During dinner, Asher held Alice's hand. The sparks between them were unmatched, especially when they held hands, kissed, and were in each other's embrace. This showed how they were destined to be together. Nick and Tara offered for Penny to stay at their house to protect her. Alice explained that Penny has no family now since they disowned her 3 years ago. Janie and Jake were asking all kinds of questions to Jeremy about Penny.

For instance, "Are you dating? If so how long? How could you move on so fast from Alice?" Alice noticed how uncomfortable Jeremy was getting and said, "As you know, Asher and I are dating. Jeremy is spending time with Penny and taking things slow." Penny agreed and said, "He is being a gentleman and we both need time to sort out our feelings for each other." Jeremy nodded and wiped his brow. He mouthed a thank you dramatically to both of them for taking the questions from the 17 year old twins.

Asher changed the subject talking about how he had promised to give electric guitar lessons to Jake. Jake replied, "That would be awesome! Thanks, man." Asher's phone started to go off and he politely excused himself. He whispered to Alice, "It's my mom, I will be right back, kitten". He kissed her lips and hurried outside to take the call. Janie said, "You are such a cute couple! I hope to find that someday." Alice reassured her that she would. Jake spoke, "No dating until we start college, sis. There are way too many players in high school." She sighed then nodded in agreement with her brother. Jake and Janie hung out with the same group of people. They would always looked out for each other and were close friends.

Asher was listening to his mother say, "I won't be home for another two months since business is booming. I am sorry, son. I love you." His Mom hung up after she told him about staying longer. The truth was her work filled the void of coping with her husband's death. Alice was talking about how she couldn't believe that Janie and Jake were seniors in high school and how time flies.

Jeremy announced that he would move back in with his parents, Carter and Katie. He said, "I think moving back in with my parents will help me protect everyone better." He whispered to Penny, "It is also because it gives me more time to spend with you too." Penny was all smiles after Jeremy's sweet words.  Alice told everyone, "I believe Jeremy's roommate, Max could be the next target for the killer since Carly feared for his life."

Asher sat outside with his face in his hands. He understood his mom was in pain but it seemed that she was pushing away from him all together which was making things worse. Asher put on a brave face and took a deep breath then went back inside. Nick told Jeremy to call his roommate so he could be warned and to offer protection. Jeremy went to call him and left a message. He also decided to text him too. Everyone was too busy talking and laughing to notice Asher's aura change when he came back to the table.

Alice knew instantly and whispered, "Come with me, my amazing boyfriend." She excused herself and took his hand. They went in the backyard to the gazebo. Asher smiled when Alice said, "Dance with me." He commented, "Kitten, you are always so amazing and adorable. I love it when we dance together." Asher put his arms around her waist. They slow danced without music and looked into each other's eyes with so much love and intensity. She spoke softly, "You were what I was missing in my life. I love you with all of my heart. I can tell since your mood changed that things haven't improved with your mom. Give it time. I know she will come around."

He gave her passionate kisses then pulled away saying, "You have no idea, Alice how much I love you. I would always fight my way back to you. I will give it time but she won't be back for two more months. It will all be okay because I have you. You are everything I will ever want and need." Alice replied, "The way you look at me and the words you speak tell me every day how much I am loved. You are my whole world, Asher Parker."

Meanwhile, Max was about to answer Jeremy's text when his door was broken down. The guy in the black hoodie laughed menacingly. He said muffled, "You will not make it out of here alive, Max. You stole my girl and you will pay dearly for it. I made you send those text messages to Alice to make you think you would be safe. You are a dead man." Max raised his voice, "She ended things with you because it wasn't right. Now I know who you are! I loved Carly and you are a demented person." Max fought with the masked man until the guy pulled out a gun. The black hoodie guy asked, "Any last words?" He said, "Go to hell!"

His last thought was of Carly's face. Her auburn hair, the smell of her lilac perfume, and her sparkling blue eyes when she said she loved him. The gun went off and Max fell to the ground. The hoodie guy took off his hood and said, "Good riddance, now all I have to do is kill, Alice." He dashed quickly into the night assuming Max was dead. Max managed to call 911 with his cell phone before blacking out.

Jeremy had a bad feeling about Max when his phone started to ring. It was the San Marcos Hospital. Asher and Alice came back inside to witness Jeremy's face in shock. The guy in the black hoodie was now at Alice's house. He smirked while watching everything play out. He stood by Asher's car and whispered, "Soon, Alice you will be dead along with your boyfriend. He won't protect you this time."
