposed to be two teachers monitoring this exam." The test organizer looked at Mrs. Martin.
"I know. It's Coach. He's not exactly punctual. Um, let me just try him again." That's when I remembered what happened today. I let out a small gasp as I started to forcibly rub my thumb onto the pant leg, trying to get rid of anything still on it that could make me sick. Isaac looked at me like I was crazy but I kept doing it. Part of me knew it wouldn't work, that it was already too late, but it didn't stop me from creating a hole in my pant leg from the friction.
Mrs. Martin left the room, as the test organizer glared at me. My whole body wanted to tense from fear, now knowing that look from before was because he wanted me dead.
I felt a bit better when Mrs Martin came back in the room, tearing the older man's eyes away from me. "I can't find him, but Mr. Yukimura is upstairs grading papers. Do you want me to try him?"
The organizer sighed, "We have to start the test. We can ask for his assistance during the first break." The organizer bent over and pressed a stopwatch, "you may now open your test booklets and begin."
I did what he said, but words were falling off the page. It was like how they show dyslexia in shows and movies. If I closed my eyes and held them shut I could read about three sentences before it started again. That was how I started the test just opening and closing my eyes as words fell from the page. And I couldn't tell if it was from fear, or if I was already starting to get sick.
Eventually I dropped my pencil on the desk, a pain moving through my head like a vision but nothing came. It was just pain for nearly two minutes before my vision blurred and then I was fine. I took a few deep breaths starting back on the test. But before I could write anything else down, a girl next to Stiles fell out of her seat.
"Sydney!" Mrs Martin rushed over to the girl.. Sydney. "Are you alright?" She asked helping Sydney from the floor.
"Uh I'm okay. I just got kind of dizzy."
Ms Martin grabbed Sydney's wrist, "Sydney, how long have you had this?"
Sydney looked at her wrist as well, shaking her head, "I don't know."
"Ms. Martin do I need to stop the test?"
"U-no, um it's fine." My eyes shifted to my own wrist, but it was normal. Isaac's eyes keep shifting to me. I turned my head to look at him, then shook it back and forth slowly saying I didn't know what was happening. Because I didn't it was bits and pieces slipping away the harder it got to read. Ms Martin went back to the front of the room, "Everybody stay in your seats. I'll um be back in a minute. Nobay leaves the room." Ms Martin grabbed her phone and walked out. I'm sure every werewolf in the room could hear my heart going crazy. I feel it in my temples, as Scott turned his head to look at me.
I closed my eyes taking a breath before mouthing the words, 'Listen in.' at the teen wolf. He nodded his head tilting it to the side just a bit.
Scott turned back to me, his eyes widen with fear.
The two of us sprinted from our seats, tripping over the edge of them, Stiles and Lottie close behind. The rest of the class soon filed out as well. Ms Martin stood at the end of the hall, phone in head. "Back to your seats. Now." Everyone else started back in but Scott Stiles and myself. "Please." I sighed knowing it was too late to stop anything. I mean I CAN'T READ. That doesn't just happen. So I followed everyone else back in Scott closing the door behind me.
Scott paused in front of the door, his head on a tilt. He looked back at me, and Allison who stopped noticing the signs that he was listening for something. 'CDC' was all he mouthed, as we were ushered back into our seats.
~
Scott Stiles and I stood at the head of the group as CDC workers walked into the school. Scott leaned down to talk in my ear, "Why is there a hole in your pant leg?"
"Neuves got the best of me. But it wasn't from the test. Scott this was targeted at supernatules. But it like my memory is slowly slipping down the drain, an hour ago, I could tell you what happened next, Now I can't even tell you what day it is."
~
Scott and I stood with Ms Matin in a hall now lined with beds. "We isolate the sick and then we wait for instruction." She walked us into one of the clear plastic tents, folding a blanket over Sydny. "If I'm wrong, they'll be out of here pretty quickly, and then I'm the crazy biology teacher who panicked for nothing." Scott and I gave her sad smiles as she left the tent.
Sydney was gasping for air as she looked at her arm. They were covered with red bruises and bulging veins. "Hey. You're gonna be okay." I said looking Sydney in the eye.
"It's not not. The PSATs, the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship. My parents can't afford to send me to college without it."
"I'm sure they'll let you take it again." Scott said, with a smile as the two of us left.
"At least her parents are letting her go to college." I say before I can stop myself.
Scott stopped turning to face me, "Why wouldn't yours let you go to college?"
"When they found out that I was the doppelganger and not my brother." I sighed, "They said it would interfere with the job. And now all my friends are talking about what college they're going to go to, in two years, and what classes they need to take to get there. And I'm stuck, in northern California learning the crash course in how not to mess up the universe." I let out a sad laugh. "And I don't I guess part of me still wants to go, but I know I should. My future has been paved."
Scott gave me a sad smile, "Don't let what you are control you." He put his hand under my chin so I was looking in his eyes, "You can save the munitilveser and take a 8 am leachure."
"Scott your eyes."
"What-what do you mean?"
"They're bright red."
~
I stood behind Scott in the boys locker room as he started to lose control. "It's happening isn't it? What you were so afraid of earlier?" He asked me still facing the mirror.
"Probably."
Scott pointed his head to the floor, gripping the side of the sink. Part of me thought he was about to snap the porcin in half. There was a set of knocks on the door, Ms Martin's voice coming through but I didn't register it.
"Caitlin." A voice said off in the distance. "Caitlin." This time it sounded like my brother.
"Scott give me a sec." I walked away from the sinks moving around a set of lockers. But no one was there.
"Cait?" The voice came through again as I turned around a new set of lockers. "Kit-kat? What's taking so long?" Kit-kat. Dean nickname for me. I know it was weird to have a nickname from your brother but he always told me that if I was going to protect the multiverse then he was going to protect me. And we started to grow really close, I mean we petty sibling fights, but still. "Cait?" The voice got louder then stopped all together.
"Dean? Dean!" My only answer was Scott's roar.
I tried to get back to Scott, but my body could no longer walk in a straight line. The veins on my arms started to turn Silver, and my body started to shake. The world around me started spinning till I hit the floor.
Above me were visions, of a sort. Holograms almost. I was still on the locker room floor, but people would glitch in and out. Liam, Hayden, Melissa. They would stop to say things I couldn't hear then keep walking.
Curiosity took me over as I stood from the floor. This time Dean and Lottie walked by, but it was more of a memory. Lottie couldn't have been more than 10 making Dean 12. I followed the pair, till they walked through a wall. "No. NO, don't go. Please explain what's happening. Dean! Dean!"
"CAITLIN!" Mr Yukimura's voice came from behind me. "Caitlin, look at me." I turned to face him.
"What's happening to me?"
~
Mr Yukimura came back to the locker room with a bottle of water for both me and Scott. Now also with Stiles Kira the twins Lottie Isaac Malia and Allison. At this point we were together again. His eyes blinking red, and the silver vines crawling up my arms so they weren't only covering my forearm.
"It's still happening." Mr. Yukimura points out. A version of Liam walking through him.
We all look to Malia and Isaac. Isaac was having a similar reaction to Scott; it was just slower. His eyes would shift, but it wasn't like a bad light bulb, it was more like a kid learning how to use a light switch. On for eights seconds, off for ten, on for three, off for eight. Malia held up her hands, now fully clawed, "I can't make them go away."
"Clearly the virus is affecting the three of you and Cait in a way it won't hit any human being."
"You guys have to stay out of sight." Lottie said rubbing my back, as if I was about to throw up.
"Yeah. We have to quarantine you.... From the quarantine."
"Yeah but where?" Kira asked.
"What if they get violent?" Evlynn asked, eye the four of us.
"Ev's got a point. I mean Cait can burn this whole building down, with the snap of her fingers." Chloe pointed out, giving me sad eyes.
"We can't stay in here. Not in a locker room." Isaac said balling his fist.
"Isaac's right, but then where can we go?" Allison asked, turning a pencil in her hands like she was about to throw it into someone's neck.
"A classroom is not going to hold us. And Chloe's right, if Cait gets any worse she could burn us all." Malia spoke.
"The Hale Vault." I whisper afraid to talk any louder. "There's an entrance from the basement. It was made for werewolves."
Stiles and Allison's eyes widened. "Okay Caity do you know where in the basement?"
"West-wing. Somewhere in the west wing."
Allison walks over to me, throwing her sweatshirt over me to hide my arms, but as he goes to walk away he almost falls over. Mr. Yukimura caught him, "Whoa." Allison spoke of her own behavior.
"It's happening to you too." Mr Yukimura pulled up Stiles' sleeve, showing us the red marks starting to form. "You're getting sick. You all are." He looked at his daughter.
"I don't feel sick."
"I think it's affecting you differently, neurologically. I found your test answers here in a pile with the others." Mr Yukimura unfolded a piece of paper as we all leaned over to see Kira's answers. Not one was in a bibble. Every pencil mark on the page was placed next to the four options.
"We got to go."
~
We all stood at the end of the west wing, looking for the entrance to the Hale vault. I knew it was a circle, but shapes started to go after letters. It seemed like the only thing I still had control of was my voice and even then I spoke in whispers. "Hey guys..." Stiles moved something on a shelf. "Over here." Isaac and Scott pushed the dust covered metal to the side, revealing a wall, a set of lines leading to the center.
When I took a let back the lines in the wall became a shape, sort of. I could just barely make out the triskelion. "It has to be like the one outside, that Derek showed me and Cait. It only opens with claws."
"Anyones claws right?" Stiles looked to me and Allison, who were standing at the back of the group. We both shook our head, causing me to almost fall over. I would have if Allison wasn't next to me.
"Well I can't control it." Isaac seemed to take the hint, "And Scott is clearly not much better. Malia do you think you can do it?"
"Okay. I can try. But first tell me what you've been hiding from me." Stiles stamers I don't even have the energy to say anything, I was too focused on standing up. People are still walking through us like we are just air. "I know you think you're trying to protect me, but I can handle it." Malia clapps, still no one speaks. "I know I'm on the list." Collectively we all let go of a beath we were holding.
"Yes..." Stiles spoke.
"So how much?"
"How much what?" Allison asked, still holding me up.
"How much am I worth?"
"Four million." Scott spoke, his voice raspy.
"Mal." Chloe walked over to her girlfriend, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Scott's worth 25, Cait 20, Kira five. They'll take you guys out way before me." Comforting. Malia walked over to the vault entrance and started to move the door, till the piece fell back into the wall. The wall itself sliding to the side
Chloe looked at me, "It's still progress." I smiled at my sister's remark. Allison helped me walk forward into the vault.
The door closed behind us, as Allison let go of my arm, lowering me to the ground. Scott took a seat on the metal box I was leaning against. Stiles Malia and my sister were all on the other side of the room. Isaac and Kira were the only one's standing, both of them starting to pace.
"Ally." I spoke so softly I wasn't sure if she would hear me.
"Yeah Caity?"
"Am I ever gonna get home?"
Scott took notice of this moving so he was on the floor next to me, "You will. All four of you will." He took my hands in his, "I swear."
I hummed, leaning into my boyfriend. Allison still sitting in front of us. I noticed the way Chloe held Malia, cradling her top half like a baby. The air around us started to get cold, a breeze coming through the locked off room. We all knew the only answer was me. I rolled my head back onto Scott's shoulder, pulling Allison's sweatshirt tighter around myself. Because while the werewolves started to sweat till they overheated I swear I was about to become hypothermic.
The vault itself wasn't so bad. Stone tile flooring. Two cement pillars at either end, and a shit ton of shelving units holding a shit ton of stuff. "You know this is where it all started." Stiles spoke. "Right over there." He nodded to a safe behind Scott and me. "That's where the money was. 117 million in bearer bonds."
Kira picked something off the shelf, "How do you even change bearer bonds into cash?"
"I bank, I guess." Evlynn said from her spot on the floor.
"Caitlin." I hear my name again. I looked to the side where the voice was coming from. "Hey Kit-kat." Dean metirized next to me. "You miss me?"
"Dean?"
"Shh, save your breath. I want you to get home. But Caity. Trie to remember what happened today. Save your friends. Do your job. What was that thing Mom always told you? El? Et?"
"Et pugnabit ut salvum te malum ut qui non eligere."
"Keep up the good fight. I love you kit-kat." Dean leaned over and pressed a kiss to my forehead before disparaging back into thin air.
"Humans." I whisper.
"What?" Allison asked, leaning so she could hear me.
"It's not safe. If you're human you need to leave. I'm sure Ms Martin is looking for us as well, you need to give us a cover. Allison Leave. Keep my sisters safe and leave."
"Okay." Allison stood from the floor. "I know you guys can't hear Cait. But we need to go. If we're human, being around them is like a death wish. Not to mention I'm sure people are looking for us. If five out of ten of us make it back upstairs we come up with a cover."
"But-"
"I'm sorry Evlynn I know." Allison looked back at me and Scott, "I don't want to leave them either but we have to. For everyone's sake."
~
A black liquid started to drip down my arm. I looked over and noticed it was coming from Scott's fingernails. Something freezing started to drip from my noise as well. I reached up to my nose pulling back so see sliver blood has started to drip.
"S-Scott." I whispered
"Yeah?" He spoke through a shaky breath.
"We're not gonna die right?"
"You're the one who can see the future, you tell me." He joked, pulling me closer to him.
"Then we're not gonna die. Though I might pass out from low iron levels."
"What do you mean?" His voice dropped so it was as low as mine
I twisted my neck so Scott could see the silver blood still dripping from my nose. "I can't stop it. Scot, this isn't just an illness, this an assasination."
"Someone created it?"
"I-I think it was the guy who organized the test. Did you see the way he looked at us. Like he was comparing us to a prize."
"Comparing us to the amount we are worth."
I looked back around the room, everyone was a blur but I could tell who they were. It was just the five of us now. Isaac, Kira, Malia, Scott, and myself. Each one of us is different then the other. Isaac was fighting a shift, like he was on his first full moon. Kira couldn't walk in a straight line. Malia was almost falling over from where she was on the floor, black liquid spilling from her mouth. Scott's eyes were now permanently red, and the same black sunpatiens dripped from his nails. My whole body was now covered in silver veins, other than my face, where sliver blood was dripped from my nose. I could still see faint versions of people walking around like holograms.
My body shuttered in Scott's arms. The room was struck with another round of wind. I could hear someone shhing but the wind was all that by body was aware of. "Cait." I groaned. "Cait can you give me a sec?" I nod, shifting my body so It was no longer pressed against Scott. He stumbles from the ground making his way over to Malia. She was holding something in her hand but I couldn't see it. "Malia.. Malia?"
She pants, "I can't see. I can't see anything." Scott raised his hand, going to say something but he stopped. The winds in the room got faster as more blood left my body. I was gonna crash. Nothing good was about to happen.
Third Person POV
Stiles dug around the Coach's office. Allison and the twins were looking down the upstairs hallways for anything. And Lottie was talking with Mr Yukimura about how bad everyone was getting downstairs.
Soon he started to skim the papers on the desk. Everything was labeled with the word approved. But that wasn't what caught the young detectives attention. His coffee cup had two black thumb prints on it. The same ink used for the test. They were poisoned by the ink.
"I was wondering how that idiot got sick." The test organizer's voice came from the small door. Stiles stood from his seat dropping, and breaking the cup. "I'm also wondering where your friends are." Stiles then noticed the gun in the man's hand. "Since in order to get paid by the benefactor, I need to have proof they're dead."
Three tears left Stiles eye, the only ones he couldn't hold back at the thought of his best friends dying. At the thought of having to go to Caitlin and Scott funeral. "Visual confirmation."
The man held the gun up to Stiles, "Exactly."
First Person POV~Caitlin Roads/Holmes
I opened my eyes at the sound of something breaking. My whole body was still shaking like I was having a seizure. Scott tried to hold me still but it wasn't much help. I watched blankly as Malia grabbed on to the thing nearest to her, "What's happening to us?"
"Isaac. I can't. I can't see!" Kira screamed as she reached around, trying to grab something.
"Let. Me up. Let me up." I spoke trying to stand.
"Cait-"
"Let me up." Scott let go of me, seeing as I was the only person in the room who could still see. Silver blood now covered the front of my shirt, a small amount on Allison's leather.
"Pumpkin. Caity." My mother's voice spoke from behind me, as Scott started to climb one of the shefles so he could stand. "There you are." My mother materialized, holding her arms out. "Come on pumpkin, where'd you run off too?"
"Teresa. Tessa dear, She's allowed outside. Ain't that right Caity?" I turned to see my father walking closer to me.
"Dad?"
"I know she is, James. But I still worry."
"Mom?"
"Everything alright baby?" My Dad asked me, coming closer. "Come on Caity you got to talk to us."
"I don't know."
Third Person POV
The man pushed Stiles back into the locker room, the gun aimed at his back. Stiles was still burning up, but he just wanted to get back to his friends. Make sure they are still alive. "Still look a bit feverish, Mr. Stilinski. But you should know something, the virus doesn't kill humans, you'll get better. So don't you think you should tell me where they are? Shouldn't at least some of you get out alive?"
"I think I saw them in the library. Or it might've been the cafeteria. It was definitely one of those two."
The man hired the gun, "I'm going to count to three and then I'm going to kill you. Then I will find the rest of your human friends, and I will give them the same choice. Tell me where your friends are, or die."
Stiles turned to face the man, "You think you can scare me?"
"No. I think I can kill you. I just thought the count down would make it more exciting. So..." The man raised the gun to Stiles forehead, but the boy didn't move. "One..Two." Stiles let out a shaky breath, then shut his eyes. He heard a gunshot then felt a cold liquid cover his face. Stiles' body shook as he spit out the other man's blood. He looked up from the body in front of his feet to show Mr McCall, with a gun in hand.
"Where the hell did you come from?"
"STILES!" The four girls yelled as they came into the room, taking in what was in front of them. Allison and Chloe recovered first running to their friend's side. Then Evlynn, who let go of a few sharp breaths, and finally Lottie, who couldn't express how scared she was. First her sister and best friend got sick, then Cait told every human to leave the vault, then Stiles broke off from the group, told her to find Mr Yukimura, then the twins and Allison broke away, severing the upper level. And then she was alone, with an unknown assassin in the building. And to top it all off when she got back downstairs the first thing she heard was a gun shoot.
"Stiles, girls listen. I got a call from Melissa. I don't know what it means. She said there's an antidote. It's in a vault reishi mushrooms."
"Wait, what in the vault?"
"It's in a jar on one of the shelves. She said to tell Scott, it's in the vault." The five teen nodded before sprinting away from the grown man.
First Person POV~Caitlin Roads/Holmes
"CAIT!" "CAITLIN!" "SCOTT! CAIT!" "CATY!" All the different voices took me away from my parents. I stumbled to the wall that had the door to the school. "Caity it's me Stiles. It's in the vault, in there with you. Reishi mushrooms. Cait?"
"Caitlin opened the door! It's an android. It's in a jar on one of the shelves." Lottie screamed. But I couldn't. I walked myself along the walls, still shaking till I found the jar of mushrooms.
"CAIT CAN YOU HEAR US!?" Allison sounded like she was about to break down.
My body shook the shelf as I grabbed onto it, looking for the jar. I couldn't read the label, the words falling away from me. But something told me this was right. (It helped that they were the only mushrooms but you know.)
I crawled over to Scott, seeing as he looked the worse. Black veins covering his face, eyes swollen and irises red. "Scott..." I breathed out his name. "Scott you have to eat this." I coughed out a bit of silver blood. Scott took the small mushroom, shoving it in his mouth as he pulled open the door to the vault.
I went to move to give it to someone else, but my body shook again, my eye sight going black. I heard my body hit the floor and then the jar shatter. A had one clean breath before a black out.
~
When I woke everyone but Malia was standing over me. Lottie holding my hand, Chloe holding the other, and Scott had my head pulled into his lap. "I fainted didn't I?" I asked the group of worried faces. Everyone let out a laugh of relief at me being awake. I turned to Allison, noticing the silver blood still on her jacket. "Sorry about your jacket."
She let out a laugh, "Ehh, the silver looks cool anyways."
"Okay, last question. Where's Malia, and why is Stiles covered in blood?"
"Scott's dad shot someone, so that someone would shoot me. And as Malia.." Stiles drifted off.
"She left." Isaac said. "She found out she's Hale, and she left."
